  1. Ugh, Pierce's father sucked. No wonder he's like that.

And why does the group call out Pierce on his homophobia, but not Shirley? I don't get it.

  2. Glad to see Jeff stand up for Pierce, thinking this episode will brew thoughts for Jeff to find his father and it'd be cool for Pierce to help Jeff out when that happens.

As for Troy and Laybourne, I definitely foresee Troy and Jeff continue to butt heads as Troy wants to be taken more seriously as an adult and it escalates to the point that Troy accepts Laybourne's offer since it seems like Laybourne definitely wants Troy as a part of the annex.

This episode may not have been big on laughs (hilarious at the priest saying Britta is the worst and Chang going home with the singer of that song with Hawthorne wipes), but it did set up some potential plot lines I hope they take.

  3. The ending of the show with Troy and Abed and the Dr. Who stuff cracked me up! I also love how they had on their Halloween costumes from last week too. LOL!

  4. Surprised this ep has so many "Ok" votes. I think this is one of their best episodes. It really felt like we were back in S1 as far as quality of jokes/dialogue goes.

Britta as a psych major is pretty hilarious and was a great idea. I'm glad they're running with it.

  7. It was good. We saw Chang in a capacity that's okay for me, any more of Chang has seriously annoyed me so far this season and his 2 lines this episode were good.

I guess we saw a glimpse of what's to come later this season - Jeff's daddy issues and Troy's repairing gift. It was great to see Jerry the plumber again, this guy is great. And John Goodman was awesome too.
Jeff kind of continues to be this year's bad guy. I read an interview saying that he's going through hell this season and I suppose it'll all have to do with has daddy issues. It would be great if they'd really manage to get Bill Murray as his dad.

  8. I liked this episode a whole lot, and am surprised others were so lukewarm on it. I thought the dialogue was very sharp. So good to see Chevy Chase's talents being used after last year's Evil Pierce wore thin. He even got to use his "...and you're not" line from his SNL days. His dad's over-the-topness was very funny and the relationship with Jeff was moving. And Britta's description of the Oedipus complex was hilarious. Voted Awesome!

  9. Would have liked this episode to have been a bit longer to see more of the Pierce/Jeff stuff it was done really well

  10. I loved it when the priest at the funeral called Britta "the worst" after yet another oedipal reference.  I laughed so hard at that.

  11. Great episode.

Britta was hilariously annoying, Pierce was just hilarious, and Jeff shouting Pierce's dad to death was the best.  I hope we see the ivory toupee again.  That's a great prop.
