I am sadly resigned to losing Harry's Law and Body Of Proof. I feel that The Good Wife should be given a fourth season. CSI Miami, NY and House are well past their prime. It's hard to justify the poor performances of Community and Fringe; but I'd like to see Charlies Angels at least make it to the Holiday break.
I feel the same way about Harry's Law and Body of Proof.
BoP is just another procedural and got a bit tired to me even last year I guess.
Harry's Law had potential, but skewed old and this new cast and the adjustment of the tone of the series is making me lose interest somewhat. I'm not a fan of straight ahead law dramas and only liked HL for David E Kelley's sense of irreverent humor. Now that much of that is gone and it is leaning to law drama more and more..... meh.
House had contract holdbacks that left the show hanging last spring. I would assume because it is House, they would have covered those issues for at least another season.
The first episode was relativelly strong for such a veteran show, so I too think it unlikely for it to be canceled.
See, I'm one of the older viewers who can connect more with characters over forty; while not caring a bit about a show where the majority of the cast is in their teens or twenties. I'm also old enough to (barely) connect to the events in Pan-Am; which is the first period piece I've enjoyed in years.
Agreed on older actors. I think MORE series should have a number of cast members over 40... and I mean in LEAD roles!Sorry to offend anyone (not really), but the level of acting just tends to go up with more experienced actors who have lived more, experienced more and can connect to their roles better than the younger generation of actors.
Plus let's be honest.... there are more 45-year old and older chiefs of police or lead detectives or District Attorneys than 20 or 30-somethings. It just adds a sense of realism.
It's part of the reason I prefer the British crime dramas on ITV and BBC by far to the american crime dramas as a rule.
The issue as most of us understand it is for the most part financial. The licensing deal with Universal is preventing Fox from making any money on the show; which is why several actors were asked to take pay cuts.
I think it's gonna be renewed.. Gossip Girl is the solid lead on Monday Nights for The CW. Hart of Dixie is good but looking on the ratings, it is going to be cancelled this year along with Ringer. Maybe even The Secret Circle too. Without that and One Tree Hill (final season next year) you need a lead in.
If Gossip Girl is gonna be cancelled, then they have no position in Monday Nights for new shows to capitalize on. And I think 90210 isn't gonna be cancelled as well.
Personally, I think it's gonna improve on the ratings if Gossip Girl and 90210 is paired again, they have the same feel: glamour in the cities..
Hart of Dixie should be paired with Ringer because they're the same: new in town, both drama's albeit the latter is more drama driven whereas the first is more romantic/comedy..
But they need solid shows to lead them in so I don't think it's gonna happen...
Did Whitney, Touch, Allen Gregory, and the cable shows not receive predictions? There may be others, but I just now noticed that those weren't on the list.
Gossip girl is not a solid lead to hart of dixie .im we in the same page 90210 had better rating that gossip girl this season so the excuse of if gossip girl is canceled 90210 as well to , Is a lamest excuse , yes and the secret circle and the ringer cancel to , you know much about rating
In terms of ratings, it's not a solid lead, that's true. But I mean like in terms of a long running show.. If they did cancel GG and renew HoD, they would only have a show that's just a year on tv. Everyone knows for 3 years that Mondays is a GG night..
With that, The CW have more pull on the viewers than airing a year old show *assuming we get to 2012 and HoD is still strong* and airing a new show after HoD..
I said 90210 wouldn't be cancelled since they're doing good on a Tuesday night..
And I think The Secret Circle isn't gonna be cancelled, the comment I said before was posted a month ago when TSC still needed a consistent rating *which they have now and even build up*..
crossing fingers for Alcatraz, even if it feels like only a small hand full is watching. It's such a great show, and it got so much better in the last couple episodes.
These predictions were made by readers before the 2011-2012 season even started, just based on the premise of the show. So it is just what readers thought would happen. That doesn't mean it is going to happen. Quite a few shows in the "Predicted to Be Cancelled" will not be cancelled because they are doing well. This includes Revenge, which by all counts, is expected to be renewed.
Not a bad score now that it's almost full. We're perhaps a tad more negative about cancellations than we need to be. Too many times getting burnt over personal favourites I guess.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
A lot of wishful thinking there :P
ReplyDelete1 for 1 yay
ReplyDeleteI don;t think shows like House will be cancelled though.
Actually house barely got renewed last year and this year is considered its final season but unconfirmed its about costs not ratings
ReplyDeleteI hope Suburgatory doesn't get cancelled. I really like it.

Ha, indeed it should :) I'll fix it when we do the next update :)
ReplyDelete2010/11? Shouldn't it be 2011/12?
ReplyDeleteI forgot we voted on this :)

Of course SpoilerTV readers have 100% success. Not that we are obsessed or anything.....

ReplyDeleteWho predicted GossipGirl to be renewed? It won't be.
ReplyDeleteYou can probably put readers incorrect for 2 broke girls. I don't watch the show, but I have seen the numbers no way that is getting cancelled.
ReplyDeleteWe only update when we get official confirmations :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't REVENGE renewed? Or was it just extended for the full season?
ReplyDeleteJust a full Season Pickup

What are your thoughts about PP getting renewed for another season?
ReplyDeleteDid Whitney, Touch, Allen Gregory, and the cable shows not receive predictions? There may be others, but I just now noticed that those weren't on the list.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think is the likelihood that PP will be renewed for one more season? Btw...this week's episode seems like it's going to be really good!
ReplyDeleteIt should be OK although it still not 100% safe
ReplyDeleteWhite Collar has been renewed for a 4th season. Why isn't it listed?
ReplyDeleteIt's not on one of main broadcast networks
ReplyDeleteAfter Thurs. night's big 2hour episode...what are your thoughts now in regards to the renewal of PP?
ReplyDeleteWhat are your thoughts now regarding the renewal of PP, after the big 2 hour episode? I've heard the ratings have been ok this season.
ReplyDeleteGossip girl is not a solid lead to hart of dixie .im we in the same page 90210 had better rating that gossip girl this season so the excuse of if gossip girl is canceled 90210 as well to , Is a lamest excuse , yes and the secret circle and the ringer cancel to , you know much about rating

I have a feeling (factoring in the latest ratings) Fringe -unfortunatelly- will be getting a red tag...
ReplyDeletethanks for the update. this is the most comprehensive list on the net as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteSo far with 8/9 correct we're doing pretty good :)
ReplyDeleteI can't see the image :( What do I need to do to see it? :)
ReplyDeleteIf Work It would have been a hit,i would have turned off the box for good.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no surprise that Work It and Man Up were cancelled...Just saying... :)
ReplyDeleteHouse bites the dust...not sure what im gonna do Monday nights.
ReplyDeleteHouse is cancelled?? That's sad!
ReplyDeleteI don't mourn the loss of what Terra Nova was, but I do mourn the loss of what it could have been.
ReplyDeleteTotally.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wasted opportunity.
I didn't know this exists. Glad to see that Fringe is on the predicted to be renewed side. Now with TN gone - In the end I have to believe in HOPE!
ReplyDeleteThese predications were made before any episodes aired :)
ReplyDeleteparty destroyer! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand,I read that The Finder was being moved to Fridays. Are that just being move till the end of the season
ReplyDeleteThat's even better :)
ReplyDeleteStill hanging on to the the straw of HOPE!
Ha, me too :)
ReplyDeleteRevenge should be renewed! It's an awesome show. Well, at least a good buch of my fave shows are safe for now :)
ReplyDeleteYou have to put in a red bar on Two Broke Girls. Readers were incorrect on that one.
ReplyDeleteA red bar needs to be put on Two Broke Girls. It was renewed and readers predicted it to be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteYep, we'll make sure it's added to our next update.
ReplyDelete2 Broke Girls renewed! Readers wrong.
ReplyDeleteCBS is the first to come to their senses and renew everything they were suppose too!
ReplyDeleteWow, we are doing really good other than the four wrong guesses :)
ReplyDeleteDisappointed to see Breaking In get the axe...again. But wasnt terribly shocked.I loved S1, but have only really liked S2
ReplyDeleteWas amazed Fox renewed it after Season 1 where the ratings were pretty poor then.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Happy Endings renewed? Did I miss something?!
ReplyDeleteNope, no decision has been made yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your "prediction" on that?
ReplyDeleteHard to call.
ReplyDeleteIt's very close to the In Danger zone of our Cancellation Table http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/spoilertv-cancellation-predicator-table.html
I think it's good.....
ReplyDeletethe firm? anyone knows its faith? (what does green mean ?)
ReplyDeleteGreen means that the SpoilerTV Reader predicted it correctly.
ReplyDeleteYES FRINGE!!! Everything is right in the world,at least for today! :D
ReplyDeletecrossing fingers for Alcatraz, even if it feels like only a small hand full is watching. It's such a great show, and it got so much better in the last couple episodes.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Revenge in predicted to be cancelled, it looks so safe based on the ratings!
ReplyDeleteThese predictions were made by readers before the 2011-2012 season even started, just based on the premise of the show. So it is just what readers thought would happen. That doesn't mean it is going to happen. Quite a few shows in the "Predicted to Be Cancelled" will not be cancelled because they are doing well. This includes Revenge, which by all counts, is expected to be renewed.
ReplyDeleteoh, didn't know that, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteExactly :)
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping Alcatraz pulls through!
ReplyDeleteSure looks good seeing Fringe in the green box.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't you wait for a press release before you update SPN's status?
ReplyDeleteSUPERNATURAL KICKED IT IN THE ASS ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad Supernatural is renewed, also glad The Vampire Diaries is:)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand what "readers in/correct" means, but Two and a Half Men is renewed for a tenth season.
ReplyDeleteOMMGGG GO ON SUPERNATURAL YOU DO ME PROUD! BEST SHOW ON TV!
ReplyDeleteRead lucinders comment below!
ReplyDelete90210 is in red, but it's renewed right?
ReplyDeleteYes, that;s correct.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Reader PREDICTIONS chart. The Red Indicates that the Readers predicted it incorrectly.
Not a bad score now that it's almost full. We're perhaps a tad more negative about cancellations than we need to be. Too many times getting burnt over personal favourites I guess.
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteWe done good, not great but good!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about CSI Miami, I really didn't see that one coming. I thought the New York one would get cancelled :(
ReplyDeleteLove the polls and the guessing games on spoilerTV!
ReplyDelete90210 is in red, but it's renewed right?
