Grey's Anatomy - Casting News - Rachael Taylor to appear on last 2 Episodes

Don’t go reading Dr. Lucy her last rites just yet.

Despite being cast in ABC’s high profile Charlie’s Angels pilot, Rachael Taylor’s Grey’s Anatomy stint is far from over. According to series creator Shonda Rhimes, the Transformers knockout will return to Seattle Grace — and Alex’s loving arms? — after production on the pilot wraps.

“We only really lose her for two episodes,” says Rhimes. “She’s contractually obligated to us for the rest of the season, so she’s coming back when she’s done [with Angels] for our last two episodes.”

    Is anyone else feeling that if Charlie's isn't picked up Taylor will be the next new season regular?
    I know that Shonda said no more, but really, really?

    I'm sure Shonda Rhimes and Grey's Anatomy are going to hedge their bets with Rachel Taylor. They're going to leave her situation as ambiguous as possible and I wouldn't put it past 'em to leave her storyline on a bit of a cliffhanger. This way, they have leeway in the fall no matter what happens with Charlie's Angels.

    I really hope you're right. But for that I gotta say that I also really hope CA fails big time. Wouldn't it just be mean if Lucy were to disappear just like that because Rachael isn't available anymore? Poor Alex, really, he deserves to have a serious girlfriend that sticks! Like Lucy, they really have the chemistry and they so cute together.

    If Charlie's Angels gets picked up and Taylor becomes unavailable I'd be willing to bet that Shonda Rhimes finds Alex a long-term love interest for next season. It's long overdue.

    Yeah it is long overdue. But it's getting kind of boring. I mean, first Izzie, Rebecca and Lexie and now Lucy and it just never lasts long and this time I really want it to last because Lucy and Alex are so cute together and have great chemistry.
