We all know (well, if we do it's certainly not thanks to the "high promotion" ABC made for it) that this Sunday's episode is not gonna be just a simple episode but the big milestone of the 100th episode. So, surely, there are going to be big things and fireworks at the Walkers'.
Let's begin with the prodigal son return: Tommy. He comes back from Seattle and takes with him a surprise for his family: a new girlfriend, Rose, who seems everything but shy and who'll bring some drama. But Tommy is not the only returnee for the special occasion, in fact, Luc comes back from his work trip in China to join the big Walker family dinner.
Of course an episode you don't have to miss since it seems to be a full-old Walker style episode we've all been craving for. The only flaw is the absence of Calista's character, Kitty. In fact she temporarily moved to Washington for a mysterious issue that we still don't know, but we don't have to worry since we know that she'll come back in a few episodes. Her temporary departure is because of her personal request to reduce her screen-time this year.
Then, ABC early renewed six of its shows (Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Modern Family, Better With You, Castle and Cougar Town) but Brothers & Sisters did not compare on the list and they said that the chances of cancellation/renewal are 50%. This thing worried the fans who didn't lose any time and created groups and pages to give their message to ABC expressing their will in wanting a new season and to show love and support to Brothers & Sisters cast and crew.
Many of the fans are writing on boards, official pages on Facebook expressing their disappointment in knowing that their favourite show might not be renewed for 2011/2012. I'm personally a fan and I'd like to give you the addresses to reach this pages and join if you want to:

I think it is strange that they would air the 100th episode of a show while on another network the Golden Globes are aired, I would say postpone that episode until next week.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Janneke, but then of course that would mean that ABC would care for this show, which is doesn't. Look at little is done to promote this show.... 100th Episode and the promo can't even bother to mention it. Says enough.
ReplyDeleteABC is just waiting for a new drama with good ratings, to get rid of B&S. I now it's harsh, but sadly it's the truth.

ReplyDeleteSadly this season of B&S has been awful - and they can't even afford to keep half of their cast on full time. Hope this is the finale season. Also I'd hope ABC would AT LEAST give it a proper ending and not just cancel it.
Also - am I the only one who cannnnot stand Luc?
Don't really agree with ABC wanting to kill it, of all the major networks I think ABC is one of the best for looking after shows, I mean look at Fox.
ReplyDeleteI've gotta say this. I am truly a B&S fan...BUT...the fact is that the show storyline is going downward non-stop...I mean if we look back at the two first seasons they got nothing to do with the current one.

I mean if you really think about it...Where is Brothers and Sisters anymore?
Truth is...it MOST be cancel before the Walker Family storyline....or (the original cast memebers) disappear...

ReplyDeleteBut it's really been on the decline. Lack of captivating storylines, no real emotion/conflict, and they've lost a lot of good, central characters lately. It would be sad to see it go but I'd rather see it end before it outstays its welcome.
ABC's new series, 'Off The Map' is a HUGE FLOP. As almost all the new shows. So it would be a really bad decision from ABC to cancel a show with average 8-9 million viewers to a lot of new flops... They should give a puffer to the writers of B&S to write better episodes (like the previous 2 episodes) and not give money to disastrous new shows...
