Supernatural Poll - Best One-Shot PiP (Season 3)

It's slim pickings in season 3 for one-shot PiP's. Besides having a shortened season most of the episodes focused on recurring characters. I love season 3 and its standalone episodes, but there isn't a whole lot to choose from for our purposes. Still voice your choice because comments are more fun!

  1. So few choices and still its hard for me. I hate Ghostfacers so Corbett's out on principle although I will admit he was the best thing about this episode. The kid who played Katie was great except that for almost the whole episode she is the monster. The only pre-monster kid who stood out to me was Ben, and he's out because he is a recurring character. That leaves Dana who did a great job portraying a mom being driven insane by her UnKid. I thoroughly enjoyed that performance. However, Nancy was a great character too. She even had a couple of good lines. Not to mention, she was a person in peril who was in the most peril, being that she died in the end (and gruesomely apparently).

  2. Voted Dana... she's the one who sticks in my mind the most.

  3. Once again, even though I nominated the kids, I'm having second thoughts now it's time to vote.........
They were awesome kids but none of them grabbed me like Ben......so.....
For me it has to be Nancy......she was willing to sacrifice herself to save the rest.....and then once that was no longer an issue she helped to seal the demons in the building.....
Jus in Bello is one of my favorite episodes - mainly because it was the first one I ever saw - but also because there wasn't an 'and they all lived happily ever after' at the end......instead all those courageous people were wiped out.....and poor, poor Nancy......

  4. The whole Ghostfacers annoyed me too! I don't much care for those shows where they go into some 'haunted' place and start feeling drafts while filming in night vision. I went with Nancy, she was sweet and it was unfortunate she had to go. Also I remember her! The Kids are Alright was a good episode, the kids were definitely creepy with their mouths but we didn't really see the real kids that much.

  5. I thought the Kids Are Alright was in season 2. Sheesh, it's all blurring together!!! TO THE DVDS!

  6. no actually it was season 3, you're thinking of CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS which was season 2.

  7. I went for Nancy (whom I loved), I think she was one of the best PiPs they've had on the show. Her willingness to sacrifice herself for the greater good and her general strength of character made it easy to empathise with her, and I was genuinely upset when we learned at the end of the episode that she hadn't made it out. Also, she symbolised an interesting moral turning point for the boys: it would be interesting to see if they were ever in such a situation again, if they would just sacrifice the one. I'd like to say no, but I don't think it's that cut and dried anymore. Also a point in Nancy's favour: she has one of the best one liners (not delivered by a regular) in the show; "If we get out of this, I am going to have so much sex...not with you!"

  8. Although it's been said, many times, many ways,(Cheers to anyone who gets that reference) I went with Nancy. She was the only one I felt really, really bad for. Imagine this:You've just been saved from death, and then you're tortured for 45 minutes. :(

  10. I was stuck between Dana and Nancy, but I had to go with Nancy in the end.. :P
I actually loved the Ghostfacers, they cracked me up XD I just didn't like Corbett that much..

  11. I felt bad for Corbett but ended up choosing Nancy. Her character stuck with me. She was willing to sacrifice herself to help save everyone. It was a shock when Lillith came in and killed her along with Henriksen and that deputy. I felt bad that she ended up dying.

  12. That's one of my favorite lines of the episode. Truly classic!

  13. I guess I enjoyed each one of them to an extant, but Nancy in Jus in Bello was by far the best for this season. I would have picked Ben if he weren't a recurring character. Most assuredly a season with few choices. I have often wondered what Season three would have been like if there had been no writer's stsrike. On the other side of the coin, we probably would not have had Clay Walker and Tom Hanniger.

  14. love this too! but the poor girl didn't get to have any sex in her life in the end, that's sad...

  15. Voted for Nancy, she was so sweet and innocent, yet ready to sacrifice herself to save the others. I loved how Dean went all protective over her (also loved how he was like "nobody is a virgin" and couldn't believe there still were some in this world... lol).
I really liked Katie too, but the girl we were seing the whole episode through wasn't exatcly Katie, but a changeling, so I'm not sure if this should count, cause I guess I liked the monster and not the girl lol.

  16. missed this but would have voted corbett
i thought his death was sadder because it had a larger affect on the episode and the characters
nancy was my second pick though

  17. one of my faves too, which is funny because it was probably (apart from the new season) the last episode i saw from the first 5 seasons.
not really sure how that happened

  18. definitely nancy. jus in bello has definitely one of the most depressing ending, even the brothers were so disappointed at the end.
