A big blow out to the fans in a recent interview with ET Canada Emily Deschanel confirms that the Spinoff is just a rumour but may happen after Season 6

Here's what she said: 'It's all misreported completely. That was not by us (referring to the cast and crew of the show) at all. So, there's a lot of false information in there... There maybe a spinoff. And it wouldn't happen til the end of the season.'

    Hart Hanson tweeted he was supposed to be writing the pilot(?) either this week or last. It's definitely happening. However, my understanding was that the original cast were most probably not going to be in it.
