  4. Among the 18-49 audence Smallville beat reruns of human Target and modern family.Among the CW shows
In total ratings of the week Smallville was third behind The Vampire Diaries and Nikita.Supernatural did
decently too.Actully beating the good guys among the 18-49 audence, and was the CW'S fifth highest rated
show after The vampire diaries,Nikita,Smallville, and America's Next top Model.

  5. Supernatural actually beat Nikita in the demo too - SPN 1.2 vs. Nikita 1.1.

  6. Awesoem that Supernatural and Smallville are going strong for being on Fridays. Keep it up.

  7. That's on par with last year. Guess the move to Friday did not hurt. I'm not used to seeing Supernatural ahead of anyone in any segment. Good for them!

  8. Ha! Just as I thought. Old people are flocking to CBS's "Blue Bloods" like it was the world's greatest early bird special. The aging "CSI: NY" lead-in probably helped with that significantly.

Between CSI: NY, The Good Wife, and Blue Bloods, CBS is going to have another "Without A Trace" situation on its hands. The network is going to have to choose which hour-long drama (that gets excellent total viewer ratings and bad demo numbers) to cancel because the low demo numbers can't justify the cost of producing the show.

  9. Good for Blue Bloods, the best hour of TV I've seen in a while. Those are decent demo numbers for a Friday at 10pm in this day and age.

Also the CW have got to be pleased with those numbers, Friday was their second best performing day this week and I imagine that will be the case for most of the season.

It'll be interesting to see how Good Guys does with an original Human Target as a lead in.

Probably not well. When FOX decided to move these two shows to Friday, they said they were still trying to make Friday a popular viewing night of TV but I think they were being disingenuous. What they were really thinking is that they hope both shows do well but really don't expect them to. Friday is still a TV graveyard for the big 4 networks.

  11. Wow, Smallville and Supernatural brought it! The only night the CW can keep up with the other channels, apparently.

  16. and Spn stay in the top shows of the CW (when you have 3M on the CW, you're a star, while if you have 3M on CBS, you just bought a ticket to the garbage. it's depend

Spn is a little above the average of last year even if we're on friday, with no promo, it's really good considering (Friday is the stop you put shows you hate to kill them)

  17. Yep, it's going to be very interesting to see the DVR/+7 numbers when
they start to come out. I think a LOT more people are not recording
and watching shows than they were a year ago.

  18. Last year, on a Thursday, SPN's premiere had a 3.39, then leveled off to around a 2.7 average for the season. So we could still come in a little lower than last year, but that's to be expected on a Friday. But, like Smallville last year, I would expect the DVR numbers to increase and boost the ratings back to where they were. In essence, if SPN maintains the ratings from last year despite the new night, it's a victory for the little show that could. We'll know more after next week, but it's a good start.

  19. I thought Supernatural did really well considering the lack of decent promotion.

  20. These charts confuse me! But, TVguide said that CW came in 3rd place, but was that for the week or for Friday night alone? I think Supernatural will do well on Fridays. I watched Smallville and l am not sure why (except to see John Schneider for 4 minutes) because I had no clue on what was going on! But, watching Supernatural was so worth it. It is just awesome having Sam and Dean back! I have really missed them this summer.

  21. Anyone know what Supernatural's ratings were last year? High, low, and average? I think that would help us put this in perspective.
