Banshee - Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends - Review: "I heard you were looking for me"

Wow ! Banshee continued to surprise and amaze me each week. Last Friday, "Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends" was another excellent episode of this finale season, perhaps one of the best since episode 02. Everything is fitting perfectly in place, the tension has reached a whole new level, especially with the two epic scenes happening by the end of the episode. Plus, an episode that starts with a woman setting herself in fire in the sheriff department couldn’t disappoint.

The coolest part of the episode were Hood and Veronica duo, investigating the serial killer. They were really fun together, they make the perfect cop duo. It’s a new element in the show but it’s totally working. The interaction really brought something new and exciting to the show. Hood and Veronica learnt a little more about each other, Hood found her crack pipe and she told him she guessed he was a real criminal and not from law enforcement. What a cute couple.
Their investigation led them to the doctor who implanted the crazy horns into the serial killer head and a bartender who revealed them the killer real name and some weird things he was able to do. I don’t want to talk about the fingernails things, so glad they didn’t show. And waiting for some intel about one of his first victim, Hood and Veronica spent the night together, and he didn’t sleep in the couch this time.
I was surprised that they used flashback to Hood and Siobhan when he was with Veronica. It was truly heartbreaking, he still can’t get over her and what happened. It was tragic but I was glad Veronica was there for him, they’re both damaged in their own ways, but I do think they fit well together.Unfortunately, things aren’t looking very good for Veronica as we left her in the hands of the serial killer. Oops, he better not crack her neck in front of Hood. No one is ready for that to happen again.

But the best parts of "Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends" were Job, Carrie and Deva’s scenes. Job was still struggling with his post traumatic stress, which got a little worst when Deva decided to break in her mother’s house. I haven’t realized that Job and Deva never meet, but their introduction was great.
The family reunion was cool, but after playing the vigilante in Banshee and getting against Proctor, he finally struck back at her. He first went to confirm Cruz’ suspicions in court to Carrie, who was so badass and cold. I’m really liking this new Carrie, more determined and cold. She fights for the right reasons and got attacked for it. It was quite shocking to see so many armed men entering her property. The worst part was that Deva was in the house with her ! Damn. Carrie's fight against Cruz was once again splendid and so breathe taking. Banshee never disappoints with the fighting scenes. And I really wanted Carrie to kill that bitch !
Deva might had some doubts about Job and how he could be useful when she first met him in the kitchen with her mother’s sweat but when the gunmen came in, I’m sure she got it. He came to save her and told her how to survive. He was so kind to protect her and risk his life, one more time. He barely started to get better since his abduction. There's no rest in Banshee. But Deva had to kill a guy to save herself. I don’t know how it will affect her. She likes to play the rough and hardcore girl but she came from a loving and stable family, even if her mother lied to her and she was very shocked. But on the other hand, if she’s anything like her parents, it won’t be his last kill.

And finally, "Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends" continued the brotherhood / Proctor storyline. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of it, but I’m waiting to see how it will be wrapped up. Calvin has taken the power and he has even threatened Proctor. He wants everything and to run everything. Hmm I’m not sure how Proctor will retaliate but I’m guessing there will be blood.

"Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends" was another excellent episode of Banshee, this final season is really amazing. There are only two episodes left to go before the show is definitely over ! I’m so excited and sad to see the end of the adventures of Hood and Co.
What did you think of "Only One Way a Dog Fight Ends" ? Which was your favorite part ? How long until Carrie kills Cruz ? Do you think Veronica will survive ? Hit the comments !

Banshee notes :

- Rebecca’s funeral was so depressing
- Brock got attacked ! I kinda jumped my seat even though it was expected. It’s not easy to be the sheriff in Banshee
- I think Gordon has been mentioned in every episodes this season.
- We got to see Calvin naked body. I kinda wish it was Bunker instead
- Which was the most disgusting ? The head in Proctor’s office or the girl in fire in the sheriff station ?
