Orphan Black - The Collapse of Nature - Advance Preview

Oye, Oye, Clone Club, our favorite show is finally back ! Orphan Black will start its fourth season this Thursday (new timeslot !) on BBC America with "The Collapse of Nature". And it will be a surprising and exciting season premiere !

I must say I’m super excited for this new season. Not that I didn’t like last season, I might be in the minority here but I actually loved last season. I know there had been complaints from some members of the CloneClub about S3, with the complexity of the story, the focus on the new Castor clones and the Cosima and Delphine painful breakup. Those new stories changed the very nature of Orphan Black, which only focus had been the Leda clones for two seasons.
IMO, those changes were necessary and very interesting. The writers needed to expand their universe, and the Castor Clones were a great tool to do that. It put the sisters in a new place, where they weren’t the only living clones and nothing was safe anymore. Paul turned out to be working with Castor since the beginning and beautifully sacrificed himself for Sarah. I will never forget Hot Paul.
But mostly, thanks to the Castor addition, we finally got to know who the original was ! And it was a real surprise. I never could have guessed it was Kendall Malone. It was a bold move from the writers to first have the same original for the two clones projects and then to have her related to Mrs S. I hope we’ll see more of her this season, I’m sure she can play a part in the cure for the clones sickness.

For this new season, from the promotional photos, the different interviews and the 4 minutes sneak peek, it looks like the writers have decided to go back to the roots of Orphan Black with the introduction of a new clone, MK, always portrayed by the wonderful Tatiana Maslany (who’s definitely the hardest working actress in the industry) and also the reintroduction of Beth Childs.
I was super thrilled to find out the season will open on a flashback. We definitely need to see more of Beth Childs, she’s the most mysterious clones for me. We never had the chance to see who she really was. And linking her to MK is an excellent way to introduce her on the show, she’s not just a clone popping out of nowhere, she is already connected to them, through Beth. And in "The Collapse of Nature", we will learn a bit more about Beth and MK relationships.
Going back to the roots also means for Orphan Black dealing with the Neolutionists. I’ve always been intrigued by them since they were first introduced, they’re flying always under the radar, never where or who we expect them to be. And it turns out they are the biggest threat against the seestras since they are both behind Project Leda and Project Castor.

The season 4 premiere, "The Collapse of Nature", will reveal some crucial information about the Neolutionists and how they operate. Of course, most parts of their organization remain a mystery but that’s what so exciting, we’re probably going to have the whole season to explore their world.
And here are some other teasers about "The Collapse of Nature" :
- I don’t know how to say it, but Tatiana Maslany’s performances on Orphan Black are just breathtaking. I’m still amazed how she can pull off so many different characters in the same episode. That woman is a genius.
- There will be a sweet and unexpected kiss… Maybe more than one.
- Someone will be very eager to introduce himself/herself to a Leda clone.
- A couple will discuss going on holidays.
- Someone will be moving out after a breakup.
- There’s not much I can say about MK, but she’s definitely cryptic.
-  There will be a romantic dinner, with candles and music but everything might seem too perfect on the outside.
- Alison will have some fun with a gun while another seestra will intend to use one in a more serious way.

"The Collapse of Nature" is one of the most surprising and thrilling episode of Orphan Black. The seestras are back and this season promises to be another excellent ride, as usual full of surprises and twists. The season premiere is definitely a must see episode, it’s a very important episode to the show mythology. And it’s probably the best season premiere yet !
Don’t miss "The Collapse of Nature" this Thursday on BBC America ! How excited are you about Orphan Black new season ? Which parts are you the most looking forward ? How intrigued are you by MK ? Hit the comments !

And finally the quotes game ! Guess which character will say those quotes ! (clones can have two quotes max.)
1- "She wants an expense report !"
2- "I don’t need you yet."
3- "I just wanna blast something right now"
4- "Are you gonna pass ?"
5- "I don’t have many friends"
6- "How do you know that ?"
7- "Yeah, we’re related"
8- "You’re not scared enough"
9- "I was released without charge"
10- "I can live without kids"
