  1. I really enjoyed that premiere! It had great heart, the rainy scenes looked great and it was so wonderful to see everyone again, oh how I’ve missed them :) It was also creepy..

I loved Stiles’ optimism and wanting his friends to stay together :) The scene between him and Malia really stood out to me, I know how much it means to want to hold onto friends after high school because that’s when everything starts to change.

Gotta say though, those glow in the dark blue claws were pretty cool!

Malia using one hand to lift up the tree was awesome!

    :( A.A. !!! I miss Alison so much :(

    That Ending!! Excited for tomorrow!

  2. Lydia kicking butt is something worth watching. I loved the scenes of Parrish in the creepy house. Still wish they would tell us what he is already.

The ending with the weird "doctors" was epic. Very creepy. They remind me of Cenobites from Hellraiser. Can't wait for more.

  3. That was an awesome and creepy as hell premiere. Welcome back, Teen Wolf!

Very interesting to open up the new season with a flashforward. WOW!! Lydia's at Eichen House and got some badass ninja skills (including that powerful banshee scream)?! That was an awesome scene taking down all the doctors. And some very crucial flashbacks that Lydia gave us. Hmmm, Stiles unconscious after a car accident, Scott and Liam fighting, Mama McCall slapping Sheriff Stilinski, Kira driving away from Scott (and possibly Beacon Hills), Parrish surrounded by fire, and Malia confronting what appears to be her infamous mother, The Desert Wolf. Can't wait for her big introduction in a couple of weeks. But most importantly, how the hell did Lydia end up at Eichen House?!

Now to the start of senior year. Stiles fearing that Scott may not be his best friend for life really struck home for me. I know that same exact feeling that he's going through and it sucks that the people that were your closest friends in high school are suddenly gone from your life forever. "No one gets left behind." Beautiful dialogue. And oh god, moment of silence for Derek Hale and especially Allison Argent when Scott wrote her initials on the bookshelf. They're together forever!! "She would've been with us" "She still is" So many tears were shed. Yay to Malia officially being a senior!

I'm not trusting Theo for a second because new characters coming to Beacon Hills always means trouble so I'll wait till we see him open up to Scott and the pack. Also, the Dread Doctors were freaking awesome. I think they are going to be my favorite Big Bads right next to the Nogitsune. Creepy as f*ck.

Can't wait for ep 2 tomorrow! So happy we don't have to wait a week for it.

  4. Kickass flashforward/ doctors reveal. But my favourite thing had to be the belt sword, it was both hilarious and awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Also Parrish kind of a creeper. Lydia is still 17 at most.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I like Parrish an Lydia but l hope they explicitly wait until she turns 18 to go there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Come on, it's pretty obvious Parrish is a Phoenix.

    ReplyDelete
  8. They've said he's not.

    ReplyDelete
  9. FINALLY! Someone who understands how DISGUSTING that is!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not at MOST, i'm pretty sure she IS 17, they're seniors now so they may birthdays coming up soon but yeah for now she's 17.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Little much with the caps, but yes it's weird.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't have a specific link or quote, but I've seen Davis say it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ah okay, well maybe Dragon?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sorry, that's sore spot with me.

    ReplyDelete
  15. yep l think people kind of forget how weird this would be if their teenage daughter was dating someone much older , there is really no equality there as much as Lydias very mature for her age shes still a minor .
Doing this now will destroy the likability of two characters l love so Jeff D no , they can get together a year from now.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I want to trust Davis but i trusted The 100's creator and he created ACTUAL statutory rape, they had you know..., so i'm scared of what he'll do.

    ReplyDelete
  17. They might have also done it with Aiden. Since it's started that the twins pretended to be high school students and already went through it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. You mean he wrote it. Plus I think Lydia and Aiden already count.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wait are you telling me they weren't legal?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah that's what i meant LOL, you really think the Twins weren't legal?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well Calfornia's age of consent is 18 so yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think they were early 20s.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You gotta be kidding me, that cannot be true! It just can't be! Just because it's not real life doesn't they can skirt around that crime.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dude most wolves in this show are murderers. Including the twins, I think it's safe to say the law means nothing to them.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Not the show, the creators and writers thinking it would be a goods storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh. Well honestly if a show abided by every law in existence with it's characters it'd be boring, and while I have no personal attachment to it, and think it's creepy I don't care that it's a plot.

    ReplyDelete
  27. AWESOME PREMIERE!!!!!!!!!! A.A., I MISS ALLISON SO MUCH!!!!! She should've been there with Scott they belonged together not that dumb fox. Stiles and Malia were amazing in this episode, that cute kiss at the jeep and that HOT kiss in the rain. Malia raising the tree with her hand was so hilarious and her writing "Malia TATE" was a great moment, YAY she's officially a senior! Scott going all True Alpha on that creature was so awesome, i was actually scared that his power was taken away until he got all badass. The Dread Doctors definitely live up to their name, and Davis wasn't playing with us, the first half of the season really IS a flashback!

    ReplyDelete
  28. To put everyone's mind at ease Lydia is 18. In S4 Time of Death her mother said Lydia's 18 birthday was a few weeks away. The time between S4 and S5 should be enough time for an offscreen birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh then never mind. Still creepy but not illegal (though pretty sure her and Aiden might count).

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay so her and Parrish night not illegal but still.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think Lydia's imprisonment is actually her interacting with Dr Valack in her mind considering the guy doesn't have his signature hole in the head. Hope her sonic powers are real though.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Marlene Rådman30 June 2015 at 05:57

    So... Derek is dead?

    ReplyDelete
  33. same could be said about Stiles and Derek and oh man how many people want that to happen, and don't forget the twins pretended to be high schooler :) it's safe to say she already turned 18.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thankfully, Stiles and Derek aren't and will never be a thing (it makes no sense they're barely even friends). Lol, I actually pointed out the twins thing. Yeah turns out she is now. Still creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No he's just not here.

    ReplyDelete
  36. awesome.stiles my fav.

    ReplyDelete
  37. If Parrish is only 22 to 24 I don't find that creepy at all, and going into senior year Lydia is most likely 18 now.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Depends on the age gap IMO more than actual age, I mean, the fact that it is considered a crime for an 18 year old to sleep with a 17 year old is beyond ludicrous.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Most seniors aren't 18 in the beginning (but weirdly apparently Lydia is). And I disagree, he's a cop. Age aside, there should be some professionalism, then again she is 18 and Lydia is Lydia.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh man, awesome premiere. The Doctors are gonna be much better than the assassins. I watched with the captions on and there was The Geneticist, The Surgeon, The Pathologist....loads of creepy potential there haha.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Who are you talking about on the 100.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Allison was older than the rest of the cast actually, she was 17 when the rest were 16.

    ReplyDelete
  43. i think if u have to find out more about theo u just gotta wait for ep2 ending.total WTF? moment.

    ReplyDelete
  44. True. But that is a irregularity. I was actually older than basically everyone in my grade from grade 1 to 12. But in uni well that doesn't apply. I've had a sixty year-old in one of my classes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah he's yeah. I know what you're referring to but really don't wanna spoil.

    ReplyDelete
  46. haha yeah, sorry didn't see your comment :) I actually really like Parrish and Lydia, I didn't think they would turn it romantic any time soon as the end of last season they had a great platonic build up. I am tho not against it. Lydia said even in earlier season she is done with high school boys hahah but I have seen worst cases like in Transformer 4. not sure if you have seen it but half of the movie they try to defend the fact that the 16 year-old girl can date the 20 year-old guy. but tbh I don't really care as the actors are all adults anyway hahah

    ReplyDelete
  47. Huh i think me too LOL

    ReplyDelete
  48. Who else? Lincoln and Octavia

    ReplyDelete
  49. Wait Ivan not trying to sound creepy or rude, but how old are you?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Someone spent the summer watching horror flicks. Loved that vibe. Surprisingly loved the greeting kiss between Scott and Kira. Well, the question about how Parrish feels about Lydia has been answered. (However, if they have him cross the line with her I will be more than just annoyed. It would go completely against the stand up guy I see the character as.) I don't trust the new guy.

Did anyone else get a Hellraiser vibe off the doctors? Lots of horror show visuals tonight. I think the creepiest for me would have to be the crows. Very sweet of Scott to leave Allison's initials behind. YAY!!!! Malia's father still exists! And is parenting. I hope he's not absent all season again.

The tidbits of what's coming up for everyone in the season was really interesting. I figure most of those scene won't play out in the obvious way but I'm looking forward to finding out. Why would Mama McCall slap the Sheriff? What is Parrish being punished?

Enjoyed that a lot. lots of set up for what's to come. Will need to re-watch before before part 2.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The Geneticist being the creepiest idea for a horror show for me. The ways that could go evil...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Okay! That wasn't my imagination. Cool.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Parrish has always been defined as a stand up, old fashioned, Apple Pie kind of a good guy. I expect professionalism, chivalry, and respect from him. (Respect both for her and for where they each are in life.) I have no problem with him being interested or her deciding she'd like to go for it. But, if they have Parrish cross that line with a high school student, more than anything it will feel like the destruction of the character.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I had the Hellraiser thought too! One of the few horror flicks I had to stop for a breather before finishing . :-D

    ReplyDelete
  55. As Stiles was talking about Scott I started asking myself about my highschool best friend. Took me a minute to remember her. Made me a little sad.

    ReplyDelete
  56. How old are YOU? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  57. What do you mean by Parrish being punished?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Whoa you're a kid! LOL, i thought you at least 22-23.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Referring to his anger over getting relegated to, what he considered, menial labor. He seemed to feel like he was getting punished. It was faster than restating the entire scene.

    ReplyDelete

  61. Loved it! Awesome episode. They really embraced the whole senior year stuff.
Scott finally proved to be a real ALPHA! They powered him up a bit, still we need more.
UberBanshee Lydia was freaking awesome can't wait for that stuff to break down.
Kira's belt sword is a must have. Her and Scott have so much great chemistry, hopefully their relationship will be deeper exploited.
Stiles and Malia are gorgeous. She is such a great addition and Sheley is killing it.
Thea hmmmm! Not sure about him but lets see how he will fit in.

The doctors were creepy and that little look ahead with Lydia and that guy was beautiful. Thank U TW for making this summer better.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh i thought you meant Parrish in the flash-forward scenes nit in thr present/past.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Great premiere but the writing on Kira is still disappointing. She may look badaas with her new mobile samurai sword disguised as a belt buckle but she still hasn't won a fight.

And she's a kitsune? Why is she still not using her powers? I know it was raining but still...

    ReplyDelete
  64. ETTA!!!!!!! Are you saying statutory rape is LEGAL in Europe?!

    ReplyDelete
  65. She DOESN'T fight, that the issue! All she does is basically model her weapons and give the bad guys a chance to wipe the floor with her. No one can disagree with that as much as they UGH! may like her, the have to admit that she doesn't fight at all.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lookingforwater30 June 2015 at 10:09

I don't know about all countries in Europe but in many countries the age of consent is 16... but isn't that the same in the USA depending on the State (like some 16, some 17 and some 18)?

    ReplyDelete
  67. "She DOESN'T fight, that the issue!" Oh really now? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Please come up with a better excuse as to why you dislike Kira next time because "she doesn't fight" is certainly not one of them.

  68. Errr, you do realize that the 100 takes place long after the US and its associated laws (along with any other real government) have been destroyed? There can't be any 'statutory rape' because that refers to 'statutes' (regarding the age of consent) that don't exist any more at that time.

Beyond that, age of consent varies WILDLY based on your area. The majority of America's age of consent laws are 16, not 18, Octavia the character is like 17 I believe, AND her actress is in her twenties. It's not statutory rape by any possible definition of the term, whatsoever. Statutory rape doesn't exist in that time, the character herself is too old for it to apply in the majority of the land even if those governments did exist, AND the actress who plays her is too old for even the strictest definition to apply at all.

To put it simply, there is no statutory rape there at all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Lookingforwater30 June 2015 at 10:32

Also you can only call it statutory rape if there is a law backing up the term...if the age of consent is 16 in a country then it is simply not "statutory rape". Anyways everyone is entitled to their opinions :) There are many cultural differences between the USA and European countries, we are more conservative in some matters while you are more conservative in other things.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Tell me one time that she didn't model her swords and just went to her bad guy like the boys.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Wow color me surprised! Is Fringe finished in Europe or is it still airing?

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'LL put it simple, there IS.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Like just showing off her katana instead of using it to fight? Uhhh, do you not see the tons of gifs I posted that show that she doesn't just model her weapons and actually does use them to fight tons of times? You're really scraping the barrel when it comes to Kira. Ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Did she go STRAIGHT into the fight or did she flaunt her swords? Because those gifs could be in the middle of the fight. By the way is it G-ifs or J-ifs?

    ReplyDelete
  75. What does it matter if she flaunts her swords before she fights? SHE FOUGHT ANYWAY.

    ReplyDelete
  76. No, there isn't. I just explained why there isn't, in every possible way. If you disagree, explain WHY you disagree. I explained why it wasn't statutory rape because there are no statutes, and because both the character and the actress are over the age of consent. What part of that makes you think it's still statutory rape?

You shouldn't just throw out logic and stubbornly insist on your own point of view without at least offering SOMETHING that supports it.

You are allowing your own emotions and opinion to cloud the facts. And quite frankly, acting as though it's okay for the producers to show murder, torture, etc etc, everything else the characters go through, but that the real problem is that one girl has romantic relationship with someone that you PERSONALLY don't approve of is the epitome of hypocrisy and incredibly skewed priorities.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Which MAKES her get her butt whooped. If she ever wants to WIN a fight she has to stop modeling her weapons and go straight into it, she's a warrior, so she has to FIGHT like one. Cool weapons are great and all but if you don't use them to fight there's no point, she needs to show Kitsunes' badass-ness to the highest level and she's just not. Her own MOTHER goes straight into a fight, she doesn't wave her weapons around until the enemy gets the upper hand.

    ReplyDelete
  78. When i watch a show i think about the characters, not the actors, i know Marie is over 18 and the same with Ricky. I WOULD'VE liked Lincoln if they had this storyline AFTER she was 18, honestly i like him now that he's not a true Grounder anymore but that will always be tarnished by that relationship. I don't care if the rules don't apply to post-apocalyptic worlds, it's just my opinion and it shouldn't be judged.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Really? You do realize how totally arbitrary 18 is as the age of consent, don't you? I mean the age of consent differs wildly even among human cultures...and,she's a banshee. Do human standards even appy to banshees?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Victoria Ellis30 June 2015 at 11:39

same could be said for Stiles and Derek and how many people want that to happen, and don't forget the twins pretended to be high school goings..... http://bitly.com/1BOiwlp

    ReplyDelete
  81. On the last episode, the season finale ran for an hour and fifteen minutes. In order to save the pack from Kate, Scott and Stiles returned to La Iglesia.

    ReplyDelete

same could be said about Stiles and Derek and oh man how many people want that to happen, and don't forget the twins pretended to be high schooler

    ReplyDelete
  83. She IS half-human so yes.

    ReplyDelete
  84. 'It's just my opinion and it shouldn't be judged."

That's kind of the opposite of how opinions should be treated. I mean, YES, you are totally allowed to have your own opinion and all the more power to you. But to turn around and say that that opinion shouldn't be challenged, or you shouldn't be expected to CONSIDER it and actually think about why you feel that way, or that actually expecting facts to update that opinion, is wrong.

I'm sorry if I'm not putting that quite perfectly, but that's the best way I can think of to say it. You are entitled to your opinion, but if you refuse to allow facts to update that opinion, you're behaving irrationally.

That said, let's look at ACTUAL age of consent laws. The age of consent in 31 US states is 16. It's 17 in 8 more for a total of 39 out of 50 states, and is 18 in only 12 of them. So in THIRTY-NINE out of FIFTY states, the relationship would be legal anyway. Around the world, Canada's age of consent is 16.In Europe, the age of consent is 16 in countries like Switzerland, Norway, Finland, and the Netherlands. The age of consent in countries like Austria, Germany, and Italy is 14. In France, Denmark, and Greece, it's 15. In China, it's 14, Japan it's 13, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador are all 14, and in Australia it's 16 or 17 depending on the area.

So no matter how you look at it, FACTUALLY AND LEGALLY it is not statutory rape, even if you consider it by the character's age.

    ReplyDelete
  85. My cousin in Germany met her current husband at the age of 16 and he was 21 and I believe they got engaged while she was still 17. Currently, they are married and have 3 children. I'll be sure to tell my cousin-in-law that, according to Ivan, he's a criminal...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Scott shouldn't even let Theo into the pack! I don't care if he's an old friend, Scott doesn't know him now. How did Theo even know Scott was a werewolf to begin with?

Also remembering when Stiles was yelling at Scott in the trailer that was released. Stiles tells Scott that he can't trust because Scott trusts everyone. Scott is too trusting, you thought he learn his lesson by now.

By the way thank you for Allison Argent and Derek Hale(:

    ReplyDelete
  87. Europe not the same as US, he's not a crimimal

    ReplyDelete
  88. I thought I'd be the one one thinking this lol

    ReplyDelete
  89. Well as far as I know, she has always flaunted her katana before a fight and held her own pretty damn well against the Oni. Modeling swords before a fight is no where near a weakness.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Watch them all again and te;l me the enemy doesn't get the upper hand while she's modeling her swords. The Berserkers, Kate, and now the new creature.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wait until you see it, they definitely don't keep the Theo mystery hidden for long, you find out EXACTLY what kind of person he is, wolf or no wolf. You don't find out what he's doing in town but you definitely know whether or not to trust him.

    ReplyDelete
  92. You want her to do more hand to hand combat instead of using the Katana? She clearly isn't "modeling" or "flaunting" that weapon, she is using it. She makes it look easy too. This is reaching so far into the sky, I can't see reason.

When you see fights on Arrow/The 100 etc...where weapons are involved, what is the first thing the director focuses on? The weapon, then the action. Every single one of those kids has had their asses kicked, (Alpha wolves included) weapon or not so this big deal you're making is confusing me.

    ReplyDelete
  93. No it's the way she takes way to long to get into the fight, first she has to show PRETTY or badass her weapon and THEN she gets into the fight. Arrow, The 100, etc. They don't take ten hours to get into their fights, they go straight into it.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I loved it. I loved the tone it set, how dark it was and the chills it gave me. Nothing will make me love that little, whiny Liam or the new "I'm too nice to be good" Theo. I hate they bring on new characters and take focus away from the core group. These side characters are good in moderation but not when they get more focus, than say, LYDIA.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Theo, Theo, Theo, wait until you find out in the next episode.

    ReplyDelete
  96. That's a director problem, not a character problem. They want that focus for some reason only they know.

    ReplyDelete
  97. See if it's just that i'll be fine, but they better come out and say it, but for now she's modeling every new weapon she gets so she can lose a fight but SEEM like she's giving it her all.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Are you trying to passive aggressively spoil me because, no.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Thank you! Someone else who sees that flaunting her weapon is not such a big deal, it better prepares her for the fight to come. This is hands down one of the most weirdest reasonings to hate a character I have seen on the internet haha.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Me too! I was so confused for a few minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  101. No of course not, it's more of a tease

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sorry prpleight, the creator of The Whispers just confirmed that DRILL is the one talking to Bennigan, not an opposition to Drill.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm sorry but when there's a fight i want i see a fight, not someone dancing around like they're in the gymnastics. I'm sorry if no one else sees the pattern.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Technically lydia IS the focus, this her flashback.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I guess it would be less believable for her to jump right in and feel comfortable with her weapon right off the bat considering she has been using it for very little time. Its not like with Allison who had been using her bow and arrow all of her life and who we have also seen training. Considering Kira's kitsune abilities i find it ridiculous to see her fighting with a weapon when she could easily use her electrokinesis but i guess that is why most of her fights happen in the rain.
Her "modeling" could also be because the actress doesn't feel confortable with her prop/sword. If that is the case then i think Kira should start fighting hand to hand.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Awesome episode, but all i can say about it is WHAT THE HELL? I knew that we are going to have a big bad, but i never thought it would that big. And that ending are you kidding me, how can this be true and not a nightmare?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Because it's Jeff Davis LOL

    ReplyDelete
  108. A dragon could be something. Or something similar to a dragon.. The moment he woke up and had this rage in his eyes.. maybe he will have a lot of trouble controlling his rage. The way Stilinski pulled his weapon on him.. I don't know, it's freaking me out!

    ReplyDelete
  109. I still can not believe it. This was EPIC!! But it was so creepy. At the end, when the guy with the hole in his head (I don't remember his name, but he didn't have a hole now) asked Lydia what happened and we saw all of them, I had to catch my breath. This better just be a vision and Lydia is going to be BADASS and save all of them!!

That episode was exactly what I needed. Creepy. Emotional. EPIC!! And I can't wait for tonight's episode.. I was yelling at the TV during the episode. Never happened to me before!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Then you should hate Dick Grayson in Blackbirds. Since that's how he fights.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Guy was Dr. Valick I think.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wait nevermind sorry it's Valack.

    ReplyDelete
  113. its statutory rape in your silly country, in Europe it is not, deal with it. Do you have some bad childhood memories? This conversation is just silly...a show about teenagers killing each other, and the problem is two young people and their relationship because one of them is not even a year before being an "adult"...

  114. one voice of reason it this pointless conversation, so many starnge things happened in this episode, so many questions, but everybody talking about two people and their relationship...I really cant see any relationship yet, just one vision of Llydia when Parish was unconscious...Even if they end up together, so what? There is just about 5 years of age gap between them. So?

  115. The 100 may get more of a pass since its set in a post apocalyptic world which is very different from our own .
With most of the population dying out inorder to repopulate the world people getting together sooner intimately even with people above their own age group is a realistic outcome.
I dont like it but , it would totally happen if the world went that way.
In the context of the show its part of the story they are telling.
Which 100 characters are you referring too, I still havent watched some episodes in season 2 so l dont know, its been a while.
Every present day show not so much.

    Thats a whole other story.

  116. Just like any werecreature LOL, they're never relaxed when they first get their powers.

  117. Lincoln and Octavia, who else?

  118. Does he flaunt his weapons or go straight into the fight?

  119. Sorry to disprove your theory about Drill's opposition on The Whispers.

Love the framing device with a badass Lydia who has mastered her powers in Eichen House, while the bulk of the episode flashes back to the time period her interrogator is trying to learn more about.

I also like that banshees are being shown as different than the glowing eyed animal shapeshifters.

  121. Everyone who has weapons does that. It's basically just taking a stance. He's more a come from the shadows kinda guy though.

  122. total whacko, but hey teen wolf has done more crazier than this

  123. So, my next question is...is Drill a multi-level entity? I cannot remember a single time, decades, that a good writer that has set up a mystery that has people buzzing who hands out a spoiler like that and the spoiler is exactly how it sounds at face value.

  124. I like Kira, I think what she needs is to study the *strategy* of fighting. She's still rushing in without thinking. After that first time her cut didn't do any real damage she could have decided to go for weaknesses. For example, come up behind the guy and go for the back of his knees.

Realistically my issues are with the fight choreographer. I understand that it was supposed to look like Scott was out classed and losing badly. I just think there's a way to accomplish that without making these *supernatural creatures* look weak and ineffectual. The bad guy should have to work for the win. The last few fight sequences (this was a real problem for me last season) read to me like Scott et al bounce off the bad guy, get back up and repeat. The bad guys should be better...not Scott et al worse.

  125. What do you mean by "multi-level"? Yeah you're right, i think it's because he doesn't want to leave us hanging. With Drill's powers, the creator said that he's a technopath and telepath, he shut off the electricity on the fence, he manipulated the machine that affected Harper's mom's neurons to wake her up. He said that Drill is powerful but not ALL-powerful.

  126. OH! I get what you're referring to now. It has been a conceit of martial arts films for decades! I haven't seen it much since Indiana Jones shot the guy with the whip. But every time a fighter with a weapon (heck sometimes even pure hand to hand fighters) comes on screen they do a couple of beats of their drills.

  127. Not as long as the fox. "From the shadows" i love that, sounds so badass LOL

  128. Well they're not shapeshifters like werecreatures

  129. She always get into the fight and besides the berserkers (who stomped everyone) and talon claw (tis what I'm calling the wolf that tried to kill Scott in the first episode) she does well and fights well. She just has a stance. Well Dick was trained by Batman so while he (as you phrased it) models his weapons, he doesn't fight fair he is so damn badass (fought Shiva, Deathstroke, beat Jason Todd, and curb stomped the much rougher city of Bludhaven's criminals), and like all Bat pupils loves to dark in a fight. He was after all for a time Batman himself.

  130. She fights well but never wins because she spends so much time on her "stance". He fought Deathstroke? Did he win?

    ReplyDelete
  131. No she loses because she's outmatched. Just like Scott, Malia, and every other wolf against basically everyone they fight.

    ReplyDelete
  132. They win their fights, well mostly Scott.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Right except basically every berserker fight in four. And again everyone but Scott, and Derek were constantly curb stomped in four. And in 3B Kira did the best against the Oni.

  134. Yeah.. but it's kind of different. When Lydia "remembered" and you saw Parish, the fire was burning in his eyes before they turned orangy/red. Maybe, if he is something like a dragon, then rage is a bigger part of him than normal. I don't know..

    ReplyDelete
  135. Oh like he has to learn how to control his anger, more than a werecreature?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Yeah.. Maybe it's not the anger he has to control, but maybe a villainess. I don't know. I think I need more information. Were-creatures usually have to control their transformation and with that the anger and everything. Maybe what Parrish needs to learn is to just not give in to the dark side. Ugh! This is going to drive me crazy until I know for sure.

  137. The it to The Whispers.

  138. Agreed on all points!

Fwiw, I keep in touch with my high school bffs, even though we didn't go to college together and we've lived in different different cities and now in different states. We talk almost daily.
