SpoilerTV Reader Renew/Cancel Predictions 2015/16 - NBC Shows

Hey All,

As you know each year we try to see how good your prediction skills are in determining which shows will be renewed and which ones will be cancelled.

You can see how we did last season here.

So we are running a series of polls asking you what your predictions are for next season.

Existing poll threads:
ABC
CBS
CW
FOX

Today it's the final set of polls with the NBC shows. You can find promos, clips and photos for most of the shows via the NBC Menu at the top of the site.

We have a poll for each of the shows airing on NBC this season. For each show you can choose whether it will be renewed or cancelled.

So vote below and let us know in the comments which shows you hope will be renewed, and which ones you think will be cancelled.

NOTE: All of these polls will remain open until the beginning of August so you have quite a bit of time to get your predictions in.

Wow everything is pretty much cancelled lol... Disagree with Shades of Blue... JLo is a big attraction... NBC won't let that be one and done... Hoping everyone is wrong with Hot & Bothered... I miss Eva!... But everything else new will most likely be cancelled!

  7. Me too. I voted cancel for every new show except for Chicago Med.

  8. With NBC's current shows, The Blacklist, Law and Order: SVU, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire and The Blacklist are 100% sure things to continue on. We can add Chicago Med to the pile as it would have to bomb horrifically to not get picked up for a second season. So that's five drama hours. All Blindspot has to do is perform better than the previous timeslot occupants and it will get the pickup. That makes it 6 hours.

Undateable's live format makes it lean reneweal since it's right up the alley of what NBC wants in live programming. It would have to bomb horrifically to not continue on.

That makes it really complicated for other shows looking for a renewal. If more than one new drama hits, Grimm is likely in its final season. If Heartbreaker surprises, then everything gets thrown into a tailspin.

Most likely to hit of its new slate: Blindspot, Heroes: Reborn, Chicago Med
Least likely to hit of its new slate: People Are Talking

  9. I renewed the Chicago line up, SVU, Blindspot, Game of Silence, Superstore, Crowded, Blacklist, Laura, Undateble, Hot and Bothered and Heroes.
    Cancelled the rest.

  10. Wouldn't 1 hour of Undateable live every week be too demanding on the cast and production? Seems too much to me.

  11. The cast is used to doing improv shows, so I think that concern would be more on production. It might be too complicated and it would probably rely more on guest stars if that was the case.

  12. I'm really unsure about Blindspot. I think of the name and it immediately slips to cancelation, but I also thing it my get renewed, but with low-ish ratings, like 1.4, 1.3

  13. wel i think this makes absolutelly no sense, if we didnt see any of the shows how can we vote for one or the other? If i remenber right no one believed Empire and look were that is now. Also in NBC case, there is a thing called Sony tv and Universal tv packages, the pick up shows and renew can depend a lot in that.

  14. The rope is already around their necks.

  15. Why is A.D. here? It hasn't been renewed yet.

I believe it's a precaution just in-case it is renewed. If cancelled then the result of the A.D. poll will just be left invalid.

It's meant to be based purely on first opinions from trailers/early information.

  19. So we assume it has already been renewed?

Just to make the polling easier yeah. Otherwise their'd be some late polls and it would end up being a bit more confusing to handle.

  21. The only series that I watched on NBC is Grimm and I think that the show can get renewed for a 6 season. I mean season 4 started great with good ratings for a show that airs on Friday and I think that the reason why the ratings started dropping was because NBC change the schedule since the ratings started to change on episode 13 "bad luck" and that episode aired when NBC made the change in the schedule, but I guess we will know the answer to that question when season 5 airs.

  22. I would consider it as a summer series.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Christopher DeBono21 May 2015 at 04:56

I believe we don't consider it a summer series because most of its episodes aired before the Summer season really begins. (7 out of 9 so far have aired).

  24. Returning shows
-A.D.: If not cancelled already, then definitely cancelled next season.
    -Chicago Fire: Renewed
    -Chicago PD: Renewed
-Grimm: Might this be its final season? Ratings have fallen, but NBC owns this. I think a sixth season is possible. Renewed
-Law and Order: SVU: At this point I wonder if it's going to equal or surpass the motership. Renewed
    -The Blacklist: Renewed
-The Mysteries of Laura: Ratings won't get any better and a partial order seems to indicate that NBC was more or less forced to renew this show. Cancelled
-The Night Shift: If this goes back to summer, I can see it getting renewed. Renewed
-Undateable: I can't see this performing well on Fridays when it was already a mild performer on Tuesday. Cancelled

    New shows

-Blindspot: There's a lot of pressure on this show to deliver, but I think it can manage. The Voice is falling, but I am positive Blindspot can do better than State of Affairs and The Night Shift. Renewed
    -Chicago Med: Renewed
    -Coach: Cancelled
    -Crowded: Cancelled
    -Emerald City: Cancelled
-Game of Silence: It has good reviews, but if it's really a cable-like drama it won't have a shot at NBC. Cancelled
-Hearbreaker: I can't see this performing much better than The Night Shift. Cancelled
-Heroes Reborn: Can this even be renewed? If so, I guess it will be renewed.
    -Hot and Bothered: Cancelled
    -People are Talking: Cancelled
-Shades of Blue: I can see this getting the Wednesday 8 pm slot when Laura finsishes its season. Either way, it will be cancelled.
    -Superstore: Cancelled
-The Player: A post-Blacklist spot didn't help Allegiance and likely won't help The Player. Cancelled
-You, Me and The End of the World: Cancelled

Personally, I'll be rooting for Blindspot and possibly The Player and Game of Silence.

  25. Gave season 5 grimm A Try.Before You Stop Watching it. I gave buffy that after Gilles left. It just fantasy and stop thinking of the show as real. Want real watch the ghost Hunters. You will find someone you like and stop complaining about the show. If you can deal with fantasy show what the live real shows
