  1. Oh God at the Terminator trailer. This is going to be crazy.
It still amazes me how different Jai Courtney looks in all of his roles when all I can see is Varro.
    I cannot wait.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Damn!! Why do you have to remind me of Varro? Why make me tear up? Y U do dis?

  3. So John is actually assimilated. This is a fantastic twist, just sad that they revealed it in a trailer

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm sorry! I loved him too. Damn Numerius! I've been rewatching Spartacus, hence my Gannicus avi.

    ReplyDelete
  5. This movie looks pretty damn awful. Hopefully it bombs but I have a feeling it will do well no matter how terrible it is because, "Look! Khaleesi is in this!".

    ReplyDelete
  6. Why would you hope it bombs just because you don't like it? If it's not for you, why hope anything at all?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Because they've run the franchise into the ground more than enough. The last two were trash, this looks like trash, and as long as people keep paying to see it they'll keep making trash.

These movies don't even have the spectacle aspect of the old ones or even movies like (ugh)Transformers.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Fair enough. I haven't watched the last one because I just really didn't want to but I love Jai Courtney so I'm going to try this one.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I really love the Terminator franchise and it's been a constant disappointment since the show was cancelled. Sorry if I came off like a jerk before.

    ReplyDelete
  10. So John was taken over by Skynet and is like the bad guy?

Yeah... I think I'm just gonna stick to my canon being Terminator-T2-T:TSCC and pretend the rest are just random fanfic-y standalones...

    ReplyDelete
  11. That they didn't keep it hush hush (even if there was a rumor earlier) makes me think it's will be more hokey than twisty...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Don't apologize, I just wondered if there was something specific that you hated about it.
A lot of people really don't like remakes.

    ReplyDelete
  13. very good idea.the last trailer shows plot is stupid. They are just throwing things together from first 2 films In this reboot.

Unlike star trek and X-Men days of future past you can't really connect past ones to this film.

    ReplyDelete
  14. T:TSCC ahh i miss that show SO much

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well to be fair I do think they are trying to pull something like Star Trek and DoFP where the reset of events is going to be explained in canon. However I don't thin it will a successful endeavor like ST and DoFP were.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That show was the best thing after T2.

    ReplyDelete
  17. the problem is their doesn't seem to be any explanation why 1984 is so different after kyle reece arrives in past. And it seems like things are different in future with what happens to john connor from offset.

This film is just coming off as mess.

    ReplyDelete
  18. your right about that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. For one we haven't seen the movie yet so we don't really know what exactly happens yet. It may make some kind of sense in context and once we have all the other details.

But what I can say with respect to you argument there was a cut from a scene in one of the other teasers, where it shows Old!Arnie taking care of what seems to be Young!Sarah.

The most likely theory I've heard is that Old!Arnie Terminator goes further back into the past, saves Young!Sarah and raises her, which is why things are different when Reese gets sent back in this version.

    ReplyDelete
  20. the problem is from reported details there is no real explanation for older arnold terminator being sent back In time and also reprotly something happens to john before kyle is sent back.

    ReplyDelete
  21. But in the end all this is still speculation and rumors really.
Look I'm not saying this won't be a convoluted mess, that won't make sense.
My argument is we don't actually know yet.

It's currently not looking great, I have lowered my expectations to the gutter (and they were never that high to begin with). But I do know that as of now I don't have all the details so I'm not going to make a preconceived judgement that it won't make sense just yet.

My feeling is that this movie is actually going to try and connect everything. I just think they're gonna do it badly.

Wait and see is my approach here...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh now they're revealing the twist in the poster? That's just dumb.... there's gotta be a catch here somewhere...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I have no e pectations at all based on the fact that the last two films were not worth watching.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I can't argue with that. And I'm more inclined to watch it on DVD too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oy! at Emilia's photoshop. I mean she's super tiny already! Like... why?!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, probably to make her look more like Linda Hamilton (she does look quite a bit like her in T1)

    ReplyDelete
  27. T2 > T1 > T:SCC > T3 > Salvation > Salvation-the series

    ReplyDelete
  28. T3 not worth watching? I liked it quite a lot

as for Salvation, it wasn't good by any means but not bad either

    ReplyDelete
  29. It's all canon thanks to the time travel:

The timline from T1-T4 has been erased now, the SCC canon pretty much didn't happen and now we're dealing with a whole new potential future while still having Kyle Reese from the original timeline

    ReplyDelete
  30. The show was good but by no means a masterpiece either. However I don't see how T4 really was such a dissapointment?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I believe the official thing i he raised Sarah.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I did kinda like T:TSCC a weeeeee bit more than T1. Or at least they're on the same level for me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They've photoshoped her waist to look impossibly tiny, when she's already impossibly tiny

    ReplyDelete
  34. You missed my point. I don't care if it can make sense. I'm talking about which installments I'm willing to take seriously. And besides those 3 I don't care about the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nope. T3 was awful IMO, and Salvation was more pretentious than it had the right to be.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I liked SCC, it did as good as it could for a Terminator installment without Schwarzenegger. Dillahunt did a good job as Cromartie but the main reason I put SCC below T1 was because of Johns rather annoying attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You gotta decide for yourself what you consider canon then but ultimately I'll accept whatever they throw at me as long as its okay.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It was a dumb 2003 action flick with a fair share of comedy thrown into it (that scene with the T800 putting on these pink shades still cracks me up).

Salvation was indeed rather gritty and elevated itself from the heavy sci-fi tone the original movies had but overall it was an okay movie

    ReplyDelete
  39. Derek and Cameron made up for a lot of John's annoying-ness for me. And frankly he did get better as time went by.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Agree to disagree. From my perspective they were horrible money grab installments that coasted on the Terminator name but offered nothing constructive to the world or the mythology.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Usually I'm the same but with T3 and Salvation in the mix they've fucked up way to much for me to continue giving them the leeway.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sorry James Cameron but turning John Connor into a bad guy is NOT a great twist, it's the most HORRENDOUS thing to ever happen to this franchise.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You are a "fanboy" with millions of dollars to gain at stake if the movie does well...so not the most bias person in the world...
    Anyway... we'll see...

    ReplyDelete
  44. duh-doy and yet the movie looks better and better to me with each spot

    It'll certainly be a fantastic popcorn-flick

    ReplyDelete
  45. The most I can hope it to be, is that it's to the Terminator franchise what Lost World turned out to be for the Jurassic Park franchise. But nothing I've seen makes me "certain" it will.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The great movie ever although Arnold is getting too old but he is still rocks.

Sad that steaming pile Jurassic World is still pulling in the people,. I saw Genisys over the weekend and REALLY liked it. It was far better than I thought it was going to be & I was surprised that it was also funny, didn't expect that & it really made the movie for me.
