    Okay this is way too convenient! But I think it must be tough to think about never being able to have children? No matter how old you are never feeling that joy should be quite the torment. But 1 thing I'm sure Elena won't take that cure. Lets see how they intend to play this out.


    BTW why did you label this as The Vampire Diaries instead of Vampire Diaries? Was searching for the pics under the tag VD tag and couldn't find it.

    Dude the show is called THE Vampire Diaries. Always has been. If someone references it w/o the "The" that's b/c they want to shorten it, but the "THE" was always the title. That's probably why you were having trouble under VD. It's always been TVD.

    No I meant on the site. They changed the Tag on the site. Click on the tag under title and you'll go to a site with only this news. While when you click on that Vampire Diaries Tag under the CW there are all the other news.
    I know the show was always TVD.

    Agree - I think back at how much Rebekah wanted to be human, have children and grow old and after 6 mths (or so) of watching baby "Hope" she seemed to be cured of the notion. May be Elena needs to babysit baby "Duke" or whatever Jo/Alaric are going to name their baby for a while to get over her motherly instincts. Don't get me wrong motherhood is great but 1 baby per vampire show is enough.

    Hey Shannon - hope you are going well. So this is the way I see things, this show needs to put to rest the Elena becoming human, having a career, marriage, children growing old etc...story line vs staying a vampire and having an eternal life with Damon, before this show can officially end. There was a reason Elena had that crazy Markos dream in S5 about having a normal human life. I prefer Elena as a vampire. She is the center of this supernatural world and for her to turn back into a ordinary human would be a waste of a good story line, but I think the writers need to put this "human" Elena question to rest.


    I wrote this crazy mini story a very long time ago and sent it to the "CW" about Damon / Elena possible raising a baby on their own.


    So, what if Jo/ Alaric name Damon/Elena guardian of their child then something supernatural happens and they both die leaving Elena/Damon to raise baby "Duke or Josette"? Would this solve the Elena wanting to be a mother story? She can still have a career as a Dr., Get Married to Damon and Be a Mother - she just would not ever get old. Problem solved.


    And, I see Lily getting the cure and living a human life with her great, great etc...grand daughter Sara.

    I think this is going to happen: Elena finds out about Jo's pregnancy and she talks to Damon about the fact that she will never have kids as a vampire and Damon will decide to give her the cure because he wants her to be happy and have the life she wants even if it's not with him. And because he is being selfless again, like he was when he gave her the neckless, it will trigger something, her memorys come back and she refuses the cure again.

    Hmmm... I think this plot always was about Elena. I mean, this whole show actually IS about her.
    Anyway, I didn't like they bring this cure again, but I'm not worry because I trust the theory that she will reject a human life and Lily will take it. Really hope that happens.

    Wow, that makes sense!
    I was wondering how the hell she will have her memories back and I hope it will be before the end of the season. But I don't know... We have spoilers of 6x20 with Damon and Elena on the Gilbert's porch, he's giving something to her and she's crying... This and the episode tilte (I'd Leave My Happy Home For You) made me think he will try to convince her to take the cure and she will refuse it because she wants to be with him forever and there's only one cure (like on season 4 when she wanted him to be human with her). I would love if she makes this decision still without all the memories. Like she started dating him again, and slept together, and fall in love and all those romantic stuff again.
    But, about Damon being selfless again, like he was with the necklace, I think that would be a very good moment to Elena realize that she loves him, and to say it to him for the first time since he came back. So, we would need something else to trigger something in her brain and bring her memories back. I wonder what.
    And (it's kind of silly, but...) I imagine she saying to him "We stand there and kissed in the rain" (to answer the question she made him on 6x07 and he lied) when she finally remembers. One can dream.

    It's not really as cheesy as kissing one's girlfriend on top of a freaking ferris wheel or watching a meteor shower...C'mon TVD done worse before.
    Besides it actually makes sense a bit, though I always thought if anything's gonna trigger anything, it's gonna be that necklace.

    I've never seen Damon and Elena look so sad/subdued. They look like they just lost a puppy. Even their makeup is subdued, very flat, no color except a little on their lips. This can't be good.

    I could say the same for anyone who thinks that still exists these days. It's all about opinion, I guess.
    But, do you really believe that Elena will jump to Stefan again? Because this is the only way for the triangle continue to exist. The writers described the main couples precisely this season. Delena and Steroline. Anyone who doesn't see that is fooling themselves.

    But wouldn't it be kinda lame to give the cure to a new character? She will be on the show for what, 7 episodes by the season finale? It won't have as much of an impact. Even curing Katherine was kind of a disappointing storyline at the end of the day. I bet it will be a main character this time, as in Stefan, Elena, Damon or Caroline.

    It's not lame if they want keep Lily on the show, and I have the feeling they do. After Liz's death, Lily can be the knew maternal figure on the show. Even if Lily decides to leave Mystic Falls, it's totally possible Damon and Elena give the cure to her, so she won't be a ripper wherever she goes.

    Ok, let's go by parts, as Stefan the Ripper would say. :)

    1-Yes, it would take time. And TVD is going to a season 7 with very bad numbers. Even the fans who still loves the show (like me) is asking for an end. We are all tired, inclunding the actors. Honestly, I don't see the show getting more than 2 seasons (if you are very optimist). So, it would take a time that TVD doesn't have to undo Delena and steroline, and redo stelena.

    2-Stelena was "revisited" on season 5 a lot of times, with the travelers plot.

    3-Don't believe Elena will take the cure for all the reasons I already explained on other comment.

    4-For Elena-without-memories is not obvious stay with Damon forever. While, she doesn't remember their whole story, it's pretty natural that she rethinks her life as a vampire, specially with a cure around.

    5-"deep down that's not who she is" and "people miss the old Elena": it's an opinion totally partial. Who usually miss the old Elena are people who doesn't agree with the decisions she made since became a vampire. (Generally, they are people who stills expects she will get back together with Stefan - who is a friend like Matt to her right now).

    6-When Stelena was "the couple", Elena never had dated Damon. Now, she did. She dated both brothers and made a choice that was affirmed over and over again. She moved on from Stefan, he moved on from her. It's over.


    They started steroline as a couple while Elena was falling love with Damon again. So, yes, I don't think there's still a triangle here. :)

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Now here are mine. I don't think Elena will ever become human again (she's come to terms with her vampirism), or that Delena is reaching a dead end (why?). I do agree it's likely Elena won't end up with either Damon or Stefan by the end of the series. I don't think she'll necessarily find a new love, but I do think she'll move on, to learn to be her own woman. Also, sorry but I'm not one of those fans who think Delena is a snooze fest. I have found them fascinating together since way before they became a couple, and my fascination shows no signs of ending. What can I say? IMO their story is not over, even if they're not endgame. I want to see that story through to its end.

    Well, I expect that Lily gets the cure because it seems to be the only way to "tame" her, it's the most logical move... On the other hand I've read a discussion where most of the people think that it's too obvious, especially for a finale and that they will once again surprise us and perhaps this time give the cure to its original recipient, Damon. And while I don't believe it, then ever since I've read the theory, I kinda wish it was true - Damon becoming human would have hell of an impact and would be quite enjoyable to watch :)


    Elena would be terribly predictable and kind of a lame choice, but if this is their way to deal with all the issues with Nina, Elena not being an interesting character anymore and there being almost nowhere left to go for delena, then... meh, I can take it. It wouldn't make me happy but it would make me less mad than watching Elena getting progressively dumber for another season, or delena breaking up and then getting back together for the millionth time...

    Delena is so amazing in these photos - I just can't see Elena taking the cure or if she does staying human for very long (remember this is TVD - they always find ways of breaking there own rules).... I believe it would be very boring if Elena became human and left the supernatural world behind to focus on her career, be a wife & mother. Look how Ric's character turned out, granted he is not one of the leading characters and I am glad he found love, and happiness but his days of exciting vampire hunter appear to be over. It is nice they are adding this human layer to the show through Ric/Jo's relationship but I think we are good. Having the main character become human again and leave the supernatural world behind does not appeal to me in the least.

    Yea it would not suprise me either. Everytime there was a "someone is going to die"-spoiler my first guess was always Tyler (since season 3) so I never expected him to survive til the end anyway. But I doubt he is going to die because of Carolines coin toss game .. I think they are going kill him off in the season finale. Although ..him dying because of Caroline would make a very interesting storyline. But would Caroline ever recover from that? I don't want her to be sad forever..

    I can't see Elena taking the cure either. I just don't see a good storyline coming out of this. And turning her into a human again just so Damon can finally be sure she loves him even as a human wouldn't be enough to make in interesting. People who believe in Delena know Elena would still love Damon if she was human again and people who don't believe in Delena are never going to believe in them anyway.

    I take Elena at her word when she says that she will always find her way back to Damon vampire or not, so Elena taking the cure and becoming human would not really change much as Delena is concerned and would detract from Elena's character development as a vampire. Elena taking the cure I just do not believe would have the shock and awe factor TVD strives for.
