  4. so they went on really fancy dates, awesome, i also find it funny that no one brings up the fact that the Salvatores are of Italian descent LOL

  5. Thursday cannot come soon enough ... bring it on.

  6. Aww they're so cute.

  7. I can't even see the video. Someone must have uploaded or embedded it in the wrong format.

  8. I'm not a fan of this amnesia plotline for Delena, but I have to admit this was quite charming. Throwing popcorn at hipsters and still acting like 12 year olds? Credit where credit's due.

But going on the exact same date when your SO can't remember it? How unreal would that be? Oh, Damon, why you always so silly?

  9. I'm so sick of these people hate on the couple and on the series. God, just stop watching or at least stop reading posts about it! There's so many shows out there, find one and be happy.

  10. F*Ker!! Again I can't see it!!! Ughhh!

  11. OK, I found a way to see the video. Turned out it was just an incompatibility issue with my tablet. I think it's great that Elena is making Damon hold off. It's sort of like an old-school courtship. Too bad she obviously got another daylight ring off-screen. I don't know why that bothers me, it just does.

I'm going to say this once. I think Delena is an unhealthy relationship and it shouldn't continue for very much longer, but clearly shippers are petitioning way too much so I think all fans need to just chill out and watch, or simply not watch. I am honestly intrigued by how all of this is going down. Whether or not Elena changes her mind and speeds things up with Damon on account of Liz's impending death, I like seeing the girl take charge of this relationship for once. She's not altering her life or her personality anymore for Damon, which might have something to do with the fact that she warned herself about that all-consuming love before she got herself compelled. Since Damon's been gone, Elena's been starting to really kick ass. Case in point, the fire stunt that made Kai call HER crazy. I choose to focus on the individual characters as they evolve. Remember: Relationships are fleeting in this genre.

  13. I have nothing against the couple and i love the series(As everyone on this site knows) but how many season is needed before we understand the depth of LOVE between this epic couple? It was lovely in the 3rd season,Tolerable in the 4rth season,Irritating in the 5th season & now just disgusting!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I will never get why people spend time with something they think is disgusting.
How many seasons is needed before people stop finding reasons to criticize everything about the series? You know, we can just watch the episodes and find something more interesting to do in our free time than to claim how bad the series is.

  15. People can post whatever they like, short of personal attacks.

  16. I'm quite relieved that TVD has decided to kill the relationship angst with these two for awhile. After putting up with it for 2/3 of last season and an extra block of it this season, enough already. I'm grateful for the calm. However, I'm still convinced that Bonnie is going to throw a wrench into this relationship when she gets back. That might actually be interesting though.

  17. Discuss is good. Hate is not.

And do you know that Julie and Caroline won't read this, right?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, and people can be totally nonsense too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. These two are either very toxic and annoying or just plain cheesy and dull, like right now. Ugh, go away already.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If julie can re-tweet EW articles of her shows,i'm not too far off to hope she would someday direct her eyes towards this site!At least i can wish!
And trust me when i say this,i am way past hating this couple,i'm DONE with them,or so i keep thinking until the next Delena scoop comes up.Sorry if i've offended you personally, that was not my intention at all.I hope you at least get that.Peace out.

  21. I suggest you practice what you preach and don't read these comments if they make you so sick and that only. I still watch the show because I've been watching it from the start and despite my dislike for things like Delena and the mistreatment of other characters, there are still characters and things I care about. But after watching the show spiral down for almost three years now is is too much for some loyal viewers. They're entitled to their opinion and dislike of the show, because it's been a long ride and for a lot of fans things haven't gotten better in years. To top it off, the writers engaged in a blatant display of fan pandering to "honor" a small part of the show's viewers, so they had it coming. Then there's more pandering and repetitive stuff for Delena and bad storylines. People are mad and frustrated for a number of reasons, and they have the right to show it. I think this season is definitely better than season 5, but after some good episodes they're back at crapping on everything again. So bottom line is I still care about Stefan, Bonnie and other characters. There's still some good stuff going on in the show. But the bad still outweighs the good, and I'll continue to voice my dislike for it, whether Julie and co. read it or not. It's nice to see that you're not the only one and maybe things will change.

  22. You know that recent kiss in the rain Delena had? That happened because Delena fans twitter spammed about it and they decided to do it for the fans, yet in a recent interview they claimed they don't listen to twitter.

The relationship became extremely toxic and never stopped, but it's treated like an epic love story. These two have broken up, and then literally tried to get back with each other in the next episode over and over again. Elena had a complete personality shift when she started seeing Damon. I can say without a doubt that she is the least favorite character on the show, and her popularity dropped because of her toxic relationship with Damon.

The Delena fandom has shrunk considerably but it's still treated like the most popular one on the show, and the writers show favoritism all the time. A lot of people are getting tired of this show's blatant support of extremely unhealthy relationships and mistreatment of their characters. Stefan has been treated like their personal punching bag since season three.

Elena hooked up with Damon the day after they broke up, and Stefan hasn't been allowed to move on for almost three seasons. They kept him single to keep him pining over a woman who stabbed him in the back. They even went so far to make him supportive of the relationship.

Delena had that post breakup talk several times last year, and it was the same talk every single time, and they usually had the longest scenes. That could have been used on other characters.

I'm sorry, but people have a really good reason to be so frustrated about them, and we're always going to express that frustration. They continuously treat other characters and relationships on this show like garbage in order to give as much time and effort as possible to one of the most unhealthy relationships on modern television.

Whether you like it or not doesn't really matter.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So focus on what you like: Stefan, Bonnie and others characters.

    ReplyDelete
  24. And I hope you at least feel fine with your pov.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm sorry, but this is not a ship war. This Delena versus Stelena thing is so season 3...
If we are going into this, what can we say about all those forced stelena moments in season 5? Gosh, they did an entire episode of dreams with human Stefan and Elena. They put Katherine in Elena's body, so she could flirt with Stefan again.
And don't make me to write the whole list of fanservice here.

Anyway, nothing justified people acting like they are 12 and being revolted with every single spoiler about delena. I wonder if some of these people would find it so ofensive if it was about stelena...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Honestly, yeah they'd find it offensive if it was about Stelena. That's how it works. Besides that, I'm not even a Stelena shipper, I just can't stand how the show has become so focused on Delena that other characters are pushed aside to give them more scenes that ultimately end up being boring.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ok, I'm not going to make that list of scenes to prove the obvious.

It's clear how season 5 was focused on stelena (even they were not together anymore), besides some people keep saying it was about delena.
Anyway, whatever helps you sleep at night, buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. You think I'm losing sleep over this? Get over yourself, you know nothing about me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm sorry I don't want to offend you with this so don't take it personally but I'm soooooo tired of people calling the Delena Rain Kiss a fanservice over and over again.
YES .. it WAS fanservice. No one can deny that because it was obvious .. but SO WHAT? It didn't change the plot. So what's wrong with giving the Delena fans a little gift to acknowledge their support over the years? Usually I'm not a fan of fanservice as well and if they would have changed the plot just so Delena can have a rain kiss i wouldn't like it either but they didn't. It was just a sweet memory.. nothing more. And I don't see what's so wrong about that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That probably sounds a little cheesy but I really wish there would be more people like you! I ship Delena. I always have and I probably always will. But i still accept if someone doesn't like them. I get their points and I even like to discuss (on an adult level) but I'm freaking tired of people going on and on about how much they hate Delena and how toxic they are after every single Delena-News

    ReplyDelete
  31. It's very simple. They're showing favoritism to Delena at the expense of every other character. Not even the actors themselves, Nina and Ian, give a shit about Delena anymore. Ian himself has been trying to make Bamon happen, and he even admitted aloud that it probably won't because the producers won't let it happen.

Julie Plec has been allowing her own interests to guide this show for years. Even when Delena became extremely toxic, they kept it going. They had to do a massive personality shift and make Elena one of the least liked characters on the show to make it happen.

That's a huge conflict of interest. Anything that goes against Delena on this show is going to get shut down. Not for the story. Not for character development. For favoritism. The really annoying thing is that Delena shippers have been getting their way for so long, that any attempt to change Delena in any way that doesn't keep their relationship going is met with a huge backlash of hatred.

If you can't see how big of a problem that is, then we have nothing more to discuss, because you're being intentionally naive.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow, it's just an adage, man. Calm down.

    ReplyDelete
  33. "a proverb or short statement expressing a general truth" Calling it an adage doesn't change the meaning behind it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. yeah he is isn't he? LOL sometimes i forget they were actually a happy couple before all this business with the prison world and amnesia happened which meant they went on dates and had fun and overall just happy, and that sounds like a fun date

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, my God... Do you really think I'm worry about how you or anyone sleep?
It was NOT literally, of course. Come on, just calm down.
The meaning was something like: I'm not going to discuss that point with you anymore.
And do you know why? Because is pointless, just like this new discussion. Follow your advice and get over.

  36. By the way, I'm laughing right now...
Gosh, the things we see on the internet...

    ReplyDelete
  37. I can’t argue about the fact that they’re showing favoritism to Delena. That’s true but it’s also a fact that they are the main couple of the series. Sure, it started with Stelena but it was always the plan that it amounts to Delena. And no matter how many Delena-Haters are out there Delena still has the biggest (and I have to admit.. also loudest) fanbase. So why shouldn’t they embrace it? It’s not JUST in Julies interest to keep Delena going.

And I don’t think Nina and Ian don’t give a shit about Delena anymore. Ian said “thumbs up” to Damon and Elena finally getting some happiness. And when he talked about Elena’s memory loss he said that allowing Elena to find Damon again is a very interesting journey for him. Nobody can be 100% sure what the actors think about the characters because we can’t read their minds but I get the feeling that Delena-Haters pick out only the negative stuff someone says about them and keep repeating it again and again everytime they get in an argument.

I even agree that Elena changed but guess what.. people change! That’s totally normal. I’m not the same person as I was a few years ago either. Experiences/Love/other people change people. Elena grew up in the last couple of seasons and on top of that she died and became a vampire. If that doesn’t change someone I don’t know what will. And there are still people out there who love or at least like Elena. In my opinion she even changed for the better. She became much more life-loving and positiv. Since she admitted her feelings for Damon she seems happier and being with a person who makes you happy can’t be that wrong.

Damon and Elena may not have the most healthy relationship and I probably wouldn’t support a relationship like this in real life but you
have to keep in mind that this is a TV Show. It’s a completely fictional world
where vampires and other supernatural stuff exists. So of course the characters in this world have other morals values than people in real life.

And don’t call me intentionally naive just because I have my own opinion. I get your points but I don't have to feel or think the same way you do! In an other comment you told someone they know nothing about you.. well, you know nothing about me either! I tried not to take this to a personal level and I would appreciate it if you would do the same.

  38. After watching the sneak peak above and reading all the posts about Stelena/Delena, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah, the following is what comes to my mind. People are passionate about their feelings for TVD, whether those feelings are positive or negative. People interpret the show from their own pov and express their views honestly. That's what critics do, no matter how objective they claim to be. Some people get a little hot under the collar - there's that passion I mentioned above. What I mean to say is that a show which is talked about, dissected, argued over, even negatively criticized to the point where some people want to tear their hair out in frustration, is a show which has engaged our imagination, for better or worse. Otherwise, why would we waste our time and energy on it? I think these past five and a half seasons have had some exciting home runs as well as some heartbreaking strike outs. But I sure have enjoyed watching the game and I will continue to do so until the (bitter?) end!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I apologize for the personal attack, and you have no idea how difficult it is for me to say that.

But I have been watching a show for years that has treated Damon and Elena like some kind of epic love story. I realize it's just a TV show, but I've dedicated hundreds of hours of my limited life span to a show that promotes one of the unhealthiest relationships I've ever seen.

And Delena is only popular because it's popular with Julie Plec. She had to pretty much rewrite one of her characters in order to make Damon and Elena work. And the change you went through happened over years, the change Elena went through happened over weeks. They're not the same thing. That's the writers trying to drastically change a character in order to force Delena to fit.

Delena is the biggest ship on the show, but it's not very popular with people who don't ship them. The number of people who have a problem with Delena far outnumber the people who actually ship them.

Elena is one of the least popular characters on the show, and she's the main character. They've essentially showed blatant favoritism to a couple who is only liked by a comparatively small part of the entire fandom.

They keep doing it, and they just keep finding more and more contrived ways to keep them together. But every single time I go to the TVD tag, only Delena shippers give a damn about them anymore. Everyone else is tired of other characters losing screen time to show the same drama between Delena over and over again.

ANY other show would have shifted focus by now, but this one remains almost entirely focused on two characters. It took them almost three seasons even to begin to let Stefan move on from Elena, while she spent that entire time with Damon perfectly happy.

This doesn't become less irritating just because they're the main characters. There are much more interesting story lines to focus on right now, yet Delena still gets the most attention for scenes that are mostly pointless, and only serve as fanservice for Delena fans.

This is a huge issue, and it's annoying how much the writers are listening to only one small part of their fandom and ignoring the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well if you don't want to discuss it anymore, just say that next time. Don't attempt to use a word that you think means one thing when it means something else. There's really no point to it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jesus Christ... Ok, I'll explain again.
That was an adage. It has a meaning and I thought that was clear enough.
How could I imagine you would read it literally?
What can I do if you don't know what it means? There's nothing wrong on that line, man. Believe me, most of people would understand it just fine.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I always wished the had shown us more of that summer - not so much for the Delena romance scenes, as for the hilarity of the every day reality of Elena, Damon and JEREMY living together. Like, how many arguments were there over who's going to take out the garbage?
