  1. I appreciated the many shots of shirtless Jake. A+ there, Scandal writers. Poor Liv.

And was the "Vermont" house Meredith and Derek's?

  2. WTF !!! OMG !!! Where am I? WoW !!!

  3. I didn't like the episode at all, saw it from the beginning that the guy was there to substract information from Liv. I miss my old scandal with jaw dropping !

  4. Vermont was a welcomed surprise. Loved it. Olivia bad ass and she knows the President of the United States will find her!! Great episodes.

  5. Agree with every word you just said. I'm now watching Parenthood to cheer myself up.

  6. Agreed. Scandal used to surprise me but this season has been so predictable.

  7. It lived up to my wildest expectations. Good Lord, I was grasping for breath at the air.

  8. HOLY SHIT, now THAT was awesome! Shonda wasn't kidding, this was the best episode from her, from any show of her's, in a LONG ass time.

Those first five minutes had me on the edge of my seat and I was literally holding my breath. Holy hell, what a rollercoaster that was! From seeing Olivia being taken away from her apartment to Jake running down to the streets trying to catch her kidnappers and Olivia only to find out that it was all planned and no one was in that car. Just heart stopping. And I KNEW Ian was the mastermind all along when I saw his eyes through his mask when he was taking Olivia away and then when we saw him again in the cell with Olivia! Poor Olivia. Girl, can't catch a break.

Kerry Washington has GOT to have another Emmy nomination for this episode. I can feel it in my bones. That scene where she was in the ambulance with her kidnappers and she was stuttering to try and make her point and said "I only negotiate with people with the power to say yes or no"? And then when she broke down in the bathroom after realizing that her only way to escape was sealed off? Freaking fantastic acting! I thought Kerry couldn't surprise me anymore. Boy, was I wrong!

And woah at the end where the cell was just a trick and was actually a set. Even though I kinda saw it coming, it still freaking worked. Can't freaking wait to see what Ian's endgame is. Scandal is finally back to being one of my favorites!

  12. Your not one to be easily convinced then because I don't think it was predictable at all and didn't think that guy was involved... It was a great Olivia centre episode!

  13. That cliche with the hostage being the boss is so outdated that i saw it the moment we saw him in the episode. The episode was ok at best.

  14. I just can't even. So many things happened in there!
Love every part of it! Especially that Vermont one... (wink wink)
And the end as always, blew my mind I mean I was literally screaming "You're freeeeeeee" and then no. It was all a trap.
    Better luck next time Liv!

Sigh, the cellmate is always the mastermind.

It was a well acted episode, but it contained every cliche possible.

  16. This was one of the most different and also amazing episode that Scandal ever had.
Kerry Washington is, beyond doubt, WONDERFUL.

  17. Very predictable. Olivia should have seen it coming too.

  18. Agree with you such a predictable episode, from the first scene a figured he was in on it and not a prisoner. not a good episode:(

  19. Outstanding episode, for Kerry's acting alone great Olivia centric episode, I felt really bad for her neighbor that was so foul what they did, Ian and his crew don't know hurt yet, cause a world of hurt is coming, I loved that Olivia rose up showed the fight she has in her, her dreams not so bad either!!

  21. You know what they probably didn't even watch the episode, some people just like to spread negativity, they're also known as trolls:)

  22. this episode was nuts ! unlike most people I didn't find it predictible...

  23. Kerry Washington deserves and Emmy nomination for this episode. I thought it was by far her best work on the show ever.

  24. - Jake running through the streets with nothing but his boxers? Unnecessary but welcome objectification.
    - We need more of this badass Olivia. I hope when she comes back, she puts herself first. I'm so sick of this love triangle.
    - It was nice to see Tom again. Wish they would have used the character more in the past.

  25. So apparently you die as a doctor on Grey's Anatomy and come back as a kidnapper only to be shot again but this time in the head lmao. Man that guy can't get a break lol

  26. That was a very good episode and it was a change to see Olivia Pope in a different situation. Great acting from Kerry Washington. I suspected the prisoner was the kidnapper (probably a sign that I watch too much TV!), but it didn't matter. It was still great.

  27. Am I the only one who got a huge Lost vibe from this episode?
Awesome episode, except we somehow got the two biggest clichés from that type of storyline : the cellmate gets killed from the hero's fault or the cellmate is actually the Big Bad.

  28. So Jake runs all of the way down the stairs and halfway down the street in his boxers and NO garbage falls out of the bag ... not buying it but Lord do I want to.

  29. So that's where he is from lol I knew he looked familiar
