ETonline has exclusively learned that Arrow will be reuniting members of Task Force X, also known as the Suicide Squad, in the 17th episode of the season in an hour appropriately titled “Suicidal Tendencies.”
A.R.G.U.S. head Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) returns in this episode, along with fan favorites Deadshot (Michael Rowe) and Cupid (Amy Gumenick), who is the newest member of the gang! Not everyone will be present however, with Bronze Tiger sitting this one out and Shrapnel six feet under (R.I.P.).
A brand-new character will also be introduced to the Arrow universe: the corrupt politician Senator Cray, to be played by Grey’s Anatomy and Bosch star Steven Culp.
In the John Ostrander run of the Suicide Squad comics, Joe Cray was a dirty senator who used Task Force X to advance his political standing. On Arrow, Senator Cray will be at the center of a rescue operation in the fictional Republic of Kasnia.

i still find it weird that we love a supervillain team LOL, well Deadshot kind of became an anti-hero or anti-villain i don't which one fits him but he's not a straight out villain
ReplyDeleteInteresting, Felicity's mom is also coming back in this episode. Maybe Oliver will be busy in the hospital with her, thus giving Dig the time to shine with the SS. I'm always happy to see Dig in action and I missed Deadshot and Cupid.

ReplyDeleteNo she is coming back in 3x18. Actually The Flash is one episode ahead of Arrow in production; so EBR will be filming 1x18 of The Flash and 3x17 of Arrow. She will probably get injured in The Flash then goes to Starling to recover.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the SS but I like any reason for a Diggle centric episode. I only like Deadshot because he was starting to show some humanity and helped the team, like you said an anti-hero and Cupid is fun lol can't wait to see her interact with Dig especially if she finds out that he knows The Arrow lol

Yes, but Felcity will be in full on both Arrow 3x17 and 3x18, according to Marc. She will be doing double work to shoot Flash 1x18 and Arrow 3x17.

ReplyDeleteGreat news!!! I was scared that because of the movie we couldn't have Deadshot or the Suicide Squad anymore!!! Glad they're coming back... I was one of the few people that really liked Cupid so i'm psyched! It's always great to see some Digg/Deadshot! I hope Lyla iss by Diggle's side all the episode!

ReplyDeleteHe only appeared in a few issues. He attempted to blackmail Amanda Waller to help him get re-elected. Instead, Deadshot killed him. Because she lost control of the Suicide Squad (Deadshot killing Cray), Amanda was stripped of her position.

Recast Bronze Tiger then add Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn, Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, Malcolm Merlyn aka The Dark Archer, Roy Harper aka Arsenal, and a resurrected paralyzed Sara Lance as Oracle to the Suicide Squad team and lets get this 'spin-off' going.

True. But Roy like Sara hasn't had charges or a case brought against him. And I doubt they'd stick. Roy May have killed the guy but he had no control over his actions, or knowledge of what he was doing. Basically insane automatism. Plus he feels awful about it. Sara as Oracle though, unfortunately doesn't work (lacks the expertise). Be a good lineup though. But Gellar is way too old to be Harley.
