  1. They're already at 3*17 ?!

Wow, they're running that season down on high speed. Altough my guess is that the cast is mostly free for that episode and only makes small appearances while Deadshot/Cupid get some screentime (wich is more than fine in my book)

  2. is it more important to focus on the main story arc with the league/ra's al ghul......I guess this will be solo episode like last year SS episode while still have something new on the main storyline

  3. the last Suicide Squad episode actually posed a great breather for the storyline, it was great to see the secondary characters step up. I'd totally vote for that to become a tradition, 3 episodes focusing on the Suicide Squad could easily give the cast some much needed vacation

  4. Deadshot, Cupid, Waller, Tiger and Deathstroke are good guesses for a possible spin-off.

However Roy, Malcolm and Sara simply aren't part of the myth. Also Arrow chose not to go down the mythical aspect of things, thus Sara certainly won't be ressurected. This isn't a fantasy show. Also Merlyn might not be on good terms with Ra's BUT he is still anti-gov and would never join the Suicide Squad

I could easily see a Suicide Squad webseries tied in to Arrow happening. An overall runtime of 70 minutes divided into seven 10 minute long episodes could work for theCWSeed but as things stand right now DC is prepping a Suicide Squad movie and given their intnetions to keep TV verse and movie verse as seperate as possible (also prohibiting appearances from other DC heroes used in the movies) I doubt that a Suicide Squad solo stint can happen in the near future

  5. Suicide Squad... Diggle heavy episode. What's not to like.

  6. Malcolm's never expressed any actual hated for government. And you don't get a choice.

  7. Suicide Spin-Off Here We Come !!!!

    ( back door pilot ? )

Dead Shot aka Floyd Lawton and Cupid Stupid aka Carrie Cutter are a great start to the team . Recast Bronze Tiger then add Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn, Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, Malcolm Merlyn aka The Dark Archer, Roy Harper aka Arsenal, and a resurrected paralyzed Sara Lance as Oracle to the Suicide Squad team and lets get this 'spin-off' going.

( Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller, Amy Gumenick as Cupid, Michael Rowe as Deadshot, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Harley Quinn, Manu Bennett as Deathstroke, John Barrowman as Dark Archer, Colton Haynes as Arsenal, and Caity Lotz as Oracle )

  8. I agree, can't stand her. I like the Suicide Squad. I'm sure the ep will be okay.

  9. I just hate Cupid.

  10. I hated the fact that they used her purely to create a jealousy storyline. Gumenick played her really well and so I'm hesitant to judge her until her reappearance.

  12. I agree with the movie happening we may as well forget about a tv series remember the reason WB axed the wonder woman pilot.

  13. She was cray cray so maybe she can be Laurels archnemesis like the comics because she believes Oliver loves her , better her than Felicity she would not last in a fight even with Laurel pre season 3.

  14. Yep, this will be this years Diggle vehicle.

I'm guessing this will also tie into ARGUS and Waller and certain plotlines that has been left unattended (maybe some HIVE?). There has to be some more reason for the Hong Kong flashbacks and Oliver being press-ganged to work for Waller other than introducing Tasu and Maseo and thus the means of Oliver's "resurection"

Wasn't there something about Waller loosing leadership over ARGUS? Which would make her an excelent candidate to come back for a season 4 villain with Checkmate or OMAC etc due to the rising number of "masks" (season 4 flashbacks has to be Russia/Bratva right?)

  15. I'm going by comic-canon here. Merlyn was always a traditionalist, trained by the League and against all established order. And given the way he's presenting himself this season (all the chinese art, meditating in a monastry) makes me believe that he's indeed carrying on the beliefs he got from training with Ra's.

However it'd be sweet to see both Merlyn and Slade interact

  16. Awesome. Suicide Squad back in action. Diggle centric...can't go wrong.

  17. Ohhh!!! Now it makes sense!!! An article said this episode was 3x18. They were mistaken!!! This is good news, i honestly couldn't see how a Suicide Squad episode and Donna Smoak would blend...

  18. Dude comicbook canon with Merlyn is pointless. He's pretty different goal wise, he has shown no problem with established order. Simply put Malcolm is only out for himself. If he'll live, he'd work with the squad.

  19. Kreisberg has proven to stay pretty loyal despite the changes they made. We all expected him to be a spoiled rich millionaire kid but as the show progressed he de-volved right back to who he used to be: a older archer trained by the League but now outcast

  20. It's Diggle and Lyla's wedding episode also... They're shooting a wedding(Stephen, Emily, Colton, Katie and Willa have been posted well dressed photos).

  21. Except he has no regard for the league's tenets or ecological beliefs. Even the Undertaking was really nothing more than vengeance for his wife.

  22. I know no one will agree ( or want to hear it ) but I'd like to see Diggle ( and Lyla or just the baby after her death ) and Amanda heading up a "Suicide Squad" spin-off well Felicity and Ray a "Atom' spin-off next season.
As much as I LOVE the Arrow gang together sometimes you got to change it up to keep things fresh.
Separating the gang would a) ensure the success of both spin-offs due to Emil and David's popularity with fans b) it would allow characters already on the show like Thea, Roy, and Malcolm to be used much more then they are now c) it would allow new and excising characters from the comics to come in to this world, d) as well as they both have leads of their own show written all over them.

  23. I took it as Merlyn taking the Leagues beliefs to extreme meassures: destroy something to let something better grow upon its ashes :/

  24. See I like that as well, but Merlyn's phone message and they deserve to die bit just makes me think it's much more about Rebecca. I think it's 70%-80% Rebecca and 30-20% trying to help the city. Still it'd be great if he was on the squad with Slade. His snark and affable arrogance and Slade's cold gruff badassery so cool.

  25. Arrow really has a good hand with its villains

    ReplyDelete
  26. Deadshot yes, Cupid not so much

    ReplyDelete
  27. Roy and Sara aren't evil, so no

  28. Would love for the Huntress to appear as well and be part of the SS. Think the name suits her.
