  1. What at the end. And I'm glad Ichabod and Katrina's problems have finally boiled over to the point it seems like they're considering divorce.

And I'm not entirely convinced Irving actually is dead because Jeremy did have his soul or whatever. That's going to save him.

Ugh at having to wait so long for new episodes.

  2. I was so terrified, thank god he saved his parents.

    Poor, poor Captain Irving :(

  3. I think I am ridiculously ticked right now! I seriously have a frown on my face.

Why in the world would they kill off Captain Irving? WHY?!?!?!?!?!

I sincerely hope they plan on resurrecting him in some way. Ugh . . . . I'm mad at SH right now.

  4. OK this episode was ok like Irving with the sword the ending predictable could've done without the Ichabod and Katrina scenes if they break up that's find as long they don't put Ichabod and Abby together I like them being friends who fight side by side

  5. Fantastic mid season finale -- the time flew by. I thought something like that might happen when Henry started questioning Moloch's orders but it was still pretty spectacular.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Ichabod's reaction to the ride on the motorcycle was hysterically perfect.

  7. I don't think he's dead for good, either. I suspect this is the sort of show where people who die don't actually stay dead for long (and that makes me wonder if we'll see Moloch again someday, too. I can't imagine the "return from the dead" thing would only work for good guys, after all). I sincerely hope this isn't the end of him.
Wow WOW. That ending was intense. I was sitting there all bunched up and holding my breath for the last ten, fifteen minutes or so, and then that ending. Crazy. Where the hell they go from there, I can't even begin to guess. And if this means something for Henry redemption-wise, that could be interesting, too (personally, I'm all for him staying evil and using this as his means of taking over Purgatory and getting his own plans going, but whatever they want to do, I'll be interested to see).
Some intense moments with Ichabod and Katrina, too. Aw. And I loved Abbie being all badass and giving her speech, and everyone backing her up.
As for light moments, Ichabod's reaction to the motorcycle cracked me up, as did Abbie telling Hawley he couldn't have friends over while watching Abraham :D.

  8. This episode had my emotions all over the place. I was cheering, then crying, then cheering Abbie on, (my god I love her) then nervous, then excited, then nervous again. Then surprised and pissed!! I mean I couldn't sit still. This was pretty intense. And I loved it.

Loved all the Ichabbie scenes, however brief, those two just light up the screen. I laughed when Ichabod said, "I want one of those as soon as this is over." Hahaha Ichabod loving the motorcycle. Alright! I was so mad when he was THIS CLOSE to killing Abraham and then he let out that dribble about the sword. I said "oh come on!! Give me a break!" Of course there had to be a catch. BUT HE WAS RIGHT THERE!! Ugh! And not only that, but they told Irving to let Abraham live too. That bugged me even more.

But what made up for it. The agreement between Ichabod and Katrina to freaking separate!! THANK GOD! I wasn't even thinking of that as an option. (I think we all know what I was thinking) but I can live with that. I was literally yelling THANK YOU THANK YOU! Seriously, they need it, and frankly, I'm tired of hearing the same argument over and over. HOWEVER, I am sooo happy that they had this scene. B/c that's the most honest they've been with each other since she's come back and I was just waiting for it. (Since the Mary episode). They talked it out that's all I wanted, straight up honesty, and huge step back. Now they can start from scratch...(if that'll be the case, who knows).

I was extremely sad about Irving. I really did cry, but before then, I cheered him on like crazy!! He really did go out in a blaze of glory, and I felt soooo bad for Abbie. When Ichabod was holding her I cried even more. I really wish he could've seen Macy first. I loved how he demanded Jenny protect them. Sigh, and just to touch a little on my shipper feels, now I'll never see them together. That really sucks, I thought they would've been real good for each other. Damn, I knew his death was coming but it still sucks when it happens. R.I.P. Irving.

Henry- He's great. I loved seeing his "scared" face when Moloch told him to sacrifice himself. I mean wtf was that? Did he REALLY think he'd serve Moloch and not be sacrificed during the final show?? LOL All that talk and he was afraid to die. Then he went to the church, and got his balls back. And I said ok great. Oh but what happened?? That dumb theory that Ichabod said. "Kill Moloch save yourself." Went into his head. Smh that bothered me. There has been NO hint whatsoever that Henry ever wanted a "normal life" he knew what he signed up for, so for him to all of a sudden turn around and ATTEMPT (I don't believe it worked) to kill Moloch just seemed so sloppy to me. All a game to make us see that he has "goodness" inside him. That better not be the case.

Abraham- I'm kinda over him now. I'm tired of his sappiness over Katrina, and his hatred for Ichabod, b/c of Katrina, and him wanting to get Katrina to love him, and all things Katrina. I want my ruthless, gun wielding, son of a bitch, HEADLESS horseman back!! Give him back or kill him off.

Hawley was in five minutes of this episode, i thought he'd have a little more but i guess not. I half expected him to show up behind Henry when they were in the church but then i remembered of yeah he's watching Abraham. lol I loved when Abbie was trying to tell him how serious everything was and he goes, "I get it, you have to save the world, and if you don't...i'm sure i'll know about it pretty quickly." lol that was funny, and Thank you to TPTB for not doing the whole, "Well if this is our last night on earth, let me do this quick." Hawley grabs and kisses Abbie-- thing. Godddd I would've hated that...so much!

All in all this episode was really good. Sigh. And the hiatus begins.

  9. From the interviews the show runners are giving it sounds like Irving might be back, just do not know as what.

    ReplyDelete
  10. the creator said he's free Henry doesn't own his soul anymore

  11. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! this episode was freaking insane i cannot believe that they actually killed The Big Bad in the middle of the season and damn it why did Frank have to die he's part of Team Witness god his death was heart wrenching but he went out like the hero he is, LMAO at Ichabod wanting a motorcycle, Henry actually (hopefully) redeemed himself, now what do they do? Ichabod and Abbie's duty as Witnesses is done now do they just go about their lives

  12. Absolutely fantastic stuff, as always! This show deserves WAY higher ratings then it gets. I just pray FOX will renew it (which I think is still a given considering the MASSIVE leaks FOX has on almost every night).

Please, please, please, bring back John Cho now that his show is done! John Noble and John Cho together is a dream come true!

    ReplyDelete
  13. 1) Excellent episode (Ichabod is just too funny)!
    2) This series is the BEST, IMO!
    3) FOX, season 3 renewal STAT!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I love the Abbie/Crane "Connection" (friendship)! 4 THE SLEEPY HEAD CONNECTION, I will remain Nobody!!!

  14. I give it great instead of Awesome because the twist is predictable and the end scene is bad. Because it's end out of the blue after Henry stabbed Moloch. It's not make me feel to watch the next episode. How does the story continue? Because Henry kill Moloch already.

I have a little bit hope that IC and Katrina will be back as a couple if they just more talk to each other not fight but I'm glad they are separated. Because I'm so sick that IC stick with Katrina lie to him without considering a reason to lie that help to prevent Moloch do his plan. She lie to help mankind on this planet but IC want her to not lie since they are a married couple? IC want to be noble husband and wife on the mountain of human corpse !

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is Moloch dead and gone, or did the sword kill only his earthly body? Wondering about that. Also when did Moloch get a makeover? I seem to have missed that. Anyway, great ep for the most part. I loved the end, although I saw it coming... Didn't make it at all less satisfying.

All in all I am just confused as hell with how they will continue. There's been enough plot covered in these 24 eps to get most shows through four or five seasons, and now Henry is not a horseman, and Moloch is dead apparently. Kinda makes me wonder about if Moloch was actually meant to represent Satan or is a lesser version, which means Satan could be alive and well. Or maybe they'll go with someone as obscure as Moloch was.

    ReplyDelete
  16. awesome.... sure some parts were somewhat predictable: Jeremey's turn, Irving's "death" I have a feeling that with Jeremy's change of heart that we'll be seeing him again... but I really enjoyed the ep and had a lot of fun waiting to see what would happen next... plus IC's desire to own a motorcyle was hlarious

    ReplyDelete
  17. Not as awesome as I would have liked due to Frank's predictable death and also Henry turning on Moloch. Saw both of those coming from a mile away which is a shame because the S1 finale had lots of twists I didn't predict. I know this is only the mid-season and lots can happen leading up to the S2 proper finale but still a bit disappointing.

Have to wonder what is going to be the threat now Moloch is gone? Unless Henry decides he wants to be in charge now and we are back to the whole 'Katrina and Ichabod won't kill their evil son' plot again.

Also where the hell is kindred? Or Kindy as I like to call him, that's one plot point not brought up. I wanted hijinks of Ichabod and Abbie having to rise their messed up 'son' ha.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Do you think Katrina will still be part of the show now that she & Ichabod are gonna divorce? Or will she be kicked out of the show? I loved her. I want her to stay.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't think they will divorce or be separated for long. The intro title has their silhouettes walking towards each other, an for half a season we've been shown how much they love each other, mostly during quiet peaceful moments away from war. I think rather than separate, the writers are going to begin their love story on a fresh footing to connect more with the audience. One of the complains of last year was there love and marriage was only through Ichabod's words and thoughts. So I think this season they plan on making it more real.

    ReplyDelete
  20. hope so. Can you show me the intro title? I missed it :(

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think they are not separated for long time. Because He still call Katrina to be his love in the scene after Irvin die that mean he still love her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The intro is in every episode. It's when the actors names come on. You get Katrina rising her arms to part the trees and the horse running as you see the silhouettes of the Cranes walking towards each other and kissing under an arch. I just think if it was all over they wouldn't have started the whole show with them coming together. You can tell a lot by how they present the show through the intro.

    ReplyDelete
  23. They shouldn't have done that awesome twist in the first season finale.
Now everything this show does looks lame in comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well since the witnesses fight evil and tribulations for 7 years the story is far from over.....

    ReplyDelete
  25. Nicolás Caballero Mühlbach2 December 2014 at 19:35

Me too, however now that they seem to be separated it would be cool to see an independent Katrina bonding with other characters

    ReplyDelete
  26. I feel like that was a creative mistake even if they intended to not use him for a year or two.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes just hope Katrina won't fight too much with Ichabod and viceversa.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just had a thought the intro could talk about the past only so Ichtrina is really over but hope you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lol what sense is in that. To have an intro on the past when the show is about the present and future. I think they will be fine. Unless the writers cave into fan pressure and kill her off. I'd rather they work to use all characters productively.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mixed feelings. Way better than most of Season 2 (which, imo, kind of struggled and I don't know why. The ingredients were all there, but it didn't work that well), but still had problems. The twists were too predictable, though the episode had its moments (but if they keep on doing that "love" triangle thingy, I'm going to be annoyed.....). Imo, they could've done the end times setting more properly, the thunderstorm alone didn't do it (also, the aerial views of the city looked pretty calm (if you don't count the red lightnings).

It may be a little too early to judge, though. But for me this 1st half of Season 2 didn't live up to what it could've been (I wouldn't call it bad either).

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well duh. Just b/c they're separated doesn't mean he still doesn't love her.

Oh, Sleepy Hollow, you are one of those shows I can't help but watching and loving no matter how many sins you commit, sometimes even for the sins you commit. Like most people I was disappointed with the first half of the season, but I feel like they did it on purpose. Abbie being sidelined and Ichabod sucking was only so they could come out the other side stronger. I'm pissed they hardly used Irving and then killed him off, but I'm convinced it's because they are going to use his character the same way they used John Cho's character, but in a bigger and better way. Fingers crossed. As for Katrina, while I don't think she is a horrible character and understand that she is in dire situations most of the time, therefore resulting in her constant saving, but to me this whole first half has been the breakdown of Katrina and Ichabod's relationship. I know Ichabod has been talking about his love for her since the beginning and they are in the intro running towards each other, but I feel like it was just a device to get him where he needed to be (in the 21st century) and add some drama. Producers thought hey, let's keep her around, it paints our lead guy in a romantic light, gives us some plot to play with trying to save her, has people torn on who he should be with (let's be real, that always happens), and gives us a character to use or kill off later. I don't actually being together because it creates an awkward third wheel situation in what works best on the show, Ichabod and Abbie's relationship. I'm just really interested in what they are going to do with her now. I can see Irving's plan, I can see the silly Ichabod in the 21st century scenes and the humorous what do we do now? Ichabod and Abbie scenes producer's talked about coming in the interviews post fall finale, I can even see how many directions Henry/Jeremy can go - reuniting with his parents or peacing out or taking over as the new Moloch, but Katrina? Honestly, I'm down with Katrina being around if her and Ichabod aren't together. It'd be interesting to see two 18th century characters go through a 21st century divorce. I also think it's necessary because I'm sorry, you can't have two attractive lead characters, with that much chemistry, telling each other wedding vows every other day, in constant life or death situations, and not think something is going to grow from that. I don't think it should right now...they have a lot to play with with just Ichabod and Katrina working together but not being together and being okay with that and Ichabod and Abbie growing together and bonding and being their flirty and hilarious selves to last them a season or two. But then I want to see them awkwardly realize their feelings, fight their feelings, confess their feelings, continue to fight their feelings for the cause. I mean, put together two people destined to die and then make them fall in love with each other - instant drama. This show isn't about the apocalypse, it's about the lives of two people who have to fight it. So while I want the badass fight scenes and crazy twistory, I stay for the humor and the heartbreak and the human realness and that is what I see if you put those two down that path. I know I'll get a lot of heat for this, but had to say it.

  33. When Frank went down i called in my head that Henry will kill Moloch and i was right tho i had to be sure and once Moloch said there was a horsemen before Henry and will be after him basically nailed the last coffin to Moloch lol

Btw you should write for spoilertv, your responses to episodes are like a different chapter each week lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah . . . I noticed that too! Abbie was knocked out in one shot, and Katrina was completely useless! Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  35. That really disappointed me that Henry was the one to do it. All that hypse since last season and Henry/Jeremy/War does it??? ugh!! w/e he's done with. Time for the next big bad. And I think i'm over Henry now. Idk we'll see.

    Hahaha thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really hope Irving's death isn't a permanent thing because otherwise it will feel really weird; the character's been constantly sidelined this season while the others decided to not actively work on finding a solution to his problems, strange, since all of them were quite massive. Given how Henry is the architect of at least one of them, it'll feel really out of place if his parents jump onto the 'see, SEE, there was good in hm all along, our faith was justisified,' train. I'm a little weary because I'm not sure I can stomach that, esecially so soon after Irving's death, the one person who would have stood up and said, 'don't celebrate yet; he's still got my soul. What'cha gonna make him do about that?'

Thankfully Abbie's always been the voice of reason and hopefully she'll remind them all of this. If not, it'll probably be a bit of a sticking point with me, for the rest of the season. It's just such a pity. Especially since Orlando was radiating intensity in all his scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Can I ask, what about them was 'petty?' Many of the things they ended up discussing, were things that needed to be hashed out, one way or the other. Hell, Ichabod was just as guilty of the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. To be fair, we all know that happened so that the audience would give their focus to Irving's scenes, especially since he dominanted that part of the episode so throughly. And I expect they also did it so that they could highlight Abbie's grief later on when she attempts to charge out of the church. Doesn't make it right though.

On the other hand, Katrina is not a new problem for the writers. When she's utilised, it's often not as part of the main action and she's given a spell to perfrom that either serves as an enhancer or as a wardening tool. It makes it smetimes differcult to percieve her full use. I'm not sure how to feel about her anymore, to be honest. She has my pity, but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I agree with some of your points, but I don't think you're right to think Henry wanted a 'normal' life. he's been preety consistent with his hatered for humanity and the weakness he thinks it embelishes. What seems to drive him is his need for vengence, for the ones he sees as abandoning/neglecting or betraying him, which is where his ire for his parents is invoked. (How responsible they truely are for his circumstances is up for debate, but I can understand why centuries of being locked up in a box, deprived of sensory stimulation, could make someone less than sympathetic to their reasons.) And the events in this episode, to Henry's eyes, made Moloch the biggest betrayer of them all; the being he called 'father', was willing to offer him up on the sacrifical altar. There's a reason he recietes the parable of Abraham with the spite that he does, before turning to cut down the being, he told everyone time and time again, was his true father. So in that way, it was less about what he desired, and more of him acting on what seems to be his personal moral code.

You're right to be resentful if this a set-up for a redemptation arc though. That would be screwed up, especially given Henry's part in Irving's fate.

    ReplyDelete
  40. thanks. Hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  41. That's the thing, I hope I AM wrong, and that his choice to kill Moloch was purely out of revenge for his betrayal, and not some ploy for Ichabod and Katrina to believe that he has some hint of goodness in him. Smh, if that's the case when the show returns I will be HIGHLY upset, b/c like I've already said, Henry has never wanted nor has he shown that he EVER wanted a "normal life."

    ReplyDelete
  42. I honestly love both pairings: Ichtrina & Ichabbie. I would like to see Ichabbie romance but Ichtrina to stay too. So I don't know how to feel. Conflicted :P

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ok that is a very conflicted position😄
I like Ichatrina as a couple because I'm an old romantic and believe marriages out of genuine love should be fought for. Ichabbie I love as witnesses trying to save the world.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That was awesome! Only problem is Where the in the hell is The Kindred (that charming guy who Abby & Ichi created using Headless' head) when you most need him?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I guess I'm in the minority. If these episodes don't improve, I'm afraid this show may not see another season. It is on the bubble of jumping the shark. They need to return back to the original premise and stop throwing in empty episodes and anticilimatic mid-season finales.

The writers are losing the plot.
