    Maybe she won't be appearing in all episodes? She's got pretty big roles on two other shows (Agent Carter & Orphan Black) this year so she must be pretty busy.

    Well that was better than the horrible season 4, byt stil no way near season 1/2. JF kill;ed the show by having too much control and messing with ML and later EA vision of the show (apparently S4 is full of cut scenes and therefore without much sense!). Still hope they will fininsh on a high note :)

    Orphan Black shouldn't be an issue. Lost Girl is done filming and OB is filming now. I'm not sure about Turn though.

    Actually Emily Andras was the one who "killed" the show. the episodes she wrote in season 1 and 2 wore always the worst ones. Everyone was acting out of character in her episodes. That's why season 3 and 4 were as awful as they were. Jay Firestone's episodes on the other hand were always the better ones. Michael Grassi, the current showrunner, was responsible for the best episode last season and I'm glad he took over from awful EA because 5x01 was pretty good.

    I agree. If they'd of just suck to what was laid out the show would not be ending this season. She wrote it into the ground. I'm dissapoined it took them 2 seasons to rectify that.

    So happy Kenzi is back! The premiere was off the chain lol hella good! But my one and only critique is I wish #Benzi reunion was more deep, like season 4 ending was so dramatic. Like come on Kenzi died. I've lost a sister and if I was to see her again, I would have hugged her so tightly(maybe till her eye balls popped out) told her I loved her and cried with happiness.

    Last I checked JF hadn't written a single episode and EA write quite a few of the best-received in all 4 seasons including 401 and 413 which framed the story arc for S4. There was problems with S4 but I'm not sure we have heard all of went on behind the scenes and how many cooks were meddling with the broth. EA should receive the credit she deserves for fighting hard for Doccubus and bringing us a truly ground-breaking love story. But she had the wisdom to know the show wasn't and couldn't just be a soap opera -- in S3 & S4 she and the writers challenged viewers with an ambitious multi-season long-view story arc that I think will see fruition in S5. MG is a great writer - I'm just sorry to see MG get all the credit for a series finale set in motion well before he took over as show-runner.

    I lurved the premier!! Showcase only starts releasing episode promos after the 2nd episode of every season. I don't know why, but that is just how they do it. The first promo we see will be of Episode 3 probably :)

    Sure JF doesn't write the show, but he has his hands in everything and he always decided of the final product and what was cut out of the ep. Apparently neither Mohan, Boxen, Lovretta and lately Andras could stant his interference, and so they stepped down from running the show one by one :(

    In season one and two in almost every single episode EA wrote Bo was portraied like a 13 year old girl who is constantly pining for Dyson. And Lauren was protraided like a character from a whole different show. See s01e07 and 02e09. And then in season 3 Lauren was suddenly not enough for her. Never ever was it brought up that Lauren could not be enough for Bo. Only in Andras' vision of the show and their relationship was it the case and then she broke them up because of that. This is not what I would call "fighting for them" And then came season 4 which is universally hated by fans. And I can't recall that the first and last episode were any different.
    You're right about JF writing credits, although he did write one episode. I thought it was more. I think I mixed him up with Jeremy Boxen.

    EA wrote 502, and played role in shaping arc of S5, so hold your fire. People who liked this ep but not the ones before don’t recognise that ep 501 relied on them...how dishonest…
