    Damon/Elena

They've just gotten dull and boring. The little we got of Damon/Bonnie far interested me more.

Ted and Robin!!! Too bad they were endgame -.-

    ReplyDelete
  4. No couples from Grey's Anatomy? Don't keep up with the show but last I checked there were a lot of dysfunctional couples there.

    ReplyDelete
  5. How is Stiles/Malia on this poll?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Why did you remind me of this trainwreck of a finale? I was just starting to forget :(

    ReplyDelete
  7. OLIVER AND LAUREL! I can't say this enough, those two are toxic together they bring the absolute worse out of each other besides after he slept with her sister TWICE and she dated his best friend (both are now dead I may add) if they got back together it would be wrong on so many levels!!!!

Second choice would be Damon and Elena I guess, I don't hate or like them I don't really care about them that much but I do think that they are another example for a toxic relationship, whenever one of them loses the other they turn into serial killers, if that's not toxic then I don't know what is!

    ReplyDelete
  8. The most dysfunctional couples ever are in Grey's anatomy !! Enough said !

    ReplyDelete
  9. Why is Stiles/Malia here? Is this a you're not a fan so you vote them to show your hate... or is it to vote for badly written and toxic relationships?

I don't get it... bad pool, tbh.

My vote goes to Cersei/Jamie, Laurel/Oliver and "others"(The most unreal couple of all time: Chuck/Blair).

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why is there no option for Felicity and Oliver from Arrow? Thanks to the bipolar school girls shipping Olicity to death we got the most cringe worthy scenes on TV EVER. I was literally like "WTF is this?" when I saw the season 3 premiere. Laurel on her own is far more superior by herself. But yeah, Oliver and Felicity. She can bang Palmer.

I'm so sorry :( it's been months and I'm still not over it^^

    ReplyDelete
  13. In my opinion Jamie and Cersei because that incest consider they are brother and sister I happen to like Laurel and Oliver I think they should wait to put them together I want them to develop Laurel character more and why is Stiles and Malia on this list

    ReplyDelete
  14. Just out of curiosity, what was that "most cringe worthy scenes on TV EVER"?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I picked Damon and Elena and Klaus and Caroline. Both are unhealthy relationships that should have been ended ages ago (well they put and end to the former one!). Also, while Klaus and Caroline had far better chemistry than Damon and Elena, they're better off apart, IMHO!
As for Damon and Elena, there was a time when they made each other grow and stronger as characters but now it's the exact opposite! Please writers let it go or put them together but focus on something else. I just can't with the Delena "angst" anymore!
    On another note, I would've picked Cersei/Jamie for obvious reasons :) !

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well, they're not technically a couple... as far as i know all the names on the list are/were on a relationship/hooked up.

Also, as far as now... i don't see anything dysfuncional about them, tbh.

I think the point of the pool is to vote for characters who are doing incest; adulterer; one you may consider a pedophile in real life; one when the guy cheated with her sister, she dies, then come back, then hooked up again, he told her to f**k off; a murderous vampire with one of the persons he wants to kill... that's why i don't get what's doing Stalia there...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Same here. I haven't watched a rerun of HIMYM since April.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm courious about Stalia there... I like Stydia more, but they are pretty much far from being dysfuncional. Stiles and Malia are pretty cute together... Might be the first time i don't care wich couple is endgame, i like both of them xD

    ReplyDelete
  19. No, you didn't... Sorry... I'm gonna go curl down on a dark hole and die. God! Why remind me of that trainwreck? T_T

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mary Margaret and Doctor Whale - OuaT.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fitz/Olivia from the list + Other--Lauren/Bo Lost Girl.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ambar Moreno Candelas25 November 2014 at 12:39

Oliver and Laurel, there's no doubts here. This couple was finished from the first episode of the first season. Too much drama, very boring... Oliver was unfaithful to Laurel with Sara, Laurel didn't care back to him despite this HUGE detail, they both broke the heart of Tommy, together they bring out the worst of one and the other, Oliver returned with Sara again, Laurel wanted to f**ck with Oliver again with zero personality... A disgusting drama.

    ReplyDelete
  23. There is nothing dysfunctional about Stiles and Malia. Nothing. They are the opposite of dysfunction. They support each other, love each other and they get each other. So judging that addition.
I would vote for every other couple on that list if I had votes. Fitz and Olivia/Damon and Elena are tied for me.
    Other-
    Elena/Stefan, Tom/Liz, Callie/Arizona and every past relationship on Grey's outside of Meredith/Derek.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That show should have dysfunction in it's title. The ones who could work beyond their dysfunction get killed off.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh c'mon Cersei & Jaime were made for each other. Literally. Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Every single canon couple on OUAT except for Snowing...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Top of my list is Damon and Elena, then Fitz and Liv. I am sick of puppy dog Damon.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Fitz and Olivia as well as Bo and Lauren from Lost Girl. Fitz and Olivia get one my last frakkin nerve. Seriously. Run the country and let. Her. Go. As for my "other" vote, I've never been a fan of Lauren and Bo together. It just seems soooo forced. I'm hoping that when Lost Girl FINALLY returns that Bo will have moved on. Preferably with Tamsin. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oliver & Felicity are not a couple yet & they are certainly not disfunctional. Also sorry but their scenes are by far the most fun entertaining of the show & the stunts. Look up disfuntiuonal in the dictionnary.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Very easy options for me-Delena and Klaroline from TVD.The funny thing is,the first one will be the endgame of TVD and the 2nd one of TO eventually in the long run unfortunately!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fitz and Olivia, I don´t like Fitz anymore, I prefer Jake and Olivia, and Cersei and Jamie, they are brother and sister! I think they don´t match at all, he´s too good for her, maybe not that good, he´s working on it, but definitely better than her.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Really, i didn't knew the word "dysfuncional" as a synonymous for "dislike"... You can dislike Olicity but they are pretty much normal compared to such dysfuncional couples like Oliver/Laurel, Oliver/Helena or Oliver/Sara.

Oliver and Felicity are like Oliver/McKenna... They are a pretty normal couple. That was a couple i really liked back on Season 1.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Damon and Elena.

What the heck is Stiles/Malia doing on this poll? Their relationship was fun from the start.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's true, I'd say for the main cast anyway. Some 1 episode characters and some season 1 not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Stiles and malia should not be on this poll!

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's exactly who came to my mind when I read the post's title.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think is more worrisome that there are people actually voting for them on a pool with Cersei/Jamie, Ezra/Aria, Laurel/Oliver, etc...

I think there are 38 persons, so far, that don't get what "dysfuncional" means... :S

    ReplyDelete
  38. I actually want Don and Betty to be endgame... i liked the show more when they were a couple (even a dysfunctional one)

And even a lot of people are tired and bored with Calzona (grey's Anatomy) i'm still rooting for them

    ReplyDelete
  39. Klaus/Caoline,Damon/Elena ,Ezra/Aria

    ReplyDelete
  40. Voted for Damon/Elena and Klaus/Ce. The latter can't actually be considered as couple, but I still think it's the worst thing that happened in the history of character's destruction so I had to vote for it.

PS I know that shipping may cloud someone's judgement, but Malia is not dysfunctional couple.

    ReplyDelete
  41. No, no, no. Don't even think about it!

    ReplyDelete
  42. So why are Cersei and Jamie here? Sick
And why isn't Calzona here? They should've broken up back in S07.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If I can go back in time, i would have stopped Blair/Chuck from happening.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Callie/Arizona and Daniel/Emily. I refrained from voting for Fitz/Olivia because they never were in an official relationship, therefore they can't back together again.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oliver/Laurel. Klaus/Caroline got my votes.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks... That might be the most dysfuntional couple on tv from the past 10 years xD

Laurel and Oliver remind me of those two(i think theCW wanted them to be the next Chair). I still don't get how people like that kind of relationships, even on tv...

    ReplyDelete
  47. People say the show has to go there because they were married in the comics.Slightly false. They are also DIVORCED in the comics! Please let them stay away from each other.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Cersai/Jamie, do I even need to expand on that?

Also Fitz and Olivia. They are most certainly going to be together again, but their on and off game has truly got to my nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cersei/Jaime and Oliver/Laurel without any doubt!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Olivia & Fitz. I say why are Delena & Lauliver even on the list? For me they are meant to be but of course the Arrow fandom wants Olicity so I think the producers will give fans Olicity endgame. I wondet why Stalia is even on this list...

    ReplyDelete
  51. They already did the whole Arrow/Canary with Oliver/Sara... One can argue they already did canon. Also, like you said they're a very unstable couple.

Arrow already deviated way to much from the comics to be using that argument... People should enjoy both the show and comics as two diferent things, like i do. They're both good on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I stopped watching it on Netflix after the first couple of seasons and never did watch the show live for that reason. It is bizarro! How it's lasted so long is beyond me!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Emily and Daniel lol. I would say Fitz and Olivia but I love them together

    ReplyDelete
  54. From the list, Oliver/Laurel because it was always about lies and bringing out the worst in each other.

From an earlier fandom, House/Cuddy, again bringing out the worst in each other (although fewer lies than Oliver and Laurel).

    ReplyDelete
  55. I can agree that Laurel on her own is much better than Laurel who was with Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oliver and Laurel. The waves of revulsion flowing between them are practically visible, and have been from their first scene together.

I'm not even a person who really cares about their dysfunctional backstory. They're dysfunctional onscreen, in the sense that it's difficult to believe that these two people have ever willingly been in the same room together, much less best friends who turned into lovers.

Oliver has been good with Sara and Felicity, and okay with Helena and McKenna. Laurel was good with Tommy. But Oliver and Laurel together is like nails on a chalkboard.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yeah, not the biggest fan of Olicity, but how are they dysfunctional? I will agree that Olicty in season 2 reeked of pandering, and that shouldn't had been.

But as for dysfunctional? Not really, if anything Felicity brings the best in Oliver; sadly Oliver is being written like an hypocritical, emotionally stunned, joyless dark vigilante, and I really don't want anyone suffering him until they fix him.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Laurel/Oliver and Jamie/Cersai. The first because I like them least when they're together, whenever they're together, and I don't see that ever changing. Even if the story made me feel better about them getting together - and that would take a lot of doing at this point - there is just no romantic chemistry between the actors. Even when I was trying to pull for them early in season one because I love Katie Cassidy so much (Original Ruby forever!) the best I could react with was, "Oh. That's kinda cute." I can get super embarrassing excited about any part of a TV show, shipping included, so if I'm actively trying to like you and that's the best I can do, that's just sad. Plus, they've both had better love interests - Felicity and Sara for Oliver, and Tommy for Laurel. Knowing that they could both be in better, more interesting relationships with actors they have chemistry with means that it is even worse trying to watch the show make Laurel and Oliver happen. I don't need Olicity, even if I want it, but I do need Laurel and Oliver to stay far, far away from each other. They're all broody and toxic and angry like 90% of the time they're together. So the point of this little mini-rant is no. Just all the no.

The second is because they are the sibling banging nastys who made Joffrey. No other explanation needed.

    ReplyDelete
  59. How can two friends falling for each other count as 'dysfunctional'? If they're cringe worthy to you, that doesn't mean they're dysfunctional. It just means you don't like them lol

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ted and Robin... oh wait.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Does a one night stand count as being together as a couple? Either way, I voted for Klaus and Caroline, because I have never, and will never, ship them, and those two getting together officially would be enough to make me stop watching both shows.

I also voted Oliver and Laurel, but I don't really see how they were dysfunctional. Oliver banging her sister aside, they're a pretty normal couple compared to most. But again, I don't ship it. And Would get tired of it so fast.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Totally voted Laurel/Oliver. The toxic, dysfunctional history aside, the actors have negative levels of on-screen chemistry to the point where I would actively shudder in the first season and wonder why the show kept trying to bring them together. What a relief season 2 was when they started moving away from all of that. They are FAR better apart then they are together. While I've developed a definite fondness for Oliver/Felicity, even if they were not to end up together, I'd rather Oliver be alone in the end than back with Laurel. Easily the worst part of an otherwise stellar show.

I also voted Jamie/Cersei. Seriously. Incest is ALWAYS a no-no. When it produces a Joffrey? Even worse. Kill it with fire.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I doubt Candice Accola will go to TO after TVD is over. But if she does I doubt I will watch TO ever again. Klaroline is one of the worst couples to ever exist.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Laurel and Tommy were horrible together. At some point even worse than Oliver/Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  65. For me it's a tie between Laurel and Oliver and Olivia and Fitz. Both couple are so different from each other yet toxic in their own ways.

Laurel and Oliver are both good people but really bad to each other especially Oliver in the past. The simple fights and arguments between them looks like they are going on war. Both characters are at their best when they are far away romatically.

Olivia and Fitz on the other hand are two horrible people, Fitz especially. They make wrong choices over wrong choices. It's a controlling, toxic and I feel revulsion when these two are put together romantically on a scene now. Any goodness left in Olivia will go away if she shacks up again with Fitz.

I do not mind any kind of relationships in TVD/TO universe and GoT. The characters go through relationships so often it just does not matter anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  66. That double date with Oliver/Helena where Laurel completely embarrassed Tommy.. urgh.. I just don't get the Tommy love. I liked him with Oliver earlier season 1. Then that one episode with the kid. That's it. After that he needed to die for me to care about him. His death made me sad for Oliver that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Don't say Caroline will go to TO. I can't see her fitting there any way.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Voted Damon/Elena and Stiles/Malia. Stiles/Malia is creepy and weird imo in many different ways, while Damon/Elena... Let's just say I don't think they're very good for each other (or anyone, not with their attitude). Plus I find them genuinely and mind-numbingly boring.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hands down for me, Oliver/ Laurel. I actually quit Season 1 when I started shipping QUEENCEST faster than GA/BC epic love story. God, those were terrible times.

    ReplyDelete
  70. That's is a poll for the haters, if you would ask for the best coupling ever you could get the same or similar results. I like Stiles and Malia and Damon and Elena and they are both on the list and also popular couples. If they had included Finn and Clarke from the 100, I am sure they would have won.

    ReplyDelete
  71. LMAO Thea and Oliver. I'm not even ashamed anymore. Chemistry is subjective and I saw NO chemistry whatsoever between KC and SA. When I started fangirling over Queencest scenes, I knew it was time for me to quit the show altogether before I got too crazy lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I wouldn't call Stiles and Malia dysfunctional. More importantly any problems they had are gone and they're not even broken up.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yeah not only are they not broken up. Their really aren't comparable to the problems of other ones here.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Speaking of cringe worthy, I just watched the episode "Sara" and when felicity was "Crying" that was painful to watch, and not in the good way.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yeah they shouldn't be here. Delena sucks so much though.

    ReplyDelete
  76. They're not nearly as fucked up as Laurel and Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  77. It fits with his character now, but yeah it's sad that it happened because it is pretty overplayed.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Whoa you mean you shipped them in a romantic relationship? Sorry but that's messed up lol it's a good thing you quit lol I love their relationship but as a brother and sister I never went there, I didn't even know there was a ship name, it's a good thing EBR came to our lives lol so the fans can keep their sanity, and that's another example as to why Lauliver is toxic it drove the fans crazy hahahaha
But I agree SA and KC have less than zero chemistry and the kind of chemistry they have as actors is horrible, their scenes together even the normal ones are very cringe worthy the only chemistry they have is a bickering chemistry that's why when they fight they are at their best which is kinda sad when you think about it (it is sad but I'm not really that upset about it as an Olicity shipper I'm grateful muahahahaha)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Trust me, I know! Those were horrible times... I ONLY came back after my sister literally FORCED me to watch it again. I'm thankful for EBR every. single. day.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Okay, i saw that thinking written somewhere else... I have good memory... Don't you have an test to study for?

Sorry, but when something bugs me i need a resolution xD

    ReplyDelete
  81. The writers and the actors always say that they are not following the comic books cannons they are just using them as guidelines and that they are telling their own version of GA, besides they already deviated a lot from the comic books cannons in a lot of things not just the romantic pairing and it would be very stupid to put those two together just to follow the GA\BC relationship, but you know what really annoys me when people say GA\BC are destined to be because of the comic books? It's the fact that even in the comic books their relationship was horrible, he cheated on her constantly and they even got divorced so why would you want to see that relationship? and even if you want you can read the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  82. LMFAO I'M DYING. DO YOU FOLLOW ME ON TUMBLR? AND YES. I DO. I CANT CONCENTRATE LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  83. Actually I enjoy Stydia more as friends and partners in solving crimes lol plus Stiles and Malia are way too cute.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Wait are you who I think you are on Tumblr? I thought that was you when you mentioned your sister forcing you to watch again, you always say that on Tumblr lol

    ReplyDelete
  85. LMAO depends who you think I am ;D

    ReplyDelete
  86. I knew it! And yes, i follow you Jajaja I know the feel, sister... i have a test on saturday morning... i should be studying too, and yet i'm still writing my book and peeking here from time to time.

    God, i hate mathematical analysis...

    ReplyDelete
  87. LMAOOO this literally made my day. The fact that my followers are able to tell me apart from the rest of the world. I swear I love you guys. Good luck on your exam baby!

    ReplyDelete
  88. I don't know if she will or not but that psycho woman julie has often hinted so.But then again she said that TVD was stefan's story a long time ago,so i wouldn't her words seriously!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Well the name Val is a huge give away lol, I don't want to say your blog's name here but its photo is EBR in a pink dress, right?

    ReplyDelete
  90. I always tought of their chemistry as "a duck and a stick of wood": The duck tryes to hug the stick but he can't... he doesn't have arms. So he just squeals loudly while the stick of wood falls like death weight to either side. She lays there on the grass.

    They don't work...

    ReplyDelete
  91. Are we playing Scooby Doo?

    ReplyDelete
  92. hahahahahaha, I'm just respecting her privacy so I don't want to say her blog's name.

    ReplyDelete
  93. LMAO there are hundreds of Vals! haha but yupp! That's me! Hi babe! ;D

    ReplyDelete
  94. you guys are either too good or I'm too obvious LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hi hun! lol, the last fanfic you reposted broke my heart by the way, just an fyi hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh, i know... I just need to make a stupid comment to keep me from doing what i have.

At least i didn't asked her to marry me.. That's progress xD

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm gonna go with us being too good lol

    ReplyDelete
  98. LMAO do you see how much studying I'm getting done by the way? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  99. I see that you are making a lot of "progress" today lol, maybe you Should go study lol

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yep, i'm gonna keep the compliment... It's just more fuel to my narcissistic personality xD

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah I see, you are a great multitasker hahaha. Seriously guys go study lol

    ReplyDelete
  102. Jeez, mom/dad/crazy uncle who dresses like a woman(i don't know your gender and don't want to sound close minded)! Well, i guess you're right... I still think it's progress...

I'm going to study... Bye... T_T

    ReplyDelete
  103. LMAO IM DYING. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.

    ReplyDelete
  104. You don't know that I'm a girl? The Koky and the Cinderella photo didn't tip you off? lol and don't EVER call me mom again :S it's bad enough that I'm telling you both to go study, I'm already feeling like a mom :\

    ReplyDelete
  105. I hope you guys don't mind me posting this up on my blog LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  106. I don't know... A transgender uncle could totally rock a Cinderella photo, just saying. The only Koky i know is a male actor from here and that's his nickname...

Okay, okay... I'm already opening the folders... See ya later, "mom".

PS: i already have a pseudo-wife, a third wheel(for the love triangle... i love the drama), a best man and now a mom.

    Mom? Where's daddy? :(

I'M OUT! Why i turn everything super weird? :/

    ReplyDelete
  107. No it's cool post away lol

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'm gonna be famous! :O

And i tought i needed to wait for someone to publish my books... Pffff...

    ReplyDelete
  109. I think they were dysfunctional because Oliver was always cheating on her and Laurel just ignored it because she wanted to be Mrs. Oliver Queen. When she was laying out her plan for the future to Sara (live together now, get engaged after a year and then get married) and Sara told her that Oliver wasn't ready for that and he was cheating on her with ten girls they both knew, Laurel's reply was "Why can't you be happy for me?" She should have said "Cheating? What do you mean? Because I'm not going to be with someone who is cheating on me." Instead it seemed like she knew all along that he was cheating on her but ignored it because she had her Plan.

She also enabled him being a douche and dropping out of four different colleges instead of getting his act together. So did his parents but at least Oliver called his mother out on that.

And then in season 1, no sooner does Oliver tell Tommy to go to Laurel and fight for her, and Laurel declare she's going to fight for Tommy, than Oliver goes to Laurel's apartment and they're banging away together.

Oliver and Laurel always brought out the worst in each other.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I agree, why do you do that?

    ReplyDelete
  111. I don't know... people tell me i'm adorable and funny. I just talk too much about everything tbh.

Usually i tone it down by writing, but lately with work and the university i couldn't do much of that... and it's showing Jajaja

PS: I can engage on a serious talk too... I'm actually pretty responsible(no joke, i swear!) xD

    ReplyDelete
  112. And honestly, it wasn't played right to begin with. The way he gave up on Felicity was just so hookey, and clearly keeping them apart was just done because it was easier and produced cheap angst, and that's what I'm really disliking about how they are writing Ollie.

It's like, they went with dark and moody, which although overplayed, it is not "bad", but they went for it with the cheapest plot.

    ReplyDelete
  113. yep Val you should most def study ! stop procrastinating ! ;D ps : love your tumblr ! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  114. LMFAOOOOOOO IM DYING. THANK YOU MY LOVE.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yeah it sucks it was done just to create angst.

    ReplyDelete
  116. LOOL sure ! No problem !! I just saw ! LOOl

    ReplyDelete
  117. I think the writers like going the easy route by using the cheapest plot. They magically made Slade love Shado, they killed Sara to further Laurel's journey when they could've done something else, they brought in Ray for yet another triangle... I think these cheap plots are just a means for them to easily get from point A to point B which is kind of said...

Anyways back to the point, this is sort of why I'd like Oliver to get his shit together and actually fight for her :p She's been there for him since day 1 and it'd be nice to see him be selfish for once and fight for her. Otherwise I think them getting back together would be a hard sell for me. And I LOVE them together.

The first 20 minutes of the premier showed a lighter and happier Oliver. I hope that he gets that back after this season because happy Oliver > broody Oliver. It'd be nice to see him be the one to support others for a change you know? So yeah, I hope they stop the whole dark moody thing they have going on here in regards to Oliver. He's already had a shitty life. Let him actually live for once. It'd be fun to explore.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Cersei and Jaime.

I've saying this even before he met Brienne

    ReplyDelete
  119. That doesn't make Stalia dysfunctional.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Ooh don't forgot he crippled Bran because of his love for Cersei.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I agree that Oliver and Laurel are extremely toxic for each other and B.O.R.I.N.G. Their scenes together are so mind numbing. They act their lines just fine it is just that there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THEM. All I hear is crickets when they are on screen. (The only scene I did like between them is when Oliver finally said he is done with her in the hallway of her apt---what does that say?) They bring out the worst in each other.

    ReplyDelete
  122. It wasn't done to create angst it was done to show Oliver is shouldn't be the overplayed moody loner vigilante. The reaction to Sara's death and the admitted desire to follow Felicity into the light was one of the first non-cliche things the show has ever done. So I applaud it.

Also, I don't think Ray is there just for a "love" triangle. He's manipulating Felicity. I mean I think he likes her too and you're totally going to have the "I was using you, but along the way I realized you were great please forgive me" cliche. But the primary purpose of his plot role isn't to kiss Felicity and make Oliver jealous.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm well aware that it wasn't done just to create angst, perhaps I spoke too thoughtlessly. I know it ties into Oliver's identity plot and that Palmer isn't just a love triangle device (he's the Atom) and I doubt he's just manipulating Felicity. Doesn't seem to be Palmer's game. While this show isn't completely original (nothing is anymore) I think it's a bit much to say that development is one of the first non-cliched things they've done.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I guess fearlessly making your hero a douche for most of season 1 wasn't cliche, but it wasn't very successful in my book. :-) So I can amend, I think it is one of the most exciting breaking of comic book tropes that they've done. I get really excited when shows break tropes I hate. And I hate the chauvinist Bond, Batman, etc, I can't be with someone I'll put them in danger. Usually we see the lover die, and the guy uses it as an excuse to be a womanizing slut. I really liked the reversal.

Regarding Ray, nobody goes to that much trouble to woo someone, and then pulls back when they finally get past platonic. He had a plan--getting carried away in the moment broke it--he wants something from Felicity. And that something is above and beyond the computer skills he recruited her for, and it isn't just romantic. IMO. I think the actual liking her will/has impacted his plans.

  125. Exactly!! I shipped Tasmin and Bo so hard that I was stun and momentarily confused when Tasmin confessed her love for Dyson. I never saw it coming as the two characters barely have any scenes together. Yea and Fitz is annoying. He's need to take care of his family too.

    ReplyDelete
  126. those two on New Girl

    ReplyDelete
  127. Rumplestiltskin and Belle from Once Upon a Time

    ReplyDelete
  128. Oh and Jaime also raped Cersei right next to their dead son whilst Cersei was obviously grieving.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Tasmin confessing her love for Dyson threw me for a loop as well. I didn't see that coming. Not at all. Maybe she, Bo, and Dyson can have a nice little triad going. They all have great chemistry and I'd be sooooo down for that. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  130. It was so bad, so so bad! It blows my mind how many people liked that pairing, though, Chuck was the worst.

    ReplyDelete
  131. The person who did the poll is probably a Stalia/Sterek shipper. That's the only explanation I've got.

    ReplyDelete
  132. OMG I just found out you are the same Val from TUMBLR hahahahahha... I love your asks, I laugh so much reading them.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Apparently not so rapey in the books. But yeah that is f*cked up.

    ReplyDelete
  134. LMFAO IF I DON'T HAVE THE BEST FOLLOWERS EVER. HI GORGEOUS!

  136. Ambar Moreno Candelas26 November 2014 at 21:48

    Yeah, that was very creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  137. So desperate was the audience for *someone*, *anyone*, to ship him with...

My viewing experience (jumping on the summer after S1) was watching the first two eps thinking "Ok, Joanna maybe? Can it be Joanna? Oh wait, wow...is Thea his real sister? Because..."

Then Felicity arrived to save us all. And by "us" I mean the viewers, the producers, and Stephen Amell.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Agreed, I don't see them as dysfunctional at all.

    ReplyDelete
  139. IDC if a couple is dysfunctional or not only if it's good TV or not so TBH that's the basis I voted on, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Yep I don't expect Klaroline to be endgame at all, IMO it's gonna be Steroline for Caroline and I'd guess probably Klayley for Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Fitz/Olivia.
They are the most dysfunctional couple on this poll. They're completely toxic for each other and Olivia is a much better character away from him.

    ReplyDelete
  142. definitely Damon and Elena the toxicity of that relationship and the fact that the writers want people to ignore said toxicity is astounding and is one of the reasons I don't watch TVD anymore I refuse to support that horrendous relationship by giving them ratings

    ReplyDelete
  143. definitely Damon and Elena the toxicity of that relationship and the fact that the writers want people to ignore said toxicity is astounding and is one of the reasons I don't watch TVD anymore. I refuse to support that horrendous relationship by giving them ratings

    ReplyDelete
  144. they were a one night stand that has barely interacted with each other since then I don't think they count

    ReplyDelete
  145. Damon and Elena ! They're so bad for each other

    ReplyDelete
  146. Delena, thats for sure. Sorry but these two are the living proof of dysfunctional. They never inspire eachother, they can´t help eachother to be better. And to be really honest, Elena´ choices and problems are so boring by this time. I need something new on TVD.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Right on the Point. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  148. It wasn't the worst ever on TV but Oliver making date plans with Felicity while being in the middle of a high speed chase was the definition of cringeworthy in my book.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Really? Why? I know that you're an anti shipper and that it annoys you when the romance interferes with the plot of the story or when they shove a romantic scene unnecessarily in the action (like the last season of W13) so I would understand if you thought it was annoying or unnecessary or even eye rolling worthy, but cringe worthy? I can see the break up scene or when Oliver and Felicity were acting all lovey dovey after he saw the fern or when he was nervous and babbling when he asked her out or even the date; described as cringe worthy from a non shipper perspective, but the high speed chase scene?

I think it was the least romantic scene of the episode and I don't think it was meant to be seen as a fluff scene at all and let me explain why.

Oliver was very excited for their date and the possibility that he could have a life and a future and maybe someday a family like Diggle, so he let himself be happy and since for so long Oliver didn't see himself having those things and I don't think he believed that after all the horrible things he's done that he deserves happiness. But then Diggle tells him that he can have those things and that he deserves them and Captain Lance disbands the anti-vigilante task force and recognizes him as a hero, so he lets himself hope and his excitement took over to the point that he lost his edge and his focus in the field and that could be a very dangerous thing and it could get people hurt or worse which is exactly what happened, as his distraction allowed the bad guy to plant the tracer on him and that led to the explosion and innocent people got hurt and died, because he allowed his personal life to take over and that made him realize that as long as the city needs the Arrow he can't be Oliver Queen, he can't allow himself to be distracted by his life (QC) or his own happiness (Felicity) and he needs to focus on being the Arrow only, And that's the main theme of this season for all the characters, who am I? and can I reconcile both sides of myself? That's why I don't think the scene was only thrown there to please the shippers (sure that was a contributing factor), it was a part of the whole picture.

Sorry that got long and ranty, it wasn't supposed to be when I started writing lol

    ReplyDelete
  150. I vote Klaroline & Lauliver

    ReplyDelete
  151. STEFAN/ ELENA TVD come on UGHH - they've met because he was stalking her, didn't tell her many important things about himself, has hidden an addiction (what 17year old should go through this?) has always said that she's perfect, when she's doesn't even want to be, tried to drive her off a bridge when she's almost died.. and then saw her "as a broken toy" and treats her ..well just awful.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Stiles and Malia, definitely. That is one of the most fucked up couples ever. Almost as abusive and fucked up as Delena. Just gross.

    ReplyDelete
  153. That is one of the most abusive couples of all time. Just not good.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Where's the option for ''Captain swan''?

    ReplyDelete
  155. You're missing Klaus and the wolf thing (hayley) on there. I would vote for them in a heart beat. Now that they're a 'couple' anyway, they're just gross.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I don't really see how Klaus/Caroline is dysfunctional. Plus, they're not even a couple. Never have been, but whatever.
My vote went to Damon/Elena because that relationship is so bad for both of them, it's been canonically stated that they are toxic. I don't think it can get any worse than that.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Klaus has almost killed her a few times (Season 2 when Katherine suggested he sacrifice her, Season 3 when he had Tyler fatally bite her, then again in Season 4 when he fatally bit her) and Caroline has also tried to/plotted to kill Klaus and his entire family.

I don't think there's anyone in Klaus' life that he does not have a dysfunctional relationship with. I think he's just unable to have any sort of healthy relationship at all.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I'd rather see more Cersei and Jamie, than Stiles and Malia, I feel strange saying that I'd rather see an incestual couple than one between a coyote who should never be in High School due to only having schooling up until the 2nd/3rd grade and a guy who should be suffering from PTSD instead of 'teaching' someone how to be human and calling it 'progress' when she talks about leaving people for dead or correcting her when she said she wanted deer instead of pizza. So yeah Stalia is horribly dysfunctional especially when mentally she should be 8.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Malia was a coyote for 9 years, then gets turned back is magically and mentally able to attend high school and is a-okay to have a relationship, I mean she punched him then later on they are making out/having sex on a nasty couch in the basement of a mental institution, let's not forget that Stiles just got over being possessed by the nogitsune. Also if Stiles has 'teach' Malia to be human then he should focus on that, not dating her.

    ReplyDelete
  160. What are all my Notp doing here? And I can only vote for two?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Actually, there is always been a tension between Slade and Shado. I knew during season 1 that something will happen between them.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Yeah, it was so cute when she punched him, enter his home and bed while he was sleeping, terrified him by growling at him, saying how she wants to kill him. And he was so cute when dictating what she should eat and how she should act! So much love!!! Just like Edward and Bella, huh?

It's dysfonctinal because it's an abusive relationship. For your own sake, I hope you'll be able to recognise them for what they are from now on.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Abusive is not dysfonctional? Good to know.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Really sad for all the survivors who had to see that :(

    ReplyDelete
  165. Stalia has been bad ever since they showed it was fine to have unprotected sex in the basement of an insane asylum while Stiles was on drugs and Malia (who should be feral, but okay) was feeling guilty about killing her entire family. Then every time he grooms her, he basically tells her she's not good enough. All of their connection is done off screen or even worse, off script. Shelley had to explain an entire scene that no one understood on Wolf Watch. They're not very friendly to each other, in fact Malia only compliments Stiles to other people and I don't think Stiles has EVER complimented Malia except to say "I can work with that" and Malia's "I would never leave you." (no reason why, just know that I won't... EVER).. It's an awfully written couple and it saddens me how many people shove off their issues with "it's cute!".

    ReplyDelete
  166. I voted for Jaime/Cersei because Jaime makes a better couple with Brienne and incest is so gross!!!!! You should never support incest!!! Jaime / Cersei shippers are disgusting and should be locked up,

    ReplyDelete
  167. Yep. Just like the people claiming abuse in Twilight and Fifty Shades were obviously scorned shiper! ;-)
Sorry to break it to you, but there is tons of reasons to think that Stalia is dysfunctional. The first one being abuse survivors themselves SAYING that they're triggered by Stalia. No matter what our stand on Stalia is, I think we should all listen when abuse survivors are talking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I'm sorry if I offended you, it was not my intention, I'm ignorant to why people think they're dysfunctional, I'm not dismissing those who say they are, I just have no idea why some people say that.
You know, I hate the relationships on Twilight and 50 shades, so if you don't mind, please tell me why are Stalia considered dysfunctional. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  169. all those reasons and more. The fact that she punched him in the face because he apparently ruined her life by turning her human...and then they proceeded to have sex 20 minutes later. Maybe less. While Stiles was on the verge of possession, while also still dosed with Haldol which can have pretty severe side effects.
The fact that Shelley thinks Malia punching STiles in the face is her way of showing her affection and love.
The grooming! My god, the grooming. If Stiles has to tell her how to be a 'normal' girl, he shouldnt be dating/having sex with her. Not only because the grooming is heavily gross, but Malia should be figuring out how to be a girl, and not what society deems as normal, before she is in a relationship.
The entire basis for the relationship is triggering to me. I am an abuse survivor myself, who was struck and also groomed, and I was highly offended that they were trying to play stalia off as cute when it's the product of lazy writing and full of abuse and continuity issues. I found it difficult to watch any of their scenes, and I dont know if I'll be able to watch S5 if theyre front and center. After the way their relationship began and horribly progressed, I'm hard pressed to be able to enjoy them at all now.

    ReplyDelete
  170. You didn't really offended me I just don't get why you would express your opinion that way if you say yourself that you are ignorant about these issues. Would'nt it be better to inform yourself BEFORE commenting in such harsh ways and establishing theories?

I'm not sure I'm the best to explain since english is not my first language and I am not an abuse survivor myself, but I can try. First maybe you should read what user "sproth" have typed in a thread above. They are an abuse survivor. Here's an excerpt :

"The entire basis for the relationship is triggering to me. After the way their relationship began and horribly progressed, I'm hard pressed to be able to enjoy them at all now."

Second, I suggest rewatching their scenes if you can (and scenes were they talk about each other) or reading the scripts and reflect on them. Among other things, you'll see Malia being violent or menacing, threatening Stiles and not caring about his consent, Stiles being uncomfortable, shrinking, Stiles grooming Malia and treating her like a project, dubious consent in all sexual and intimate intercouse and generally dark and creepy environnement/setting in most of their "romantic" moments, etc., etc.

I think it's also important to remember while watching that males can also be victim of abuse even if it's not our reflex to thinks so as a society.
Some situations that Stiles found himself in in regard of Malia is basically the reverse versions of situations in Twilight. Ie she enter in his room while he sleep. And he also has tendencies to "groom" Malia that has similarities with the attitude of the male protagonist in 50 shades. It is very much an abusive relationship (which is by definition dysfunctional).
It's understandable that it's hard for people to see that being promoted as cute. Bad move...

    ReplyDelete
  171. Lol at people who don't understand why Stalia is on this list. Malia shows abusiveness towards Stiles, you guys just see it as cute however (since it's a girl doing it to a guy, of course). Malia's entire storyline is honestly f***** up, and she is in no position to be in a relationship with anyone. Stiles should not be in a relationship either, and not to mention that he isn't equipped to handle teaching her to be human. He simply makes excuses for her, constantly saying "it's progress" when in reality, she isn't progressing. Stiles' keeping secrets from her, making excuses for her, Malia sneaking into his room, Malia snarling at him in the classroom when the teacher called on her (he looked genuinely hurt and actually pretty scared of her), there is so much about that relationship that is dysfunctional. And just to be clear, I love teen wolf, I love Stiles, I am okay with Malia as a character on her own, but I see hundreds of issues with that relationship and why they shouldn't be together.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Like maybe you should have stated your reasons BEFORE you attacked me on my opinion? About researching, I'm commenting on a thread in an entertainment site, I'm not publishing an article or a dissertation about it, so no, I didn't research and to be honest I don't care that much about Teen Wolf to rewatch an episode. And as I said above, I don't disqualify the reasons why people think they are dysfunctional, I just attested that AT THAT MOMENT I had no knowledge of any of those reasons and ship wars was my only explanation. By the way, this thread was a lot smaller when I posted my comment and there was none comments explaining those reasons, like there are now.

Anyway, thank you for responding, I'll definitely pay more attention to those things. Have a nice day!

    ReplyDelete
  173. SO many reasons. SO many.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Malia punched Stiles in the face, and then had unprotected sex with him on a dirty couch in the basement of a mental institution (when she knew he was on drugs and could also be repossessed by the nogitsune at any moment). She comes into his room at night and leaves scratch marks on his back, bad enough for Scott to cringe when he sees them, and Stiles doesn't look or sound happy about it. Malia growls at him when the teacher called her up and he tries to be supportive, and he literally shrinks and looks hurt and almost scared of her. Stiles kept secrets from her, treats her like a dog that he's training, makes excuses for her, and so much more. Stiles should have serious PTSD from last season. The dude went through hell. But we really didn't see any of that this season, and I think that's because Malia is a way to distract himself from everything that happened to him and a way to push his issues aside. It's just a terrible relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I find it so funny how the show and people who ship Stalia play all the things wrong with them off as "cute" and "supportive". It just doesn't make sense. Malia punched Stiles in the face, said she wanted to kill him, growled at him in class, leaves scratch marks on his back that made Scott cringe, none of that is okay.
And Stiles kept huge secrets from Malia, dictates her actions, is basically "grooming" her into the person he thinks she should be. There's so much wrong with it!

    ReplyDelete
  176. So true. And what's worse is how the show and even the actors play it off as "cute," and viewers buy into it, and don't see all the issues and dysfunction in the relationship! It's terrible. At least with Delena, it's out in the open, people know about it and have become very vocal about their dislike for it. With Stiles and Malia, people aren't catching on.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Yes. That fact that so many young girls look up to this relationship and sees it as "healthy" and "ideal," literally makes me want to weep. It also doesn't help at all that the writers and actors are cosigning on this bullshit. It's sick.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Because they're disgusting. It’s definitely a problematic relationship. Neither Stiles nor Malia are in places emotionally where they should be in romantic relationships. Their hookup in the Eichen House where Stiles was posessed by an evil spirit and Malia having the brain of a child is a part of that. The imbalance of power on both ends, with the imbalance being hugely in Malia’s favor phsycially and hugely in Stiles’ favor emotionally and intellectually, is incredibly troubling. And the implied violence of their romantic relationship is incredibly problematic

That imbalance of power leads to a relationship where Stiles is basically playing parent and teach to Malia, and makes him responsible for her behavior. Physically, it puts Stiles at an unsafe disadvantage where, as we’ve seen, there is an uncertainty about how to act when uncomfortably about the violence in their sexual relationship. . (scratches his back and he feels uncomfotable about her sneaking into his room every night)

Both imbalances have the potential to be taken advantage of. Now, I think it would be completely out of character for Stiles to do that. But Malia is such an underwritten character that I really can’t say whether or not that’s the case for her.

And, unfortunately, none of these serious issues are addressed. They’re framed as cute. Which sends the dangerous message that if it’s a woman who’s the abuser/potential abuser, it’s cute or sexy. It sends the message that a man can’t be abused and a woman can’t be an abuser. It sends unhealthy messages about emotional health and relationships. It sends problematic messages about the imbalance of responsibility in relationship.

I would definitely say that writing Malia as a female character whose existence revolves entirely around a man, who has to depend on a man to know how to be “correct” certainly contributes to rape.

It’s abusive: I don’t care if Malia was angry, i don’t care if for some reason you think it’s okay for woman to hit men and act very aggressive towards them anyway you put it Stalia is fucking abusive.

“Malia hit him in the face because she was upset, and she didn’t know him” oh so that makes it okay?, so if i come up to you and straight up punch you in the fucking face for no good reason expect because i’m pissed off it’s totally fine because later on we can HOOK UP in the basement of a mental institute when you obviously are struggling and aren’t in the right state of mind. am i right?

Stalia is not only physically abusive it’s also extremely filled with mental and verbal abuse: and no i am not talking about when she ‘had no control’ because everything about that scene was stupid. i’m talking about the threats she makes towards him don’t give me that again idgaf if she’s upset with him there is no reason to do or say as she does. Stiles had a dream about being manhandled and threatened by here that stalia shippers and Jeff try to make off as cute and romantic. Did you not see stiles face? honestly what is it gonna take to turn you people off?

Malia is also very manipulative: which isn’t really a surprise i mean have you met her father? he is the king of manipulation. need i say more?

this ship is not at all healthy and it’s abusive, it’s toxic and to a lot of people it’s very triggering because somewhere in the past they had experienced something very similar.

delena IS very problematic but at least they are addressed as TOXIC unlike stalia whch is being forced down our throats as something "cute and innocent" when it's definitely NOT!!!

    ReplyDelete

  180. ^THIS. Is PERFECT.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Exactly. It's a very abusive relationship being played off as cute. If it's on purpose, and they make it clear that the relationship was wrong, then I'd by okay with it. But they (the show creators) genuinely seem to think the relationship is good and healthy and cute. It's just disturbing.

    ReplyDelete
  182. I actually stopped watching the show because of the fact that it was reminding me of stuff that i had gone through in my own life, stuff that i'd rather not relive. There were other reasons, like the writing overall just not being good anymore, but this was the last straw. It's very disturbing that Jeff doesn't seem aware (or he just doesn't care) how unhealthy it all is.

    ReplyDelete
  183. "Why is Malia there?" "Why is stalia on this list" Open your fucking eyes. She punched him, made out with the idiot he is when he was at his worst, threatned to "feel his bones crunch" or some shit like that, invaded his personal space a billion times, gROWLS AT HIM BECAUSE /SHE/ DOESN'T LIKE MATH, and jfc I can't type anymore I'm getting too worked up. This ship makes no sense, like wtf? If that was a real couple, all of you would question his sanity and shun her anyways. It's wrong. Any form of abusive coupling is WRONG.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Other. Klaus and Hayley.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Oh, this is so easy. Klaroline is a waste of time in a TV series. The worst pairing that has ever existed. She used him and he killed her friends. They should have first place. And second should definitely be Delena. I am so sick of that couple and they are really dysfunctional.

    ReplyDelete
  186. They were never together in the first place

    ReplyDelete
  187. I don't see how Stalia is dysfunctional either. It's bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  188. Caroline hates him and used him. Klaus killed people she cared about, What don't you understand?

    ReplyDelete
  189. Wow, so sorry to hear that! That's definitely some difficult stuff, and when a show starts portraying this type of thing it's hard to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Except for it's not bullshit. They screwed this relationship over the moment they decided to allow them to have unprotected sex in the basement of an institution, when one was on drugs and dealing with huge emotional trauma, and the other had spent her life as a coyote and was dealing with guilt from killing her family. Plus when one of their first interactions was Malia punching him in the face. This relationship has been tainted and dysfunctional literally since it began.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Stiles and Malia is literally an abusive relationship between a girl with the education level of an eight year old who lived rabidly in the woods for years and a teenage boy. Their relationship is packaged as 'quirky'.
