  1. I think being around another Australian actor is messing up Alex because I've noticed he's slipping more than usual.

Poor Danny. I'm glad Steve's there for him.

is the counterfeit storyline over? it seem to be they should have the whole team working on the case instead of just Steve, Danny and Jerry

Where is the Ohana!! Scott only coming once a month to shoot some scene's is hurting the show IMO! It was as if I was watching two different shows. Still don't know what to think of Ellie does every woman on this show need to be good in everything, well good to know she knows how to catch some fish Steve was impressed (Rolleyes)

  4. I liked that there were two mysteries and that everyone had something to do. As to Scott only working once a month, well that is his decision and I think everyone else is doing a great job. I like the new girl.

  5. Once a month? I advise you to see photos from the set, because you write stupidity ..

  6. Where is the ohana ?

  7. If you would actually pay attention to what was written above me, you would know that I was actually responding to what that person said. I don't know nor do I care if he is there everyday. I don't go looking at every freaking photo of anything from the set. I don't need to nor do I want to. So I don't like nor do I accept the insult.

  8. Loved the episode, excellent writing, fabulous performances all the way around!

  9. I thought it was a good episode.. I found it intriguing to have Steve and Danny off helping Jerry, while Chin, Kono and Grover worked the COTW. We've seen one team member working a case by himself from time to time, but never Steve and Danny together, and usually the team meets up at the end for some Ohana time. They kept the team apart for the whole episode - I wonder if this is leading up to some interesting moments in the big 100th ep next Friday?

  10. Some people really don't pay attention, do they? You are right, it is Scott's decision to be away from LA more this season of filming, but I actually think Scott is there 3 weeks (or close to that) a month and in LA the rest of the time. Most of the eps we've seen so far were filmed in July and August, when Scott was spending more time in LA after the birth of his daughter in July. The episodes were filmed out of order, with the premiere being the 3rd episode, I believe, to be filmed. Last year, Grace Park was missing from virtually the entire first half of the season due to giving birth to her son. This production is very good to it's actors, acknowledging their personal lives. Seems the least we can do as viewers is to be as understanding.

  12. It was a good episode but I'm still completely baffled about Danny's situation. After the end of the episode, two weeks ago, he kills that guy in cold blood without batting an eyelid. They've hardly mentioned it. It must just be me though.

  13. Although it's not the 1st time they have taken up 2 cases in one episode, but for me neither of the storyline was impactful enough, especially the jerry abduction case turned out to be completely anti-climatic.I don't like the team splitting up idea.Nice episode but could've a whole lot better!

You know the old saying "If something or someone seems to good to be true it's usually true". That's how I feel about Ellie.

  15. It must be kind of annoying for Alex to have to hide his accent when she doesn't have to.

  16. I loved the scene where Steve finds Danny by the sea and they talk about Danny's guilt. I hope the idea of Danny second-guessing himself is pursued further in the next episodes, it would be a change from Steve's usual PTSD.
As to the Australian girl - whose name I can't really remember yet - she seems fine but I really hope they continue to make her Steve's friend because this show is so boring when it becomes about romance. They more or less killed Katherine's characters when her storyline became wrapped around Steve's.
As far as Ohana is concerned I would love a really nice barbecue with the whole gang at Steve's, that would be awesome.

  17. peter lenkov SAID THERE WOULD BE AN EPISODE DEDICATED TO the aftermath of Columbia (sorry for the caps)...in time and we will see Danny explaining it to his family as well..so it ain't over

  18. He's playing an American..she's not…it's not a big deal.

  19. I hope it is before the mid-season finale and not after. This year they are messing up the order of the events. Why would they pick up the aftermath events at a time when no one cares by that time?Strange!

  20. You have to remember there are different writers for each episode and 8 days of pre-production to get through as well so it's quite possible the episode we wanted to air next wasn't written yet. Lenkov said on Twitter he was writing 5.11 which is when Danny deals with what happened. With an episode like that, you don't want to rush it and you want to ensure it gets put into production when Scott Caan is in hawaii. There's a lot of moving parts so as long as I get to see it at some point, I'm ok with waiting.

  21. My point is-the circumstances haven't changed much in these past year but you can see the quality drop from it's previous seasons-especially the 1st 3 seasons. From season 4,writing became incoherent and messy-one episode spectacular, the next one complete filler and vice versa. It's irritating. They need to find a way aroung their problems-it's making the very show they're working for, suffer!

    ReplyDelete
  22. You have a point...season 4 was too soap-opery for me. If they can stick to telling good stories with our characters background woven in, then it would work. I think they tried something new with the cliffhangers at the end of the eps and it worked for me because I couldn't wait for the next ep. But I found the premier over-the-top too (but I totally expect that from 5-0). YOu're right, they need to go back to good storytelling and the rest will follow.

  23. Head over to FanFiction! You would not believe how many "barbecue at Steve's" endings have been written! LOL!

  24. I fear you're going to be waiting for Danny's problems until after the Christmas break, at least. By looking at CBS' schedule, it appears that after the big 100th ep this Friday, there might only be two more new episodes before Christmas. (Lots of holiday specials happening on the Friday run to Christmas, and undoubtedly no new episodes on the days after Christmas and New Year's).

I don't see a Danny centric episode planned for either 5.08 or 5.09.
