  2. thought this wasn't coming because of the reviews, not that I hated the film though.

  3. Woah, I never saw Divergent because the previews really weren't all that great but I may have to change my mind on that. I have no idea what's going on but this teaser trailer for the sequel has definitely peaked my interest in starting the series.

  4. This is such a random scene to have as a trailer lol

  5. I really can't believe that out of the three YA series that where made in the past two years, this is the one that will actually continue...

  6. Maybe it's a stupid comment but I really don't like her hair in this (she cut them for TFIOS ?) Some people rocks with short hair but some just don't :s It's the most stupid thing but I'm sure it will annoy me during the movie :p

  7. LOL! it's not! some faces work with short hair, some don't. Her face just doesn't. Maybe it's not the hair cut but the hair style. I wouldn't know, since I'm not a fan of the actress I don't follow her so I haven't seen her wearing it different, but maybe in a different style it could work.

  8. Actually, the character of Tris also cuts her hair in the second book. So that's why her hair is also shorter in the movie. Shailene's hair was already longer than it was in TFIOS when they started shooting this movie, I believe.

However, Tris doesn't cut it this short in the book, that's just something they did for the movie. And I'm not sure if I like it either.

  9. Question! I haven't read the books but did Tris have short hair?

  10. I assume you also mean Vampire Academy and The Mortal Instruments? There was also The Maze Runner but that one was quite succesfull with a second movie coming next year.

I actually agree that series-wise the Divergent series is indeed the weakest, though. I was not a fan of the last two books (Allegiant...ugh). The later books in the VA and Shadowhunter series are much better.

However, if you look at the movies, Divergent was definitely the better one for general viewers. It was true to the book and made for an interesting movie for non-readers.

The CoB movie changed too much from the book, which made the movie too cliché, and the VA movie was too rushed for casual viewers to understand properly.

At least they're trying again with the Shadowhunter books. I hope the TV show works out. Also, the movie adaptation of Fallen is coming out next year. So that could also be a hit..

  11. I agree. It tells pretty much nothing about the story, it's just Tris' dream (I believe).

  12. Yes. She cut it in the second book. It's shorter in the movie than it was in the books though.

  13. I totally forgot about Vampire Academy! No, I was talking about TMI and Beautiful Creatures, which actingwise was the best. VA was pretty bad, though...
Yes, I suppose you're right. I'm probably biased because not only was this my least favourite series, but I absolutely hated the endind, so I'm just not looking forward to it.
I don't have high hopes for fallen, it's too twillight-y, but with angels... But I'm very excited about TMI TV show, I really hope it works this time around.

  15. I fell like the way they sold the movie was the right one, they didnt sell it like an epic love story like BC or TMI and i think that's what it got those two to flop. Plus they are using THG as a way to launch the movie an it ill have a huge boost.

  16. I looked up the story on wikipedia. I'm sad to say it goes down such a predictable path, with such a predictable ending that I won't be watching the rest of the movies. Which is a shame, because I like Shailene Woodley.

  17. The green screen and the CGI look really bad. But they have some months to work on that..

  18. I agree. I think audiences are a little tired of (supernatural) YA love stories and all the currently succesfull YA franchises (THD, Diverent, TMR) didn't focus on the romance or supernatural elements while the 'failed' movies (TMI BC, VA) did.

So that's also why I don't see the Fallen movie not succeeding.

  19. I dont like Divergent series i felt it's like a THG fanfiction but some people like it. I just wanna see the end cause i want to know if the rumours are true and they will change the book ending for the movie which i think it's the only thing interesting in the book.
Yeah these three THG, Divergent and TMR would've failed if they just went for the love part of it and not a whole.
While BC it is really a love story, their magic world is really interesting and they failed to show it same as TMI, i felt they failed to bring the interesting part of the book, for me CoB book is boring as hell but the next ones are quite interesting and in the movie they just put things here and there and changed so much that people just didnt care.
I really hope The Series work TMI is one of my favorites sagas and i want to at least see the end of CoG.

  20. aaah I didn't know that! I need to read those books ;)

  21. The first movie was a hot mess, but I'm still gonna watch this.

  22. I also really hope the TMI show works out. The world in those books is really interesting and would make an amazing show, if done right.

Also, I want to see the TID characters. Those books were even better than the TMI books imo!

  23. If you are able to read the books and you have the time, you should definitely read the first two books. They're pretty good. The third book is.. meh IMO. Some people like it, some peole don't.

Just don't get spoiled (seriously. It'll ruin the entire thing!) and keep an open mind when you get to the third book :)

There's also a collection of short stories which basically make up a prequel novel. Haven't read that one yet (I do own a copy though) but I've heard it's ok.

  24. At first the tv series was rumoured to be for TID if the movies were suscefull but how that didnt happen we got t see TMI.
To be honest i cant past the first book i haven finished it yet, i found it so boring i dunno why D: but everyone tells me those are the best but there is something that is not working for me.
