    #H50 I guess we needed a down episode after last week's crazy ride..this one was ok…I call it a filler.

    This episode did nothing for me. I understand not every episode can be a huge spectacle but I had to try my hardest to keep my attention towards the television. I don't know what is going on with Scott Caan, I read somewhere he can't balance family and work, but the heart of the show is Danno and McGarrett. He went from a regular to a guest star. The writers need to invoke the contract or something haha. Maybe I'm being too harsh but if this is where the season is going then I just don't know how I can sit through it.

    In episodes: 5x06, 5x07, 5x08, 5x09, 5x10, 5x11 certainly appears (now they shoot 11 episode), and he will definitely more.

    I'm sorry but this episode was boring! - i mean i wanted to see continuation of Danny's story - and Scott Caan wasn't even in this episode (Damn for me the real Hawaii 5-0 is when Danny is there with the team)
    Does anyone know what kind of job Scott has and why he is in the show soooo little this season???
    o and I'm not so fond of this Ellie-(for me they forced her in there right in front of Steve) i mean bring Lori back - it will be better!
    But on the other hand the next episode is looking VERY VERY GOOD- And Danny will be there and we will see him talking to Steve about Matt (I'm already very excited)

    I totally agree!! - i remember season 1,2, and 3 - where Danny and Steve were making me laugh so hard. They are the heart of the show. I hope Scott (Danny) comes back as regular because the show is missing a lot without him !! Fingers crossed

    I really hope she won't be a new love interest for Steve, I'd rather see him single than with anyone else than Catherine. He loves her so it would be stupid to give him a girlfriend few episodes after he said I love you to Cath!!! I mean they were together for almost 10 years, one way or another. Would make him unconsistent with his feelings.

    The episode was definitely a filler but was very well done,especially the background scores were beyond awesome! Only one major problem-why was danny absent following such a huge cliffhanger last episode.We all were waiting to see the aftermath & turns out he isn't even in the episode!Such a bummer!Without danny,The team looks incomplete and a little bland TBH.I'm not liking scott caan's sporadic absence since last season.He has to either make a way to work out a balance between his family and work or drop out completely.This hanging between thing is not working for me!BTW,i loved the introduction of ellie and i hope to see her sooner than later!

    Finally? It wasn't that long ago that Catherine left. I would be so disappointed if the writers didn't wait at least half the season before Steve showed any interest in someone else...Give the guy some breathing room!

    I know..they could have short a scene and put it at the beginning or the end. There's no way Steve wouldn't be with Danny at a time like this. He just wouldn't...

    If you give him a choice, he'll choose his family. We should be glad we have him for as many episodes as we do. He just had a baby, of course he wants to spend time with them and he should. I'm ok with Danny being absent in some episodes, the writers just need to find a way to balance the story lines better. After last week's ep, there should have been a scene to tie the episodes together - that's what was missing. When there's no talk at all about what happened, then you feel his absence more, particularly after such a Danny-centric episode. And they should have explained why Steve wasn't with Danny because he would have been for sure. There just needs to be ays to tie episodes together or explain absences better. Wading halfway through the ep to get Steve on the phone is just too late.

    He has charity commitments, he had a photography book coming out just 2 months prior to filming and his girlfriend just had a baby girl in July so mostly it is hard for him to fly back and forth from LA to Hawaii to do it. I have heard he is only filming scenes once a month now due to it

    Peter just tweeted earlier they are just friends nothing too serious is going to happen just don't jump to conclusions just because he held her hand when they dug up her father's grave.

    I thought it was a good episode I wouldn't call it a filler it was a piece of evidence that was in the 'Champ' box that was finally finished and I think this will lead up to the 100th episode also :)

    As being an Aussie myself was happy that this had an Aussie connection loved it!

    Maybe you're right.But the truth is i never watch any cop procedural and i made an exception for this show as it showed steve and danno's relationship so well,now there is hardly any scenes between them nor any bromance.The anemic ratings isn't helping my case either.The episodes since season 4 are individually good but incoherent if you see it back to back.It's starting to irritate me a little bit.

    Love interest didn't cross my mind when watching it,i thought that since she knew his farther he would feel a kinship with her.Then when her brothers storyline came into the mix it just added to the overall friendship that was being set up...but that ending with holding hands and car interaction had me raise a brow,lol... Could still be just friends which i hope. IMO its too soon for Steve to be starting another relationship,imo of course!

    I was torn between Michael Vaughn/Lauren Reed, Jack & Claire/"People Like Us", but considering she said she wanted to see him sooner rather than later, seems to imply she's interested in him...

    Agreed it wasn't a filler. I'm happy they are exploring and tying in the evidence that is in the tool box,....but. What Steve did and what happened was so dramatic it should have continued into last nights episode at least for part of the episode then have him go off and be with his family. I think they dropped the ball on this one. It was a good episode,it just left me unsatisfied because of Danny.

    I was expecting more of Danno this week after last weeks explosive ending but I was kind of disappointed. I don't get why he disappears all the time. I understand he wants less work but why can't they have a couple of scenes in each ep. I thought there was hardly any of Kono or Grover this time either.

    I liked the episode because Alex is my favourite, but they should have had a scene at the beginning with Steve driving Danny to the airport to fly back to New Jersey. A phone call just isn't enough.
    I like Ellie, and I hope she will become more than a friend much further down the line, when the Catherine situation is resolved.
