For me its the scene where Klaus and Hayley finally have a conversation about their kid. Finally is all I have to say. I hope to see more about this. Hopefully someone will get a clue and start delving into this mystery as to how this could happen....why this vamp and this wolf....

  2. Mikael vs. Elijah

    screw this Klayley ship sh*t

  3. Same here on the Klaus and Hayley scenes. It was nice to get some conversation between them. Losing (even temporarily) a child isn't easy to handle. And it's a nice step for Klaus in terms of character development. I like how they're platonically leaning on each other for support.

  4. My #1 fave has to be Kaleb/Kol whining about his nasty forehead scar. Leave it to Kol to worry about the important stuff lol.

I did chuckle during this scene. He has not had a scar in 1000 years. lol

  8. What about the Hamlet scene?

  9. The fight was very good. I liked watching Elijah's face when he saw Mikael. Kol complaining about the scar was pretty funny too. Hayley and Elijah scenes are boring and I don't like them as a couple.

  10. Everything with Nate as Kol offcourse!!

  11. THE FLASHBACKS WERE THE BEST BECAUSE OF KOL/NATE!!

  12. yeah, well Hayley just isn’t working for me and all this link they’re trying to create between her and Klaus is nauseating to watch for me.

i dont think it's just because the shippery moments they recently gave them (even though we all know they are just baits for the klayley fandom). it's more like PT has absolutely no chemistry with any of her cast members, and especially when it comes to JM her chemistry with him is atrocious. besides, it's incredibly OOC for Klaus not to kill Hayley since she is basically liability now to all of them.
TBH, I was rooting for Francesca like crazy because she is more of a "queen" than Hayley ever was or ever could be. It is incredibly disheartening that they’re still sacrificing other characters for the sake of Hayley (and even more disheartening that it’s now Klaus who’s biting that bullet), but it’s possible that the writers realized what a failed idea propping Hayley up was and decided to change course after the summer break. I mean fuck, really their only option at this point is to get rid of her for good, but that’s obviously not going to happen so they need to at least do something to limit the damage that her character does to the show.

  13. I loved Kol and Elijah's priceless faces when they saw Mikael, that right there is something I won't ever forget as why I love TO too much!

I take it you don't like Pheobe...?

She is not that bad for me....The chemistry angle....I had not thought of that in a while...I personally don't think she is that bad. IMO - right now she could do with a sandwich....needs to keep her accent in check - but that is editing and direction and continuity.

My whole thing is....why go on about this stuff....she is a main character, who is now integral to the story line, so she is not going anywhere. Its time to start dealing.

  15. Definitely my favourite.

  16. Loved all the Kol scenes, but Hamlet takes the award.

Totally not about the Hayley and Elijah as a couple. But its early days yet, perhaps the writers will see the error of their ways.

As you know, I am all about the baby, so objective achieved where the super baby is concerned with this fan! :) I am also all in for the baby mama drama. (**she chuckles**)

My take away from your post is that you want to see more Originals. I hear you and agree that the conception of the show needed them from the onset. However, that is not what happened....so we have to deal as viewers. An entire season has passed....we can't go back to the beginning and start anew....they can only hope for another season and address the issues....which I think TPTB are doing.

I do hear you on the integration of Hayley as a character into the fold of the Original family. I feel that there was an ingredient missing in this integration. Part of it has to do with the way that TPTB depict women in general on the show. Its a problem. More cogent and independent women are needed on the show.

Another issue, is that many fans and viewers from TVD can't forgive the character for the transgressions the character made on TVD. The show needed to address this, and make the redemption more believable for those viewers. I get that folks feel that just by the sheer fact of having a baby does not redeem the character's actions of what took place on TVD. In essence, fans felt that Hayley as a character did not atone for her actions on TVD.

But here's the thing....this may still come. So fans, IMO, have to chill. Also - TVD and TO are not the same show. They are telling two different stories, so I believe that the writers or TPTB should be given a bit of slack to tell the story of the Originals and not Elena and gang.

  20. i'm usually quite optimistic about everything, i believe that things will eventually turn out good BUT when it comes to The Originals i'm rather pessimistic because i feel i've lost all my trust towards the writers after everything they'd done in the first season. i can't remember a show where i felt so many times as disappointed as i felt watching TO. i was disappointed because i had completely different - higher - expectations in regard to the show BUT RIGHTFULLY. I remember a lot of interviews that they gave just before the series beginning and most of them were about crossover opportunities, the Mikaelson's possible reunion, about how they will not just forget about their past they had in TVD - including certain ships like Klaroline, Klefan, Kalijah, Mabekah...etc. They had 22 episodes to show any of these YET none of these promises were kept. NONE.
So why should i have faith now that things will get better when they ignored the audience's wishes for a whole year? I mean just look at those ratings, especially after Rebekah's departure. Terrible.

I hear what you are saying. I too have gripes with the show. But I realize that the TPTB are trying to tell a story and as such everything they planned at the onset may not be able to transpire the way in which some viewers think they should. Takes time, heart and faith in some instances, on our part as viewers.

I for one am a bit miffed that the show is of the teen variety, when they made the claim that it was going to be more adult. I also am miffed that the parents of the super baby don't actually talk about the loss, aspirations...etc of their said child (this IMO would help with the adutification of the show). As well, I am miffed over the fact that the Original family are coming back in new bodies and slow to hit the screen in full, from season one to season two. But I get all of this, as TPTB had to create the backstory for new viewers of how all of this came to pass.

Ah well, I FLOVE this show, and refuse to be disheartened over the way that the TPTB choose to tell the story. The story may not be told in the way that I would prefer, but I am glad that it is still being told. :)

  22. well, i dont feel the same way as you so i simply quit it right after rebekah's departure. i tune in for episodes like 2.02 because of Nate and my curiousity about the "new" originals but all those spoilers, sneak peeks and promos full of Hayley really turned me down so for now i don't watch it, just maybe the scenes i'm interested about. i'll watch 2.05 because of Tatia but i'm preparing myself for the worst... i dont like how these writers write their female characters

Hey, no need to feel the same as me....I am a tv fanatic, I watch shows even though they are HORRIBLE. Its like reading for me....once I start a bad book, I can't stop -- no matter how bad. So by no means use me as the meter stick. I am the worst television watcher.

I am just not personally invested in Hayley the character to care enough about whether she is on the show or not. It does not impact my enjoyment. I am the very worst television watcher.....if I don't like something....I fast forward....or wash dishes, until the part and or people I don't like are removed from my screen.

The whole woman aka sexism on the show....that is very bothersome to me. I know that this is part of the industry -- Hollywood that is. I just wish we could send an organized message to the network to let them know where we stand. Mind you it is also about racism in my book and how women and people of color are treated on screen and the types of roles that they get. --- But that is a rant for another day! Let's keep vigilant on writing about these things on the shows that we watch. :)
