Thanks to buffnfaith for the heads up.

The search for that female lead continues. According to sources, eight actresses were invited to read for creator Nic Pizzolatto on Thursday: Rosario Dawson, Kelly Reilly, Jessica Biel, Malin Akerman, Abigail Spencer, Oona Chaplin, Jaimie Alexander and Brit Marling. I hear all but Reilly, who was in New York, made it (though some might have been eyed for another female role on the show). Rachel McAdams also continues to be mentioned, though she appears to have a scheduling conflict with a movie, with Keira Knightley‘s name also entering the mix.

  2. Not sure how Abigail would do this what with Rectify, unless the film schedules are completely different and they could be but I would love her to do both. And I don't have a problem with KK she has grown on me a lot in recent years.

  5. I'm still pulling for Brit Marling. She is so amazing but flies right under the radar.

  6. Keira? Whoah. I did not expect this big a star to even be in conversation. Hopefully she'll accept this role.
