DAY 9! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)
Round 1 has been and gone. Both episodes of Breaking Bad were eliminated, which was reasonably surprising (though not too surprising, due to the number of fans on the site compared to other shows). Some other reasonably big episodes have also gone out: Person of Interest's season finale ('Deus Ex Machina'), Mad Men's 'The Strategy', The Americans' 'Echo', The Walking Dead's 'The Grove' and (unsurprisingly) How I Met Your Mother's series finale.
Now, for some, this may be seen as a bad thing for the competition, because a lot of the 'best' episodes have gone out. I will keep emphasising this point: This is not a competition to find the best episode of the past year. That is impossible when pitched to the internet. Fanbases will always win out, and that's OK. This competition will find SpoilerTV's fans' favourite episode of the past year, not the best.
With that in mind, let's move on to Round 2...
The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly.
Both episodes of The Mentalist feature today, with 'Blue Bird' taking on Once Upon a Time and 'My Blue Heaven' facing NCIS. Elsewhere, we also have The Vampire Diaries' 'Home' against The 100's 'Twilight's Last Gleaming', and finally Reign's 'Left Behind' against Game of Thrones' 'The Lion and the Rose'.

ReplyDeleteHow have I missed out on 8 days of this competition!! I swear I check SpoilerTV every day and missed this somehow!! Voted Vampire Diaries and Reign because those are the only shows I watch =P I've taped The 100 but haven't seen it yet.

I know that you're not supposed to say that, but man, people here may be 15 but they have the same taste as my grandmother. Come on, take risks, try to watch shows that are out of your comfort zone, enjoy being challenged by what you watch instead of settling for bland, harmless programs.
I sorta did. Breaking Bad doesn't have a massive fan base on the site.
