  1. Couldn't follow all of the annoying metaphors. I don't know if they're together or not because it was so damn vague!

  2. The ending has me a bit confused, like I didn't quite grasp what it meant when Deeks gave Kensi her knife back?
And omg are you freaking kidding me another box in the box?! GAAAHHH

same here a little confused... But Deeks smiled so I guess it's a go. And the granger and Hetty scene makes me think Deeks and Kensi ARE starting their relationship.

  4. This is my guess. I think the boxes were a metaphor for the three hearts from Kensi to Deeks. Kensi opened the first box for Deeks as it represented her first heart. Deeks found inside a second unopened box being Kensi's second heart. From Hetty's point of view, the first opened box represented the end while the second unopened box represented the beginning, meaning the end of the beginning of Kensi and Deeks personal relationship. When Deeks opens the second box, maybe its contents will represent Kensi's third heart.

Now the part about Deeks giving back Kensi's knife was more vague for me. Maybe Deeks accepting Kensi's knife was his first heart to her. It was Deeks's way of letting Kensi know he will be waiting for her to return. Maybe Deek's returning the knife to Kensi was his second heart reaffirming the fact that although he isn't ready to completely open up to Kensi yet, he hasn't waivered in his promise to be by her side as her partner regardless if they chose to proceed with a personal relationship or not. Kensi has opened up to Deeks by telling him he is her "frozen lake". When Deeks feels the time is right and he completely opens himself to Kensi, then that will be his third heart.

That's about three or four too many metaphors for my liking.

  5. So here is what I think. I think like others thought that the boxes represent the three hearts of Kensi and when he opens that next box it'll be something very special to them both or something Kensi hasn't told anyone. Now knife at first appeared as if Deeks wasn't ready but then came the Raccoon line. I think that he is saying that she's his soulmate. I think the knife was something very important to Kensi and Deeks kept it sharp and in perfect condition while she was in Afghanistan. I think he was essentially saying that he doesn't need the knife anymore because he has her back as a partner. I thought what they did was amazing to be honest. It was inching their relationship forward ever so slightly. I see a lot of the Caskett getting together in this Kensi and Deeks storyline. Both shows are being meticulous and realistic. I never watched NCIS but twitter told me that Densi is light years ahead of anything Tiva ever was but of course I could be wrong.

  6. The Raccoon line could equally be that Kensi has already mated with Jack and mates are for life.

But let's face it, the whole scene was just tiresome. In fact, pretty much every Deeks and Kensi scene in this ep was tiresome 'will they, won't they' crap. I don't overly care if they do or they don't but this 'drama' doesn't really have anything on the playful flirting and witty banter of old.

  7. I really have no idea what the ending meant but, I took it to mean that nothing was going to happen. My heart broke :(

  8. I love their story together but the writters need to stop with so many metaphors... it's pointless and confusing. I would prefer a real and normal convo at the end, that would actually explain where do they go from here.
I actually read it as Deeks "breaking up" with her, or at least not wanting to act on their thing (but what do I know?? that ending was just confusing!), which actually doesn't fit his personality and the way he always was with Kensi. Also, I do not understand how he/they think that not having a relationship will actually be better or safer. I mean, they will still be each others' priority because they have feelings for each other, especially when they already slept together. "Not dating" won't change that.
