    This is tough since while I miss a number of cancelled/ completed series I think they ended

    when they should have or have no more to tell.

    Some shows like Smallville, Scrubs Heroes and Prison Break ran on for tooooo long.

    Shows like LOST, Farscape,The X Files, Kyle XY and Chuck all had their times and I'm not sure I would want more of them despite enjoying the series when they were on the air.

    Some shows that I enjoyed really never caught on, but honestly I'm not sure more time would have improved them at all. Shows like The Event , Flash Forward, Pushing Daisie, V, Moonlight, and Drive.

    Other shows like Terra Nova, Secret Circle, Ringer, Caprica, and The Cape were just bad in either design and/ or execution...

    Of the shows listed above I really would only want more of Boston Legal and Alcatraz. The former was one of the best written shows on TV and always filled with fun performances by its annually Emmy nominated cast. The latter was a mess, but I liked the concept and hoped the show could have found its footing if it were renewed.

    I would add these shows to the list since I would lovee to see more episodes....

    Yeah, that's about it! I love Gilmore Girls so much, but luckily we see Lauren Graham a lot. X-Files was always great and I can't wait for "The Fall" with Gillian Anderson next year!

    I chose 4 recent shows that I loved, yet were cancelled with big cliffhangers. V, Heroes, Flashforward and The Event. I also wanted Scrubs to continue as I actually liked season 9, and I liked Terra Nova and wanted that to continue. I was tempted to tick LOST, but I wouldn't like a continuation, but more of a spin off, like the Roussoue years, or a Sawyer and Miles cop drama.

    LOST!!!! without a doubt. omg i miss it so much. actually been rewatching it all over again and its just so good! i miss tv like lost.

    i would also vote for heroes but its last few seasosn were too bad for it to deserve my vote. i know which shows that are ending i want back already and thats fringe and community (yes, i know community isn't cancelled but i can see it coming and i'm dreading it)

    but LOST! bring it back!!!

    alot of these others shows i do still want to get around to watching such as firefly, the x files, dark angel and smallville just to name a few

    Pushing Daisies and Prison Break (although I don't see how it could come back with Michael dead, but still, I miss the show...), but most of all, Veronica Mars !!!! Us fans have been waiting for that VM movie for too long ! This show was awesome, it's such a shame it got cancelled

    Last episode of Gilmore Girls wasn't good at all and I wished there was a better series finale. I hated the end of Veronica Mars. They should have renewed the series :(

    Firefly, V, and Moonlight, I wish they never got cancelled. And I wish USA network never cancelled The 4400 - that was an awesome show (in my opinion). Oh, and I know this just ended this year but, I'd like to have Eureka back in some way.

    Definitely would love to see Alex O'Loughlin as Mick on "Moonlight"..great show..the writers' strike caused that cancellation. Would also like to see "The Pretender", "Profiler" and "Sisters" back, although I am sure they would not be the same without the original casts. Maybe even the 1st "Beauty and the Beast" with Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman, although I do like the current version also.

    I liked The 4400 too.
    Very interesting series for the first 3 years, but I did not like the direction of the last season or two and I'm not sure I would want more if they kept in that direction.... Although it would have been nice to see how it all played out!!

    Lost: - I think it would be neat to have a film, comic series, or a mass online game that explores an alternate reality (or iteration of the Island that could provide new truths/insights into the series)

    Alcatraz - I think if it wouldn't have been for Fringe negations, trying to introduce already hard to keep science fiction mid season, not giving it a full season order, and not getting to Rebecca's more personal story a little sooner, it would have been a fantastic series. I think it would be nice to have comics just to flesh out/finish the season 1 arc, however I think there are some Alcatraz ideas that have spilled over into Revolution. I think Bad Robot will ultimately in the end leave no stone unturned in one way or another.



    Caprica - Much too short lived and what they had planned for second season sounded cool! -But I'm hoping Blood and Chrome would have drawn enough attention to get another webisode order and that some of those ideas could get exposed in Blood and Chrome.


    Firefly - Again much too short. I think it would be nice if they could at least give us some more movies.


    Alias - I think it would be neat to have a movie and see what the characters that are left are up to in the future and if SDR was able to find/use more Rambaldi stuff...If Jack and Sloane are really gone...

    Rubicon. Everything else had a decent ending. Agree with the ideas of spinoffs. I'd like to see a new Lost, with Hugo as the protector and featuring guest appearances from Ben (if he can get some free time from POI). A new group would come, but it's not because Hugo forced the plane to crash or ship to wreck. And they all know they died, but they have to get along with each other.

    I liked Moonlight a lot. It was ridiculous that they cancelled it then the networks come out with all kinds of vampire and supernatural shows. Plus, fictional Buzzwire was akin to TMZ. To cancel it was lame.

    Dead like me was definitely one of my all-time favorite shows and there were soooo many possibilities for it to continue even in a vein of having a new cast every season as the old reapers got taken away and new ones were brought in...i still hate showtime to this DAY for cancelling that show.

    Pan Am and also GCB. I adored both shows and wish ABC had given them a chance.

    The Finder- Although not a great series it was good,and given half a chance it would have made another season or two.It was finding its footing and the ratings were going up when cancelled all too soon.
    Same with Firefly,another series cancelled much to soon.

    Jericho- I wish it had another season i would have loved to have seen how everything turned out.

    Rubicon- Another show gone too soon,i would have loved another season,just to see where it could have gone!

    I would love a 2 hour Farscape movie,but that will never happen..

    Jericho: I really wanted to see the end of the war and where Jake would end up, who'd he be with.

    Kyle XY: Really mixed feelings here. The end of Season 1 and all of Season 2 was awesome. But I hated Season 3 (wish I could forget it) but only because of the episode where Kyle gets drunk (I was throughly maddened by the fact he was getting drunk while Adam was dying- plus why suddenly kill Adam off [again] like that off screen when last we knew he was healing and had left town?) and the brother storyline (Didn't make sense at all for Kyle to have a brother, at least not blood-related, and why was that necessary to bring in a brother?). Otherwise, all other stories could have been fixed if they'd had a Season 4. (Or maybe just re-write Season 3 lol )

    Terra Nova: I loved watching this show. It was interesting and I like dinosaurs. Would have been great if they'd had a few more episodes to give a well-wrapped ending.

    Moonlight: I wish we'd had at least a few more episodes to see more Mick and Beth now they were together and to wrap the storyline of the FBI guy having the vampire list. A whole season preferably cause of the cure storyline. (A book would be better than nothing too- is that too much to ask?)

    Dark Angel: Would have loved a proper on screen finish of all the loose ends of the story on that show, but it's been so long. :I

    I couldn't agree more with you. This was just one of the best TV-shows ever, it had so much potential! There were so many unanswered questions. I don't understand how it got cancelled. To be fair, I'm not from the US and started watching way after it was already cancelled, so I don't understand even less why... did it air Sundays at 11pm or what?!

    I thought of two more, Awake and Missing! Awake definitely could have gone another season or two depending on how they played it.

    And Missing,how could they end the show with the mother getting kidnapped! I couldn't believe they left it hanging like that. At least make a 2 hour movie,to give it an ending..

    I think if that showed aired this season instead of last season it would have been renewed.To bad they were so quick to cancel it.I know they were floundering trying anything but instead of helping themselves out of that mess they made it worse..till this season of course and with the help of The Voice and Grimm..

    Generally, I think once some shows end they should be allowed to fade and I'll just shore myself up with DVD re-watches. :-) My list is: Firefly, Dark Angel, The Finder, Moonlight, and GCB is my 'Other' option. GCB was a show that, IMHO, was just beginning to find it's footing. It was really funning and turning in to a great ensemble comedy. I really thought ABC should have given it some time.

    edit: DARN! I missed Ringer when I was going through the list the first time.... I want to pick Ringer instead of Moonlight.

    Flashforward, V, Terra Nova, The Secret Circle, Brothers and Sisters. Prison Break is the first series I fell in love with and one I hold dearly, and Lost is my favorite show of all time, but they both ended perfectly, so no vote from me. Brothers and Sisters deserved a proper ending, so that gets my vote. The other four were series that, despite a number of flaws, I was very sad to see canceled so early on during their runs because they had a lof of potential.

    I wasn't even aware that D. Lindelof came from there! And i didn't realize CJ wasn't out on DVD,but Netflix has season 1 thru 7 on their streaming service. Its funny,the other night i started watching CJ again! :)

    Even though I have watched other series on this list and wouldn't mind seeing them continue, one in particular, there is only one that I am actively involved in getting revived, and that is Kyle XY. Never before have I felt so strongly about the value of a series that I have actually become involved in saving it. No other series has changed me to the point where someone actually commented on the positive change not knowing the reason why. The series has effected other people around the world in the same way. Because of Kyle XY's ability to inspire people to become better people, it has the potential to change the world in a positive way. For those of you who have not seen Kyle XY I highly recommend it. Maybe you will be one of those people whose life is transformed by this inspirational and enlightening series that makes you think about how the world (universe, life) works and how we effect it with our thoughts and actions.

    Yes, I understand what you mean about season 3 of Kyle XY, though I still love it anyway. And I understand what you mean about the episode in which Kyle gets drunk; it was so out of character for Kyle. However, there are lessons in everything in Kyle XY, which is one of the reasons I love it. It teaches lessons without being preachy. Like you I was also angry at Kyle for getting drunk and missing his chance to say good-bye to Adam. But perhaps that was the point. By making a stupid decision like getting drunk, we can miss something that we could regret for the rest of our life. Also I too was saddened that Adam was killed off, though I can understand what the reason probably was in doing so, to show how the teachings of the mentor live on in his pupil, though I personally don't think it was necessary to have Adam die since I would have loved to see him more (and don't think he will be brought back from the dead a second time). As for the brother story line, it makes sense that Kyle has a brother since he has a biological father and learn who his biological mother is in the last few seconds of season 3. That was something I had always wondered about and thought it strange that Kyle never questioned this if he had a biological mother. Since I don't think Adam had anything to do with Kyle's brother's creation, which I think came about in the normal way (though a fellow Kyle XY fan/friend thinks he is another pod person), we don't know who Kyle's half-brother's father is, which may also come into play, now that I think of it, when the series returns, which the united fans are working to accomplish.

    It's too bad that you have never seen Kyle XY because I think you would probably love it. Of all the people I have gotten to watch it only one didn't finish because she didn't like episode's 2 refrigerator scene. Two people I have introduced to the series are watching now so I will see what their verdict is when they finish. Everyone else has loved it. Currently the fans are streaming it on Netflix as part of the campaign to revive so now would be a great time to give it a try there. It would be wonderful to hear your reaction once you have.

    For Adam, it's not that I did not expect him to die permanently sometime, but rather that the last episode he was seen he was healing, the next on his death bed.


    I still don't think the brother thing was necessary, still don't like it.


    As for the whole teaching lessons thing, it's more important to me that the characters aren't twisted around just for the sake of drama and a lesson. They could have easily had something else bad happen to show drinking was bad.

    Unfortunately, it is the case in real life that people who are healing have set backs and do die, and Foss reported to Kyle that the stress of moving to avoid Latnok had been taxing on Adam's health so Adam's death is not unfeasible, though I would have loved to see Adam overcome that stress..
    As for the lessons thing, maybe that was the whole point -- that character becomes more twisted with each negative choice we make. For me that started in the very first episode in season 3 when Kyle decides to go along with Jessi in the use of violence. Then he continues to devolve throughout the rest of season 3 until he is about to commit the action most in contradiction to his true self. And perhaps that is why the brother thing comes into play. We are all brothers and sisters, and Kyle is going back in evolution as far as he could possible go, killing his own brother. All Kyle XY fans know that Kyle could never really go through with this act though. So it is my hope to see in season 4 not only Kyle realizing Nicole was right that he had changed, but realizing she was right that the change was not for the better. It is my hope that when the show returns, it will dispel the negative cliffhanger with which it ended and will give people hope by showing that a highly evolved soul can fall, realize it, and then return to the true higher self.
