The Rookie goes undercover and international in this week’s episode. Lucy (Melissa O’Neil) and Nyla (Mekia Cox) go to Mexico to solve a murder while Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Miles (Deric Augustine) deal with a surveillance mission.
A lot of time passes in “Baja” but it does not feel too rushed…though the jumps are jarring. Grey and Miles find surprising partnerships, careers are in danger and Tim has to wear an interesting outfit.

Both characters give it their all when it comes to undercover work and this one is personal. There are some touches of backstory.
