SpoilerTV Article WednesdayNevermore Academy is about to reopen its gates, and chaos is once again lurking in every dark corner. Netflix has just unveiled the official trailer for Wednesday Season 2, teasing a twisted new chapter for everyone’s favorite death-obsessed teenager.
The second season of the smash hit series will arrive in two parts, with Part 1 premiering on August 6 and Part 2 following on September 3. In the trailer, Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams returns to the eerie halls of Nevermore—though she prefers to call it “the scene of the crime.” Despite being crowned the “savior of Nevermore,” she seems unimpressed by the title and even less thrilled by the attention.
But things take a darker turn when Wednesday begins having ominous visions that hint at a deadly fate for her roommate and closest ally, Enid (Emma Myers). With danger rising again, Wednesday may find herself forced into the role of reluctant hero for a second time.
And that’s not all—Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) seems desperate to keep the past from repeating itself, while Grandmama (played by the iconic Joanna Lumley) arrives at Nevermore with mischief and mayhem in tow. As for the haunting organ music underscoring the trailer? Yes, that’s The Phantom of the Opera—because nothing screams "Addams Family drama" quite like gothic theatrics.
The Season 2 cast lineup is stacked with returning favorites and intriguing newcomers. Alongside Ortega and Myers, the ensemble includes Steve Buscemi as the mysterious new Principal Dort, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Victor Dorobantu as the beloved Thing.
New additions include Owen Painter as Slurp, Billie Piper as the enigmatic Isadora Capri, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Rita Santiago, Noah B. Taylor as Bruno, Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, and Luis Guzmán reprising his role as Gomez Addams.
With fresh threats, old secrets, and more macabre humor than ever, Wednesday Season 2 promises to be a spine-tingling return to the strange and shadowy world that fans can’t get enough of.
Mark your calendars—Nevermore is calling.
