As per Deadline

The WGA members have voted overwhelmingly (97%) to authorize a strike if a fair deal for a new film and TV contract isn't reached by May 1. The guild's Pattern of Demands includes increased minimum compensation, standardized compensation and residual terms, pension plan and health fund increases, and measures to combat discrimination and harassment. The last strike authorization vote in 2017 was approved by 96.3% of voters.
