Legacies - All's Well That Ends Well - Review

This week on Legacies, a banshee shows up proclaiming Landon’s death (what else is new) and it tries to take Cleo. They find out Cleo is a muse. Lizzie tries to play matchmaker for Josie and Finch but then learns that Finch is a werewolf, which she doesn’t tell Josie. MG and Ethan try to fight crime but MG nearly gets attack by Finch. Ethan saves the day. The creepy masked dude takes hair samples from Hope and Landon.

Disaster waiting to happen: Don’t get me wrong. I’m enjoying the new friendship between MG and Ethan. But this is what happens when you mix superpowers with two guys who have read too many comic books. They want to fight crime. And while everything’s going well for now, if you ignore MG nearly getting mauled by a werewolf, we all know they’re going to screw up eventually. One of them, probably Ethan, is going to get hurt.
I’m more confused than ever: Great, Landon is in danger again. Truly refreshing to see such an original storyline. I’m more convinced now than ever that Landon is in fact split between a human version very much in love with Hope, and a Phoenix version that does not remember her. Mark my words, the human version will die and there will be lots of angst with Phoenix boy. But why does he need locks of their hair? That part was just plain weird. I think he was trying to use Cleo to get to Malivore, but the hair part confused me.

Why lie? I get that Lizzie wants to protect Josie. But lying about Finch seems like a really bad idea. One that’s going to come back to bite her. Remember how angry Josie was when Lizzie didn’t tell her Penelope was leaving? This will probably be worse. I have to say, I was surprised to learn Finch was a werewolf, definitely did not expect that. But it explains why she’s so quick to anger. But Lizzie and Josie were finally in a good place. I fear that this is going to ruin it.

Plot holes: Remember when it took Tyler hours to turn into a wolf. What happened to that? Yes, with experience it goes faster but not 5 minutes. Finch turned so quickly. Hope turned back in 2 seconds with clothes on. And then there was Lizzie making herself invisible without drawing power from something first. Does anyone else feel like the writers have just given up?

Please no: I can already tell that the writers are heading for a love triangle with Cleo, Kaleb, and Jed. I don’t think any of us actually wants that, though. The friendship between Kaleb and Jed was finally great to watch. Hell, most of us would rather have Kaleb and Jed get together.
My eyes: Okay, something has been pissing me off all season and I have to get it off my chest. What is with the ridiculous lighting this season? It’s never been great before but they seem to be going out of their way to add strange colors in scenes. Why was everything at the school so yellow? And then the scenes in Hope’s room at night were way greener than they needed to be. As an editor… stop it!

Best quotes: Lizzie: “That because, sweetie, and I love you, but you have zero game.”
Hope: “It might not be as bad as it seems.” *scream* “Probably as bad as it seems.”

That’s it for this week. Check in again two weeks from now for an all-new review and let me know in the comments what you thought of this week’s episode.

Please be respectful in the comments, any unnecessary rudeness isn't welcome.
