Young Sheldon will be back on Big Little Lies.

Actor Iain Armitage, who's gone on to star in the top launch of the 2017-18 broadcast season since appearing on the HBO series, is among the latest (and final) crop of stars set to return for the second season.

Armitage, James Tupper and Jeffrey Nordling have all closed their deals to return, joining previously announced cast members Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, ZoĆ« Kravitz and Adam Scott — rounding out much of the primary cast. (The only big addition named thus far, and it's as big as they get, is Meryl Streep.)

Tupper returns as Nathan Carlson, who must cope with a complicated turn of events in his marriage and with his eldest daughter Abby. Nordling is back as Gordon Klein, who faces the consequences of a big mistake and risks losing everything along the way. Armitage will reprise his role as Ziggy Chapman, who starts second grade and continues to be the light of Jane’s life.

Adam Scott has closed a new deal with HBO to reprise his role as Ed Mackenzie in season two of Big Little Lies.

Season two of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series will explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode … the potential for emotional and bodily injury shall loom. Scott's Ed will be forced to confront major challenges in his marriage to Madeline (Witherspoon) in season two.

Streep will play the Mary Louise Wright, the mother to Perry (Alexander Skarsgard). Casting is also underway for Bonnie's (Kravitz) father, sources say, among other new roles for season two. Skarsgard is also expected to return in some capacity, despite Perry's fate in season one.
