Riverdale’s filler episodes are over. With only three episodes left, the show is heading to an intriguing ending. To Riverdale and Back Again is the classic Homecoming dance episode: the gang is getting ready for this occasion, but the murder mystery is getting everyone attention. Let’s summarize what happened in this episode.

Alice is sure that F.P. is guilty of Jason’s murder and she invites him and Jughead for dinner. At the same time, she convinces Veronica and Archie to try to search F.P.’s place in order to find proofs that he is guilty. I am in love with this season’s mystery: the writers didn’t reveal too much, and also created a series of possible killers. At the moment, it’s almost impossible to have a clear idea of who killed Jason Blossom and Riverdale succeeded in deceiving the viewers.

Betty doesn’t know what to do: she doesn’t want to disappoint Jug and she also doesn’t want to help her mother’s quest and in the end, she has to face the consequences of their actions. Polly is drugged by Jason’s mother after she discovers that the family ring is still in the house. Cheryl is becoming more and more ambiguous, she is the darkest character of the show and I can’t wait to find out what’s is up to.

The prom reveals also the new secret Rendez-Vous: Archie and Veronica sing together and Betty starts to understand that something is going on between these two. Fred, Hermione and Archie’s mom go out together and Alice tries to create troubles between them. I really enjoyed how they are developing step by step these new storylines: the newborn chemistry between Ronnie and Archie feels genuine and it will likely be at the center of season two. I also love how they developed the mother-daughter relationship between Hermione and Veronica: their bond is strong and sweet.

All in all, this episode was a great hour of television. The storylines came together in the end, the rhythm was perfect and I am totally addicted to the show. I can’t wait to watch the last two episodes.
