Some interesting trains of thought continue on from last week's episode into this week's episode, including young peoples' choices to engage in violent acts and further push the envelope on when these acts may begin to defeat their own purpose.

For the Bowmans, it's no surprise that Katie (Sarah Wayne Collins) finds herself connected back with the resistance, as she now asks Broussard (Tory Kittles) for a favor and, as for Will (Josh Holloway), his leash becomes slightly looser when Bennett (Christian Clemenson) assigns him and Burke to go looking for a young woman named Frankie (Lyndon Smith). Each of their paths however leads to more startling revelations of an existential nature.

Viewers continue to follow Bram (Alex Nuestaedter) too, as the young labor camp members decide to go forward with executing their plan, as Maya (Jessica Parker Kennedy) tries to get Bram more attached, but overall, the results are probably not what Bram had in mind.

Also Nolan (Adrian Pasdar) becomes aware of the download looking towards Maddie (Amanda Righetti) to blame, but Maddie finds herself confused about previous events, when she goes to confront Katie.

The episode makes some advances on The Red Hand group, the sounds from outer space, and information on the flash drive, but does nothing to advance on the disappearances of Jennifer, Betsy, Eackhart, or even, the long lost Beau. That's not to say that the episode doesn't make an impact--it does, and it feels like a darker turning point for the series.
