Sofia makes her entry into the world of journalism, working for the formidable Logan Rawlings on a special episode of "Young & Hungry," airing on WEDNESDAY, JULY 20 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT), on Freeform.

In "Young & Sofia," having recently discovered her passion for writing, Sofia is thrilled when she gets a chance to work for intimidating media entrepreneur Logan Rawlings (guest star Ashley Tisdale), with Gabi supporting her all the way. However, Logan is as demanding as ever, and after a rocky start on the job, she gives Sofia one chance to prove herself - by landing an exclusive interview with a hot new artist. At a loss for what to do, Sofia turns to her new coworkers, intellectual Leo (guest star Ryan Pinkston), who's immediately taken with Sofia, and charming Kendrick (guest star Steve Talley), who's caught Sofia's eye. Determined to succeed, Sofia sets out to show Logan, and herself, that she has what it takes.

Thanks to Andrew for the heads up.

In Y&H’s episode 8, titled “Young & Sofia,” Sofia starts a new job, which sets up a world for the spin-off — and EW has your first look of the special half-hour. The July 20 episode sees the aspiring journalist taking a position working for the San Fran media mogul.

Although Carrero has worked with Tisdale on the show before, she tells EW that working alongside her on this special episode was a “pleasure.”

“[Ashley] is the definition of a team player [and] a constant stream of support and encouragement throughout,” Carrero said in a statement to EW.

“This episode was a true labor of love for everyone involved,” Carrero said. “For me, it was an education on the importance of diligence, patience, and confidence in the face of gnawing self-doubt. It was an incredible rush… then I slept for 10 days.”
