12 Monkeys - Meltdown - Advance Preview

12 Monkeys “Meltdown” was written by Richard E Robbins and was directed by Grant Harvey, whose other credits include Orphan Black, Bitten, and Killjoys. This is an intense, fast paced episode that will leave you worried. Virtually all the action takes place in 2044 in the Facility. Nobody comes out of this episode unscarred. There will be one wildly romantic gesture.

We get to see Jones (Barbara Sukowa) in a whole new light. Sukowa always seems to be having a blast playing this role, but she is also terrific and playing all the nuances of this character.
Sam (Peter DaCunha) builds something that really impresses Ramse (Kirk Acevedo) – and me! It is only one demonstration of how smart this kid is, and it ends up being very helpful later in the episode.

Jones has some tough questions for Cassie (Amanda Schull) and Deacon (Todd Stashwick) steps up several times as her protector. Stashwick is also doing a wonderful job adding layers to this character. We get to see him team up with a new partner.

Cole (Aaron Stanford) and Cassie compare splinter experiences and come to a new understanding. They have a few tough moments. And that’s all I really want to say about the episode! I don’t want to give away anything because this is such a twisty-turny episode – and you deserve the thrill of the roller coaster.

Here are a few bits of dialogue in no particular order:

Exactly what is it that you’ve witnessed?
Crater, I understand.
Chivalry my ass. If anything happens to you, we’re all screwed.
You were lost in time once and you found your way home.
That piece of shit is going to stop this freak show?
I prefer to correct my mistakes, not repeat them.
We should be ready for a counter move.
Tough to sleep after you splinter. Kinda messes with your time.
Some pretty trippy shit.
No. I’m not crazy.
The forest is red. The grass is tall.
If I say run, you be ready.

Don’t forget to tune in to Syfy tonight to see 12 Monkeys “Meltdown” at 9/8C.
