Younger airs on Wednesdays at 10/9 C on TV Land

While Younger usually tries to pull in all of its main cast, this episode is different in that it focuses mostly on Liza for the A story and Diana for the B story. Maggie and Laurel make a cameo appearance for a little under a minute. Kelsey has one scene. The majority of the episode is Liza at a crossroads between her younger life with Josh and an older conversation with Charles. When Josh invites her to the all-weekend festival his band is playing in, Liza goes with the best of intentions to support Josh but she's not made for roughing it with 20-somethings. The ground is damp, the plumbing is non-existent, and the cell reception is iffy. That wouldn't be a problem except that Charles is being featured in the Times about his reading habits and he's counting on Liza to help him get it right since she's a big fan of the column. While Charles brings a more cultured discussion, Josh's life brings her an uncomfortable night and Gabe as a tent mate. Neither are a turn on. Still in the end, it does end happily for the couple. Until the final moment that is. Depending on whom you ship Liza with, you can take those final moments either way. On a less interesting note, Diana finally gets a date with her male feminist author. Let's just say that things don't end near as well for her. Maybe she'll find someone more suitable at the hospital she ends up visiting.

Grade: B-

Best Reason to Watch - Liza coping with the discomfort of camping out
Best Advice - bring toilet paper
Best All-Around Guy - Charles and I mean that in a totally non-sexual way
Biggest Turn On - towels and pillows
Most Obnoxious - Diana's author squeezes by Gabe on the fact that he's in it more
Most Likely to Lead to Trouble - texting your boss and your boyfriend at the same time
The "I'm with You" Award - Liza's facial expression at the Port-o-Potty is basically me at any outdoor event. In fact, all Liza's expressions are pretty spot on.
The "Please Shut Up" Award - Diana's author

Quotes -

"I couldn't find any coffee. It's coffee stout." "Great, morning beer."
"I'm going full Deliverance. I'm not bringing a tent, toothpaste, or toilet paper. Just me, the music and the sky." "You know how that movie ends, right?" "What movie?"
"Some Hunger Games tribute tried to take my charger and I hip checked her.
"Relationships are complex."
"Why is everyone so non-violent here? We're not that far from New York."
"You have to be in your 20's to do the festival thing."
