Blindspot - Cease Forcing Enemy - Ten Teasers for the Midseason Premiere

After a 14-week hiatus, Blindspot returns to NBC this Monday at 10pm with its midseason premiere, Cease Forcing Enemy. It’s a pretty good return, and I’ll have my review up after the East Coast airing on Monday night. For now, here are ten teasers for the hour. I’ve tried to keep them as spoiler-free as possible, but if you want to go into things blind, look away now!
  • While the episode doesn’t pick up right where things left off, we do very quickly go back to those moments after Oscar saved Jane from Carter.
  • John Hodgman plays Chief Inspector Fisher and he is a man on a mission. That mission? Investigate the death of David Wagner.
  • I got a very mild LOST vibe during the case.
  • Wondering what will happen with Zapata's letter of resignation now that Carter is dead? That’s cleared up.
  • A lie puts one character into a difficult position.
  • We get to see a little bit of Jane receiving her tattoos, watched by both Oscar and Johnny Whitworth’s mysterious man.
  • I didn’t think it possible, but Patterson seems even more exceptionally and inhumanely talented than usual.
  • Once again, Blindspot doesn’t do small-scale cases.
  • Jane is forced to make a difficult choice.
  • A line early on in Cease Forcing Enemy: “Look, I know it’s frustrating, working so hard and feeling like you’re no closer to the truth.” If you, as a viewer, feel this applies to you in regards to Blindspot, I think you’ll be satisfied by the end of this episode.
Feel free to speculate in the comments as to what some of these hints might mean. Tune into Blindspot’s midseason premiere on Monday 29th February at 10pm on NBC, then check back to SpoilerTV after the episode for my analysis of the episode.
