The Muppets - Pig's in a Blackout/ Too Hot to Handler - Double Review

In the first episode Pig’s in a Blackout, Kermit can’t handle all the pressure at work and he is obliged to go and get a private Yoga retreat. While he is relaxing, he meets a stressed Jason Bateman who is the guest star of the episode.

With Kermit out of the office, Scooter has to run the show and things gets a lot complicated. I really liked the plot involving the storyline inside the office, but the plot involving Kermit learning to deal with stress could have been handled better. It was slightly funny, but it could have been better.

In the second episode Too Hot to Handler,Scooter decides to book his long time TV crush, Chelsea Handler. She really messed up both 'Up Late' and Scooter's personal life. Meanwhile, Fozzie wants to start a real relationship with Becky and so he decides to ask Kermit and Denise for a double date. When they all go for it, Kermit discovers that Becky might have a few skeletons in her closet and he is really surprised by them.

I really enjoyed this episode’s dynamics between the characters. The best part of this new version of The Muppets is when they are able to create interesting and funny interactions between the so-loved main characters.

These are the latest episodes before the winter break. The new episodes in March will be developed in a different format. What will the show look like? Only time will tell.

What do you think of Pig’s in a Blackout and Too Hot to Handler?
