Supergirl - How Does She Do It? - Advance Preview

Supergirl airs its fifth episode this Monday. The episode was supposed to air last week, but was swapped with the original fifth episode due to the attacks in Paris. Episode 5 is titled "How Does She Do It?" and surprisingly, the "she" in the title does not refer to Kara (Melissa Benoist), but rather to Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

Still, Kara does have quite a few jobs to juggle. In fact, there is a bombing in National City so of course Kara has to save people. Additionally, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Hank (David Harewood) pose as FBI agents to investigate the bombing. The bombing turns out to be just the beginning, so all bets are off to prevent further bombings. The investigation does in some way lead to Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli). In the process, we also find out if Hank has any powers besides glowing his eyes.

Elsewhere, Kara is babysitting Cat's son Levi Miller (Carter Grant). Since Cat is away for the day, Kara volunteers to look after him. It turns out Levi isn't exactly an easy child, but he is a fan of Supergirl. However, with the bombings in the city, Kara is a bit too busy to look after Levi so he has to look after himself. This later leads to his life being in danger.

Also, Kara meets James' (Mehcad Brooks) ex-girlfriend Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum). This of course leads to quite a few awkward moments between the three of them. You will also learn why the two broke up in the first place, and if one or both of the pair is still interested in the other.

"How Does She Do It?" airs Monday at 8/7c on CBS. Watch a promo for the episode below.
