ABC FAMILY ORDERS A SECOND SEASON OF THE HIT PROCEDURAL SERIES “STITCHERS”

Burbank, CA (July 14, 2015) – ABC Family today announced that the hit original drama series “Stitchers” will return for a second season. The first procedural program for the network, “Stitchers” is currently airing Tuesdays at 9:00PM – 10:00PM ET/PT. The summer finale will air August 4, 2015.

“Fans are enjoying the camaraderie of the Stitchers team and a lead character that is unapologetically smart, focused and a great role model to young women,” said Karey Burke, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, ABC Family. “We look forward to seeing more of the Stitchers team tackling diverse cases as they unravel the mystery behind the program’s creation.”

Launch to date, “Stitchers” is cable TV’s #1 scripted series on Tuesdays at 9 o’clock in Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34.

“Stitchers” follows Kirsten, a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron, a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie, a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus, a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille, a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a ‘stitcher.’

“Stitchers” is executive-produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter (“Overruled!”), Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark, Kyle Harris (“Carrie Diaries”) as Cameron Goodkin, Ritesh Rajan (upcoming “Jungle Book” feature) as Linus Ahluwalia, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (“Eureka,” “I Am Legend”) as Maggie Baptiste, and Allison Scagliotti (“Warehouse 13”) as Camille Engelson.

  10. I actually think this renewal has at least one encouraging sign for Chasing Life. ABC Family renewed a 10 episode show for a second season, likely of 10-13 episodes instead of the typical back 10 episode back order. This renewal and Shadowhunters being 13 episodes paves the way for Chasing Life to continue as a 13 episode a season show.

Different situations-PLL was much higher rated back when LG followed it and the network is rebranding, has new people in charge & is trying to get more year round programming and Lay was getting 0.4s too.

I'm gonna be so mad if AbCF renews this but cancels Fosters,Switched.

  20. There is no way they are canceling the foster if they do there will be a revolt especially the jonnor fans.

    I hope not,but it's ratings aren't great & you just never know

I hope so,but it has gotten a couple 0.3s and will have 90+ episodes at the end if this season-enough to syndicate so I'm worried ABCFamily will be done with it plus it seems like lately you just never know with networks-majority of people said Stitchers,Aqusuis would get cancelled-UnReal too yet they got renewed and lots of Peopke thought Hsnnibal would be renewed( critical acclaim, cheap international co production) but it got cancelled.I thought Chasing Life ,Young & Hungry,Baby Daddy would be cancelled but they got renewed.Msjority if people thought Czws BatB would be cancelled after s2/3 but it was renewed. You just never know.

  26. That's terrific news. Another good summer show. I wasn't crazy about the show's pilot episode partly because I found the lead female character annoying, but the character grew on me, I'm glad I stuck with the show.

  27. The Fosters and SAB are constantly hiting 0.4-0.5. There is no way they get cancelled.
