Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Paramount is rebooting its iconic thriller Fatal Attraction into a one-hour event TV series with Maria and Andre Jacquemetton (Mad Men) exec producing and writing. The series is being developed under the auspices of Paramount Television Production. Fox Broadcasting Network is on-board and has commissioned the script. Stanley R. Jaffe and Anonymous Content’s Rosalie Swedlin are exec producing.

Fox’s president of entertainment, David Madden, actually developed and supervised the original feature when he was an exec at Paramount. Although exact details are being kept under wraps, Deadline understands the reimagining will explore how a married man’s indiscretion comes back to haunt him.

  1. "one-hour event TV series" Really? It's like a cheap movie.

  3. It's from the Producers of Mad Men, so it can't be that horrible. The Jacquemetton's were Matt Weiner's top writers/producers on Mad Men. Maybe just the sound right now on paper doesn't sound appealing. Let's wait and see who they cast.

  4. I think that means hour-long, and not just one-episode show. That would make no sense,

  5. Honestly,i don't even know what to say about this.

  6. FOX, where originality dies. The last thing they need is another reboot, from a movie no one wants to relive.

  7. If it wouldn't be on FOX, but rather a cable channel, and if I wouldn't think they will pay to the contemporary melodrama, rather than the psychological thriller aspect, I might of been rather excited for this, but I just think it's going to be like The Following meets ABC's Secrets & Lies...

However, there might be a glimmer of hope when one considers how wonder Wayward Pines turned out and that an up-dated and continuation of X-Files is upon us.

Won't hold my breath, but will keep it in mind. What and see who they cast and what promotional stuff looks like.
