Now, in Season Two, a new status quo must be adjusted to, as the newly empowered werewolves control the city. Klaus struggles with weaknesses as Elijah desperately tries to save Hayley - now a hybrid - from a vicious spiral of self-destruction. Meanwhile, with the re-emergence of several Mikaelsons, "family is power" takes on new meaning.

Home Entertainment. Averaging nearly 2.7 million viewers weekly in its sixth season, The Vampire Diaries remains The CW's #1 show with young female demos and will return for a seventh season on The CW this fall. Meanwhile, Stefan and Caroline's friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents. In the shocking season finale, Damon - fearing he would lose his loved ones on the crumbling Other Side - made a huge sacrifice to bring them all back...with catastrophic and heartbreaking results. Season Six follows the characters' journey back to each other as they explore the duality of good versus evil inside themselves. Matt Davis reprises his role as Alaric Saltzman, recently returned from The Other Side. Plus, the season will make you misty-eyed as the departure of a major character will turn lives upside down, and leave us asking what happened to Mystic Falls.

  4. Nothing special about that Arrow cover. Then again, that does reflect how season 3 was: nothing special. Wouldn't want to buy that season on DVD.

I want to buy Arrow season 3........Too bad I can't afford it at the moment

  6. It's a really generic looking cover but I'm fine with that, as long as the fandom doesn't start fighting over the positioning of characters they don't like everything is fine.

  7. I really wanted to sarcastically reply to your post by typing in Reign backwards, however I figured out that spelled backwards Reign actually sounds a little racist so I had to stop myself.

Just FYI, asking that question in every single announcement isn't going to get you near to an answer since only asking about a title fails to deliver the question.

    Why isn't Reign among these?
The show is produced by CBS and will be released with the CBS block IF it's going to see a release (wich I'm not sure of since sales for season 1 weren't too flattering)

  8. Yep, the entire marketing campaign for season 2 was pretty good (except that "Hayley as the statue of liberty" poster).

And Elijah is in the center, where he belongs

  9. Since it's coming out in september you'll have some time to save for it ^^

also I'm fairly sure that it'll be 50% off by late october

  10. I'll do it like last year: pre-order TO and wait until Arrows price drops. Gotta have my priorities and seaosn 3 really isn't worth full price.

  11. Glad they're using that for POI. Really nice poster.

Flash is nothing special, but it gets the point across. Same with Arrow, though it's still better than that first season one if you ask me.

I wonder if any of these will have extras in Japan like some shows did last season...

Vampire Diaries in Japan tends to include some form of cheap jewelry and cards.
Reign (Retitled 'Queen Mary' there) included 2 character-chart-posters.
Person Of Interest had some booklets included with each seasons 'Limited Edition' version which appears to have extra information on the characters.
Supernatural and Arrow I believe get something extra too (Arrow mentions the Oricon Charts, my Japanese isn't good enough to read it all but I think they get a soundtrack).

I'm more surprised that Felicity isn't on the cover since they try and force her into everything lately.

  14. because they want to appeal to a fanbase as wide as possible, if she's on there they would lose more potential buyers than they would gain.

Keep in mind: the loud fanbase isn't neccessarily the big or relevant one

  15. Damn that's so true. Thanks for the reminder I like that. 🗽

It'll get a DVD release but I doubt a Blu Ray release since it nor Batzb have got a Blu ray .Btw,according to Reign/BatB Candain production company on Feb 10,2015 said that "Reign was greenlit for a 22 episode third season in Jan".

    ReplyDelete
  17. CBS is generally pretty slow on BluRays, not many of their shows actually got a bluray release (albeit for Reign it'd actually make sense given the high-profile cinematography)

Who made the comment? A press release from Take5 itself or made froma an employee? Because I remember someone from the wardrobe departement making a similar comment a while ago wich was dismissed.

It's hard for me to believe given Reigns...unfortunate....non-success but this show has defied my expectations a lot in the past few years. Hell, a full second season didn't make sense to me either and yet it got it. So every possibility is open

It's in an article dated Feb 10,2025 with the headline Two New CW seasons for Take 5,Whizbsng."Reign was greenlit for a 22 episode third season,Batzb was renewed for a fourth season ringing its total to 70".I think you mean BatB costume designer that said on twitter that it got 13 episodes for s 4 that tvbtn blew off as rumors til the next day when Czw made it official.
