  1. Score (Instrumental)

Once Upon a Time, I've loved the score they used when the Snow Queen sacrificed herself, the Season 1 finale score, so beautiful and many others. Mark Isham is a wonderful composer.

Agents of SHIELD, the best piece of music was during the scene when Skye transitioned.

    Soundtrack (Artists)

How to Get Away With Murder, nearly every episode had an awesome song :)

Grey's Anatomy, I always like when Sleeping at Last cover songs for the show. I usually enjoy some of the sadder, moving songs.

  2. ABC shows have never been strong in the scoring department, but Castle's is good at times, and HTGAWM's score is quite unique

  3. Scandal's classic soul/funk/Motown soundtrack is THE business, love it <3

  4. Without a single doubt Once Upon A Time ;) Mark Isham is simply amazing!
Just listen to this ;) (the music is a part of what made me love the pilot so much)

  5. Right? I'm trying to think of songs their shows have but none come to mind, it's mostly score.

  6. Revenge (discovered MS MR and Florence and The Machine thanks to the show)
Once Upon a Time -- always spellbound by the song
How To Get Away With Murder -- The song at the end of episode 14 keeps blowing my mind. The tension!!!

  7. I think LOST will always be the best soundtrack on ABC and maybe TV altogether. Close to LOST is Person of Interest, then GoT, and then Fringe.

  11. I really love Castle's soundtrack but for me the best is Agents Of SHIELD soundtrack, they've got a pretty good rhythm and it's like movies soundtracks especially when Skye got transformed.

  12. Grey's Anatomy,OUAT & Castle get my vote.

  13. Agents of SHIELD. No doubt. Specially the final scene of the mid season finale with Skye transforming. That was epic.

  14. Castle, Once Upon a Time and Grey's Anatomy.
Honourable mention: AoS, particularly when Skye transformed.

  22. Original content, it's got to be Nashville, i mean they do their own songs. give them some credit there. as for Soundtrack i like Murder and i believe GA people always find the perfect songs to fit an episode.

  23. How is revenge so low?! It Has the most amazing soundtrack ever. Followed by OUAT. I do not understand why castle is winning

  24. Revenge? You watched it didn't you? You cannot say it is not good

  25. The score (Background music)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I never said it was not good. That being said,it doesn't feature in my top 3 ABC show background score.I have more options to compare coz i watch almost all of them.

  27. aham. When someone says original my mind goes to what the show created songs or something.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Once Upon A Time music is beautiful. All originals

    ReplyDelete
  29. I voted for Nashville because all of the songs are original and specially made for the series. So, yeah.

  30. Mark Isham always does amazing work on OUAT, gotta give him a lot of credit there. I also like Castle's choice of music too. For other: I'm loving Agent Carter's soundtrack actually! Hearing all the 1940's and 1950's songs just makes the show even more unique, and it's fun to listen to period swing music as Peggy is beating up bad guys. I'm only 17, so I can't say it 'bring back memories' lmao, but hearing the different styles in music through an older era has really broadened my music taste :) I loved hearing 'Someone to watch over me' during the third episode.

  31. Score wise Once Upon A Time, other music Nashville.

  32. Well Agents of Shield have Bear McCreary so no contest.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Castle's Robert Duncan has been nominated for an Emmy for his work. His original scores for Castle are marvelous.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bear McReary is one of my favourite composers but I found his work on AOS and TWD disappointing. His stuff for BSG, Defiance and Da Vinci's Demons are my favourite.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Agree. BSG's "Kara Remembers" is amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's one of my favourites a well

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like Castles background music, Scandals good mix of old school, jazz just overall good music, but Grey's is my all time favorite a good remake of it all just overall feel good music!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know if everyone realizes this but I think by 'original soundtrack', they mean background music composed for the series. Not the songs that play in the background during the show. (except for Nashville, because it has original songs composed for the series).

I don't watch all these shows, but my vote definitely goes to Revenge. It has one of the best soundtracks on television, the music composed by Fil Eizler is so good!
Second and third: HTGAWM and OUAT

  39. Castle, bar none!

  40. Lost has by far the best television soundtrack I've ever heard :)

    Lost would disagree with you

    ReplyDelete
  42. LOST had Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino, so there you go. Contest!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I like you! I would add Dexter to that list, but you got most of them! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. IMAO "Once Upon a Time" is a clear winner. Mark Isham created beautiful musical themes, which perfectly set the mood and are recognisable and easy to remember.
Second place goes to "Revenge". The series had its ups and downs, but one thing was consistent - Eisler's musical compositions. Fantastically orchestrated and again - very recognisable.
The third place goes to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". I love McCreary's work, especially on "Da Vinci Demons". And while the "Agents'" sountrack isn't McCreary's best and tends to be too... "pompous", it's still very pleasent to listen to.

All that said, these three are still inferior to Giacchino's "Lost".
