Minx is a truly diabolial child! No way and 8 year old doesn't realice that this wrong.

  6. "Don't worry, I'll take care of her", what 8-year-old says that?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Okay Minx is getting more and more dangerous, she just sent a kid to his death essentially. I know i keep harping on this but the show basically just better say that Minx is the second Big Bad of the show.

She's a bad seed! no way she became this way ONLY because of her parent's recent situation, they must have gone wrong somewhere long before that. I mean, I get Henry, Drill gave him his hearing back, of course he feels in debt, but there's no real excuse for Minx, unless you count that unfotunate name...

  9. I actually like her name LOL, oh wow you're right, out of all the kids Minx is the ONLY one that's not in debt with Drill. Henry had his hearing restored, and Harper had her mom in a coma. It still supports my theory that when Drill chose Minx he knew she wouldn't be too hard to control or bribe. That she was the "chosen one" in a way, the one to handle his dirty work until he's ready to come out the dark.

To me the name sounds like a character out of Harry Potter (FYI I love HP, I literally grew up with the characters).
The thing is, I'm having trouble believing she can be so easily manipulated. Drill is not a real life friend (one she can see and touch), he's doing anything for her, there's no real bond there. And she's seen that doing what it wants hurts people she "cares" about. Unless she's a true psicopath, I don't see HOW she could fall so easily for his lies. Hopefully we'll see her questioning all this soon, that'd be the only reallistic thing to do.

  11. LOL i get that, it's just a different name and i like that, she kind of questioned him when she couldn't print the Nuclear Plant blueprints and there was no retaliation from Drill, unlike when the others doubted him. With Harper he played with her mom waking up and then put her back in the coma, with Henry he threatened him with the microwave. But with Minx nothing happened, you're right they can't even see Drill, it surprised me when she say that, i thought the kids could see him. So Minx is essentially doing all this out of her free will, no bribing, no threatening just because she wants to.

  12. Minx getting around unattended like that, that's just neglectful on the parents part. I'd call child services on Wes and his wife...

    ReplyDelete
  13. If they paid more attention to her she might have not been such an easy target for Drill (whoever he is).

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well that too, except their kid's different, she basically knows what's going on and just doesn't care.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't know that she knows though... She should know better, I'll agree with that. But he's clearly taking advantage of her, and we don't know exactly what Drill's effects are... and she is in a vulnerable place.

  16. Minx really IS recruiting these kids for dangerous missions.

I don't really get Minx... You're right, she's doing out of her own free will, because she want's to help it, because it says it needs her? Does she feel so alone that that's all she wants? to be needed by someone/something? Like I said, I don't get her... She has no motivations for doing what she's doing, so this must be it.

  18. Why are you calling Drill it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. He's just a technopathic being, if you ask me he's just a coward. If he really had guts he would expose himself to the world, not that i want that obviously LOL.

I started calling it a he because of the name, and I think the kids refer to it as a he, but since Drill it's an unknown, unseen, entity, God knows what it really is. I'll go back to calling it a he now ;-)

  21. Why show so many sneak peaks 1or 2 would do should not spoil episode that counter productive for abc get higher ratings

    ReplyDelete
  22. We don't know what he is... we don't know what he's telling them in detail... and we don't know that his "contact" with the kids isn't in fact effecting them in other ways either.

And I maintain, she might be objectively old enough to know better, but she is still young enough to be easily emotionally manipulated, and she is more malleable with all the drama at home. So because she's a kid I'm willing to cut her some slack and give her the benefit of the doubt here.

It's on the parents to watch out for their kid. And they clearly haven't been doing that. Look at with Henry and Harper, the adults concern is clear. The kids are never alone for that long. Minx clearly is left to her own devices more often, and in her emotional state it makes a more vulnerable and easy target.

Well, for whatever worth, Wes has a very demanding job. His wife however is a stay at home mom, and for what we've seen, she fails miserably at that. If you can't handle your child and your husband has the great salary I'm assuming Wes does, just hire a nanny. Maybe if she had someone paying more atention to her, she wouldn't be helping an alien plan an invasion.

    ReplyDelete
  24. So maybe that's why Drill chose her? Not just because of her dad but also because of her home situation, he knew she'd be the perfect child to take under his wing as it were?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well Wes is also off finding time for affairs and his ex-mistress instead of paying attention to his daughter so I don't think he's entirely blameless here.
That's why I'm saying it's Minx's parents who need to be called on their crap here.

    ReplyDelete
  26. "Your mommy's pretty. Not as pretty as mine but... *shrugs*" I was dying lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. Victoria Llanos22 June 2015 at 17:56

Agreed on that. If he had time to have an affair, he had more time to dedicate to his familly, he just decided to alocate said time elsewhere. Still, as an only child that was raised by stay at home mom, Lena pretty much sucks at it. Sure, it's on both of them, but the mom spends more time with her, and has closer relationship with her daughter, that's why I place more responsabilty on her. But, you're right, they both need to be called on their crap, and focus more on their troubled child.

  28. I think everyone's so harsh on Minx. the girl's getting on my nerves, yes. she's too smart for a kid. but she's also got something to fix. her family is not what it meant to be. and i think Drill's actually planning on fixing it by killing Claire!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I consider parenting a team effort, especially in situations where for all intense and purposes the family is not separated, so I'll disagree with you about placing more blame on one parent more than the other.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Victoria Llanos22 June 2015 at 23:29

Yes, parenting is a team effort, but it's different when you spend 24/7 with someone, than just breakfast and dinner. She should've noticed more. I'm all for shared responsibilities, but the fact is, either she didn't notice, or she didn't deem it important to tell him because of what they were going through. Both are equally bad when it comes down to parenting.
    LLet's agree to disagree.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well Lena is also reeling from the whole infidelity thing on a personal level too, and is in the process of trying to save her marriage. And please note I'm not her biggest fan here... but she's got a lot on her plate.

That's why I'm holding them both equally accountable. They are both parents and they should be in this together.

Lena did not get into this as single parent. Yes, she is with Minx more, but if she feels she doesn't have the support in her marriage for which she did sign up for (and because of the infidelity she doesn't) she is justifiably somewhat distracted. And that falls on Wes and his letting down his family.

It's on both of them, but yes, lets just agree to disagree.

Ah! So that's what he promissed her! That he would make her parents stay together! She's just a child, I can get behind that motivation. You're a tricky bastard, Drill. Poor Minx...
