  • 11:45 - Teen Wolf - Season 5 - Buzzfeed Interview - EP Teases ‘Dread Doctors’
Teen Wolf Executive Producer Jeff Davis spoke with Hypable and revealed two interesting facts about season 5 ahead of the premiere.

First off, Davis reveals Teen Wolf season 5, episode 2 will be titled “Parasomnia.” Remember, this episode will air on Tuesday, the day after the June 29 premiere, and it will be at 9:00 p.m. on MTV.

Parasomnia is not quite as paranormal as it seems at first glance. The word is a real medical term that describes any sort of abnormal behavior that may take place while a person is asleep. This includes sleepwalking, nightmares, and yes — even sleep paralysis.

So, does this mean we may be revisiting Stiles’ condition from season 3B where he had issues with sleep paralysis? Perhaps. But we’re also hoping to see a different kind of parasomnia associated with our characters — and maybe even one that’s well outside the norm for us humans, but could be a side effect of being a werewolf or other creature.

The second piece of information Davis told us was that these mysterious doctors we’ve been hearing so much about, which were featured in the recent trailer, are actually being referred to as Dread Doctors.

  • 09:05 - MOVIES: James Wan Closes Deals to Direct 'Aquaman' and ‘Robotech'

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that director James Wan (“Furious Seven,” “The Conjuring”) will take the helm of the Studio’s upcoming Aquaman feature film, with Jason Momoa (“Game of Thrones”) starring as the sea-dwelling Super Hero. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.

“James is not only a great storyteller but can make action truly explode on the big screen, and Jason has a dynamic presence that commands your attention. Together, they will bring an undeniable vitality and energy to this character as he headlines his first feature film.”

Silverman stated, “We’ve been so lucky to have worked with James, first on New Line’s ‘The Conjuring’ and now on their upcoming ‘The Conjuring 2,’ and are thrilled to have him on board as we continue to expand our DC slate. The Aquaman film will be a major tentpole picture for us and James’s span of work has proven him able to take on any manner of project, bringing his incredible creative talent and unique voice to the material.”

Wan will also be supervising the script by Kurt Johnstad (“300,” “300: Rise of an Empire”). The film is being produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder.

Roven said, “James is not only a great storyteller but can make action truly explode on the big screen, and Jason has a dynamic presence that commands your attention. Together, they will bring an undeniable vitality and energy to this character as he headlines his first feature film.”

An icon for over 70 years, Aquaman is the King of the Seven Seas. This reluctant ruler of Atlantis, caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt, is committed to protecting the entire globe.

Currently set for a 2018 release, the film is based on characters appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.

  • 08:50 - Warner Bros. Film Chief on Wonder Woman,Fantastic Beasts and How DC Will Compete With Marvel
How will you differentiate the DC Universe from what Marvel is doing?

We have a great strategy for the DC films, which is to take these beloved characters and put them in the hands of master filmmakers and make sure they all coordinate with each other. You'll see the difference when you see Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League and all the things that we are working on.

There were some complaints that the Batman v. Superman trailer was too dark. Is this a trademark of a DC superhero film in the post-Dark Knight era?

There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters. The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren't making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There's also humor, which is an important part.

After moving Jupiter Ascending from last summer, you recently moved a very expensive movie, Pan, from July to Oct. 9. Why the eleventh-hour switch?

The October slot just felt right. The movie is fantastical and beautiful and big. We had a lot of success with Gravity, which was also visually stunning, in October. I would like it be a big hit so we can make more while [star] Levi Miller is still the right age to play Peter Pan.

  6. Is Kingdom any good? I mean I only heard that a Jonas brother is having in it, that is the only buzz I got from it. Anything with Jessica should be worth checking out, imo!

  7. I found Kingdom to be very good. You should definitely check it out. Jessica is joining S2 but the main characters that have been there from the start are all wonderful.

  8. Same here. Season 1 was a very pleasant surprise. I do enjoy the movie but the show is so much better IMO.

  9. Okay. I'll maybe check it out during summer.

  10. Woot! From Dusk till Dawn! Can't wait.

Also super excited for episode 6 of WP that's one of the things I've been most interested to see on screen. I hope it doesn't deviate TOO terribly far from the books because I really enjoyed a lot of that story.

  13. Season 2 of Under the Dome feels like ages ago so a recap is great! Hoping the quality picks up next season!

  14. I will watch the recap too but later to the premiere. I am looking forward to the new season, I still enjoy the show much and despite the struggles in the middle of the season, I thought the last two episodes were excellent.

  15. I too am looking forward to it. I think season 2 was a mess, but later it got a bit better. I especially enjoyed the parts outside of the dome. I think the finale was good. The promo for season 3 looks intriguing and there was an interview that promised answers, so I am looking forward to that.

  16. Avengers Assemble: Ah! So that's where all the Kamala Khan rumours were rooted in... okay... she might be a good fit for the animation show. Though I'd so be on board for her showing up in live action too!

Now that we sorta know what's up with Wayward Pines (I'm still not entirely sure we have the full picture) I'm glad we'll delve more into how the town works...

Young & HUngry: I'm fine with Josh's brother showing up, as long as it's not another triangle between him and Gabi, and now his brother! Oh! Maybe he's a possible love interest for Sophia! That would be sooooooo much better... (though I did like that sandwich guy she was set up with so I'm a little torn here...)

Now super hyped about James Wan but okay... he can shoot action... and for Aquaman Jason can bring in the character stuff... and if the casting holds up for Robotech, then that might also be okay... but I dunno...
