The 100 - Season 3 - Official Synopsis

10 Jun 2015

For two seasons, the refugees of The 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains. There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won. The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving?

Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race…

  1. Isn't this the same as the one in the renewal/upfronts press release?

  2. This had already been posted when the CW schedule was released I believe! Here: http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/05/the-cw-announces-2015-fall-schedule.html

It sounds so enticing, too bad it's such a long wait ahead of us!

  5. This was already posted but still seems quite intriguing.

So which Grounders will return? Indra? Hopefully Lexa? How will camp Jaha reach the City of Light? And what new mythology/people will be explored.

I feel anxious with a possible summer 2016 air date. They announced Contaimment for mid-season but maybe they push both to summer?

  6. I don't see them pushing both to summer. I think Reign's second half of the season will be pushed to summer, and Top Model is ending, so there's 2 slots right there. The problem is that there are 3 midseason shows this year so for the third one (most likely the 100) to also air in season they would need either not to give iZombie a backorder or to cancel Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. None of those things look impossible but I am not sure how likely they are either.

  9. As far as I know CrExGf is limited to 12 eps.
Yeah Reign moving to summer is also a possibility, as I'm really surprised it got a Fall spot. But than again I'm not sure they will reduce CW to only 1 CBS show.
I would br more happy with pushing both shows than just The100 without any companion.

  11. Maybe the CW felt it didn't generate enough buzz lumped in with Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, The Flash, The Originals Supernatural, and TVD so they decided it needed it's 'OWN' Press Release.

I think Reign only got a Fall slot so they can rush it to syndication as quick as possible. I'm almost certain it will get the BATB treatment though and the final few episodes of the season will be bumped to summer.

  14. MIssed this the first time, sounds great! I like how each season has its own distinct feel and focus so far. Keeps the show fresh!

  15. Of course it got a full season to keep it close to syndication, but also it's status as one of the remaining CBS shows is keeping them there. We'll have to wait and see how they plan to treat it further along.

  16. I have not heard anything suggesting Crazy Ex Girlfriend to be limited though, what leads you to say that?

  17. I don't really believe much of what the TV executives say. There have been multiple instances in which what they've said hasn't proven to be true. I believe they have intentions of wanting to air the 100 midseason, sure, but not sure they will amount to something. Besides, the term midseason is tricky. The Messengers technically aired midseason, although it is airing practically all of its order in the summer - yet, no one can argue that indeed it returned midseason. See what I mean?Words are tricky

  18. I Really wanna know where's The 100 will stay on midseason. As long as it does not harm Reign, for me is great.

  19. It was announced when they picked it up, at least that is what I remember. Maybe I'm wrong but as far as I heard it is 12 episode season.

  20. The CW has several shows that do not repeat well. Jane the Virgin for example. The simple solution would be for the CW to do what ABC is doing and eliminate repeats for their low rated shows. Air 12 episodes of JTV in the fall/13 episodes of one of the midseason shows instead of repeats/than the remaining 10 episodes of JTV. The CW could also start their season two weeks earlier since they are only premiering one new show in the fall. iZombie only has a 13 episode for next season with a possible back 9, so the CW could air 13 episodes of iZombie/13 episode midseason show/and 9 episodes of iZombie if it gets a back 9.

I think they should cap Crazy ex girlfriend at 13 episodes
Keep Izombie less than 22 (They could do like 16-18) Launch containment in March after The Flash just like Izombie did.
Move SPN to Monday 9 PM
Launch LOT in Jan behind Arrow
Shift JTV to Friday 9 PM
Put The 100 Monday 8 PM

Or shift JTV to Minday 8 PM
    Reign to Friday 9 PM
    The 100 Friday 8 PM

I just think Jane would fit with Reign and Fridaybetter than The 100 because Jane is probably much cheaper than The 100.

    Schedule
    Monday
    8:00 Crazy ex-girlfriend (13 episodes) ends Jan.
    8:00 The 100 (16 episodes) Jan 24-May 11th
9:00 Jane The Virgin (9 episodes) ends in Dec
    9:00 Supernatural (13 episodes) Jan-May
    Tuesday
    8:00 The Flash (22 episodes) Oct-May
    9:00 Izombie (18 episodes) Oct-March
    9:00 Containment (13 episodes) March-June
    Wednesday
    8:00 Arrow (23 episodes) Oct-May
    9:00 Supernatural (9 episodes) Oct-Dec
    9:00 Legends of tomorrow (15 episodes) Jan-May
    Thursday
    8:00 The Vampire Diaries (22 episodes) Oct-May
    9:00 The Originals (22 episodes) Oct-May
    Friday
    8:00 Reign (22 episodes) Oct-May
    9:00 ANTN ends in November
    9:00 Jane The Virgin (13 episodes) Jan-May

  24. I'd also put Jane and Reign on the same day but I am not quiet sure if The 100 at 8 is a good idea. It is more likely to get the 9 o'clock spot. Maybe put it after The Flash or Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's just one of the writer's trying to drum up buzz for those people who didn't pay attention to the upfronts in May.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sounds really interesting. Best show on CW by far.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wasn't it after Arrow last season, at 9? I think, as a sci fi show, it would be a better fit with Flash or Arrow than with JtV or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

On a side note, in Germany the show will premier on ProSieben, Wednesday July 22th, at 8:15 p.m. YAY!!

  30. Regardless, I still thank The CW for renewing 'The 100' for a 3rd season. It's one of the best shows of the network since its inception, IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes is was at nine after Arrow but not doing that great. Putting it after Jane, Reign or iZombie wouldn't help the ratings though.
Oh that's great news! Thanks for the info. Pro7 is one of the big channels! Yes yes yes!
