  2. OH HELL YES! This show is gonna be amazing!

  3. She was as dumb as a box of rocks but this is going to be so good. It already feels so much like the movie.

    I hope they don't forget Randy's rules.
You may not survive the movie (episode) if you say -
"I'll be right back", "Hello?" or "Who's there?"

  4. OH MY GOD YES! That was just like watching the movies it was so amazing! I always call Pottery Barn in an emergency as well, I find them very calming. The mask looks awesome with the hood covering the straps, I was hoping the hood would cover them :) This looks so much better than I was expecting so far. I think this is what Scream Queens wants to be but I don't think it will succeed, this will be much better imo.

  5. That mask was so much better than I thought. I loved it. Also, how could we not love Pottery Barn? That's awesome.

  6. Lol, I know right ?

    ReplyDelete
  7. The only thing I didn't like was the trenchcoat the killer was wearing (can we still him/her Ghostface?) instead of the cape from the movies.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Maaaaan. I love this show already!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well that was creepy!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well after watching this, I might even watch it!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Just realised we didn't hear the voice! I hope it's not crappy. Also I need to hear "What's your favourite scary movie" at least once! Or TV show, since this is a TV show :P

    ReplyDelete
  12. THAT WAS AMAZING!! Count me in!

  13. Scream is suppose to air on June 30th on MTV right ...or... has it been moved to another night as I can't seeseem find it on my satellite ?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think the only reason they chose to have the killer/Ghostface(if they end up calling him/her that in the series) wear the trench coat it so that we can't tell from the shape of the body if it's a guy or a girl.

    ReplyDelete
  15. They managed it in Scream 4 though. It's just a lot less scary when the killer just looks like he's dressed for bad weather instead of stalking and killing.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Judge Geordie followed by Reign.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Weird, they must have just made a mistake. I also just noticed that Scream is listed as finishing at 11:07, I wonder if it's a slightly extended premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Scream tv series...you may just have won me over! Congrats!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah but in Scream 4 there was continuity (they also had the rights). Here it's a different town, a different killer with a really different ensemble, and with no connection to anything from the movies. A completely different universe, really. Which makes sense considering the series is classified as a spin-off of the movies but in idea only (it's more like 'based on'). We will probably never see any indication of the Woodsboro murders ever happening, or have the original cast member's characters name-dropped. For these reasons, I think it is logical to assume that the costume of the killer would be different (even if they didn't have to change to the costume because they didn't have the rights).

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well then.. I actually don't have much to say. I'm still going to watch it but I'm not sure for how long.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That doesn't change the fact that they were able to cover the shape of the body with a cape in Scream 4 which is what we were talking about. I don't mind having a different costume if they didn't have the rights, just right now I'm not a fan of the trench coat, there were other things they could have done. We've still hardly seen it though, it might turn out good or I might just get used to it. And maybe there's a reason for the coat as well like they said there was with the mask which I'd be ok with.

    ReplyDelete
  22. To this day I still say, "I'll be right back" if I am going out late at night.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm having a similar problem.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Eh. Still reminded me of Drew's intro. But seriously she would've dialed 911 on the phone as fast as she texted that made no sense. Lol Yeah I'll pass.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It shows on my guide. June 30th 10pm. On MTV and Vh1.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It shows on mine. It starts at 10pm. It's on MTV and for w/e reason, also on VH1.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It's shows on my guide. 10Pm on MTV AND VH1.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Is reminding you of Drew:s intro a bad thing? That's what it was supposed to be. She couldn't dial 911 because of her hands were wet so the touch screen wouldn't work properly.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No. It's not a bad thing. But i didn't need an exact replica. And well maybe that'll teach some to NOT get just a touch screen phone. lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. Lol, or don't stop behind a tree, just keep running! I loved that pottery barn moment though, it just felt so much like the movie. And the killer texting the victim from the phone of one of her friends, I'd forgotten how much the movie did that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ugh. That pottery barn moment made me facepalm. I love how, "Nine one one", sounded like Pot-ter-y Barn. (rolls eyes) typical. And you must be thinking about Scream 4, b/c 1,2,and 3 didn't have texting. That behind the tree thing was dumb. Blondes in horrors, i swear. LOL. jesus. Yeahh i'm definitely passing on this. I didn't like hearing it when it first was announced, i'm too much of a fan of the original (and the ones that followed) to care for some tv version of it. I didn't like the mask, reminds me of 3 ninjas, and i KNOW, they won't have Ghostface's voice, which is imperative with the Scream movies. Plus i'm not big on MTV shows.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Meh. Not planning to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Okay that was pretty amazing!

A really cool update on the Drew Barrymore-scene. I really hope the rest of the episode/show feels as much like the movies as these 8 minutes did.

Also really hope it's succesful and doesn't become another Eye Candy. This franchise really deserves more succes IMO!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow, I didn't think this would be any good but this has convinced me to give it a go.

    ReplyDelete
  35. She wasn't able to unlock the phone because the screen got wet. Have you ever tried to do that with wet hands? It doesn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The wet hands were already explained to me, so your explanation is irrelevant. And i was smart, i bought a touch screen with a keypad. I don't have that problem. = )

    ReplyDelete
  37. Okay i just changed the video and watched cute funny videos LOL, this was HORRIFYING!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I thought that was from the Summer movies?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I get that, sometimes you don't want stuff you love tainted, how creepy was Gohsface's voice?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Why didn't she just say "call police? That's what she gets for having a touch screen with no keypad LOL

    ReplyDelete
  41. You guys watched this in the dark? Why would you do that?! I almost screamed like a little girl LOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ghostface* And i never found his voice "creepy" I love his voice. That's one of the most important things about the Scream franchises' success. There's no "Scream" w/o the original voice. And if he didn't sign on to do this project, then idk how TPTB thought they'd have a "hit" on their hands. So for anyone who's going to watch this series, i'll just say, hope his voice pops up in the first season, for their sake.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I do to, but I still need the toucj screen to unlock and and it also has a password (pattern password) which can only be unlocked through the screen.

This is the phone I have (Xperia Pro). Bought it back in the fall of 2012 and still using: http://www.clove.co.uk/productimages/fullsize/11649C1C-3982-4650-AD40-C2D893122C99.jpg

  44. Thanks, maybe it'll show today. Everything else for Monday is showing.
    Don't let me down DTV.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That's pretty cool that a voice can have such an impact on a franchise, i like that and i definitely respect your attitude towards it. Was it always the same voice actor for the all the movies? Also are the Summer movies the same as the Scream movies? It seems like they both have masked killers.

  47. Nope, it's Scream. When MTV first started promoting it they used the tagline "What's your favourite scary TV show?"

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh so you're next? Is what you're telling me? LOL well, it was nice knowing ya. = )

  49. Hahahahaha

Subject: Re: Comment on Scream - Watch the First 8 Minutes

  50. It's the same actor for every movie. They won't do the movies w/o him and they fought for him in Scream 4. In fact, in the first Scream, the cast didn't even know who he was in the beginning of making of the film. He would just call in w/o rehearsal. So they were actually talking to him. Wes did this so their reactions could be realistic. And at one point the police contacted the crew b/c they thought there was a real killer around. (The calls would come from a cell on set) So it's not about "just a voice" it's about talent, the deliverance, the timing, etc. He MADE that voice. No other actor will be able to do that. As far as Scream is concerned. And summer movies?? What do you mean summer movies? What summer movies?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I wouldn't be surprised if they do something like with the boots in the first film, that we see a bunch of characters having similar jackets.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The pool/backyard area in the center of the house. The only way out of that area is back through the house, which is why she goes for the door.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Cool to read everyone's thoughts on the opening!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Huh, i remember that thing from Boy Meets World LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  55. That is so AWESOME!!! Also mean LOL, but every scary movie should do something like that! So THAT'S why people love Wes Craven? How would the police be involved though? That part's confusing, were they undercover or watching the set? The "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movies.

    ReplyDelete
  56. This was gory from the beginning wasn't it? Does it slow down?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Pretty decent homage. I was pleasantly surprised...

    ReplyDelete
  58. People love Wes, b/c the man is a freaking genius! I love his technique with horror films. He's right up there with King. And no, the calls would come from Roger's cell directly, so the police called the crew, demanding to know who they were b/c they thought there was a real killer on set. (All cell calls can be recorded). Ohhhh "The I Know What You Did Last Summer, gotcha. Why are you bringing that up though? Wes didn't have anything to do with that? Hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  59. Wow up there with King, that's an honor, why were the police even monitoring the calls though? Did an officer work at the set or something? I understand the recording thing and their worry but it makes no sense on why they even knew what was going on the set if they were nowhere near there. Because i thought all the slasher films back then were the same, you know masked killer calls victims and goes on a killing spree. So they were completely different?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Nooo. The cops were not on set. If you get multiple deaths threats from a freaking phone the authorities will be involved. And I hope you're joking? All slasher movies are not the same at all. Very different.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm sorry if i keep sounding stupid but it just makes no sense, did the cops get calls from one of the crew members, actors, etc.? I'm really trying to understand, i KNOW i sound like an idiot but how would the police even find out? It's not like they're psychic or worked or were near when the calls came. I mean they WERE crazy amounts of teen rom-coms back then, i just figured it was the same with slasher movies.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Sighhhhh. Ivan I can't make it any clearer for you. I'm sorry. Maybe you should just stop thinking about it, b/c you're not getting it. I can't make it any clearer. And they were NOT rom-coms, these were Slashers. Pyscho, Child's Play, A Nightmare of Elm Street, Candyman, Friday the 13th..(to name a few)...All slashers, non with mask, and they're not calling up their victims before they kill them. And the ones with mask, don't call up their victims either. There's a lottt of different slashers, and they allll differ from Scream. The only thing that they have in common is that most slashers involve teenagers.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Candyman huh? Was that really scary? I've seen references on TV shows and stuff and it's sounds horrifying LOL. Was Psycho the thing with Bates?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Your welcome. Candy man was very scary, if you watched it when it came out. "That thing??" "That thing???" I'm sorry, Psycho is not a "thing" Psycho is one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films AND one of the best films OF ALL TIME. It's the movie that started that Slasher genre in the first place. Not only did it win huge at the box office at its time, not only did it receive multiple nominees for its work, not only did it make Janet Leigh incredibly famous, but it has produced a remake, sequels, a TV spin off, AND a TV series. I swear i could go on and on. Psycho is extremely historic in Sooo many ways, and mostly every horror director out there has taken their lead from Alfred Hitchcock himself. Especially from this movie. So it's far from..."That thing with Bates." But to answer your question...it IS the psychological horror-thriller that stars Anthony Perkins who portrays Mr. Norman Bates.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Whoa! You are DEFINITELY a fan LOL, i knew Psycho was horror movie but i didn't know it was essentially the beginning of every horror movie ever. Was the premise an Oedipus Complex?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm a movie buff, it's my job by nature To know most things cinema and I personally love horror movies. So when you say " that thing" it's really insulting, although I know you meant that unintentionally. So my movie buff brain took over. The second one was ok, IMO. But it was received well at the box office, with fans and critics, third one sucked, and I didn't bother with the 4th one, which was the televised movie. That I never bothered to look up and watch.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Ivan, have you ever seen the movie, The Mist?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I get that, and cool.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I was watching it and decided to ask. I think you would really like it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Huh okay, is it horror?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Horror/Thriller/Sci-fi. It's a Stephen King movie.

    ReplyDelete
  72. King huh? Okay maybe not, i'm not so good with Stephen King horror movies, i'm better with sci-fi but thanks for the recommendation.

    ReplyDelete
  73. It's based on his novel. He didn't direct it. It's more of a Sci-Fi Thriller.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The movie came out in 2007 and you'll know a lot of the cast.
