Orphan Black - Insolvent Phantom of Tomorrow - Advance Preview

13 Jun 2015

This Saturday on BBC America, Orphan Black will air its penultimate episode of its third season, titled "Insolvent Phantom of Tomorrow".  Since last week episode, it has become quite clear the season is coming to an end, things are escalating and accelerating, questions are answered with bigger and better new questions.
Rachel’s surprise betrayal totally blew me away last week, I’ve never saw it coming, she really played everyone, especially Sarah and Cosima, so well. And, as now she is free and working with Castor on the Duncan’s book translation, Mrs S and Sarah are coming back home, to London, in the pursuit of the Castor original. It might be their last attempt to get the upper hand on Castor, so Mrs S will make it pretty clear where she stands. She is going to kill that Castor original as soon as she finds him ! That the S I love.

But the trip to London will allow us to learn a lot of things about Mrs S and that will be really amazing. She always has been a very mysterious character, she made questionable choices but she always tried to protect her children (Sarah, Felix and Kira). Learning about Mrs S past, her life before she had Sarah and Felix, what she used to, where she used to go, who she used to see and to shag (oh yeah) will be pretty exciting and very informative. Her former friends will help her to locate the Castor original, as the number Rachel translated from the book, will turn out to be a direct link to a person. The Castor original ? Can it be ?

"Insolvent  Phantom of Tomorrow" will be very exciting and thrilling episode, it will start to put things in motion for the season finale. There will be blood, many twists, shocking revelations, fun and light moments. As usual this season, the episode will be intense and huge. Find out more about it :

-  "Insolvent  Phantom of Tomorrow" will start right off in London, with Mrs S, Sarah and Felix’s arrival in taxi. There's no place like home they say.
- Last week, Delphine gave Cosima Shay’s secret file and so this week, Cosima will read it and what she will discover will make her suspect Shay. Finally ! That woman was/is military so probably Castor, right ? Cosima will connect all the dots (like how did Rudy knew about her sickness when he came to Scott's ?) and she will come to Delphine for help to find out who Shay really is. But will Delphine be ready to help Cosima after everything she has done ? What reason could she have ? Like proving she was right ? : )
- Helena will be a on a new path, getting ready to be a mother, being more calm living at the Hendrix with Gracie, Allie and Donnie. She’ll spend more time with Allie’s daughter, and it will be as funny as last week. Helena will also really enjoy working for Allison, especially the making soaps process. You’ll love the way she does it.
- As seen in the promo, Maria Doyle Kennedy will perform an amazing musical sequence. Her voice is absolutely fabulous, I had no idea she could sing so well. And there will be something happening in the same time as she will sing which will make the whole scene even better, giving a real meaning to the lyrics.
- Mark will be seen ! Finally, after all that time ! Still, it won't be quite clear what he has been up to.
- One character will have a medical appointment but we’ll quickly get the feeling something is off.
- Delphine will mention what happened to one of her friend, at Boarding School and i will be quite scary. Oh, the new Delphine...
- We will finally know who stole the book, The Island of Doctor Moreau, from Dyad ! Is it the mole or someone else ?
- Jobless Cosima and Scott will have not much to do but to talk, at Scott’s apartment, trying to pass time. Cosima will start questioning her decision to quit Dyad. It was an impulsive, and out of character move from Cosima but can she really be back after what she pulled ? I’m not sure Topsite would be happy about it. Of course, Delphine has already been lying to them so…
- Someone will find Helena’s eggs... It won't be a good idea to mess it up, better to let them where they are.
- There will be a very suspenseful scene, in quite a dark place. God, I was afraid my heart would tear up my chest.
- The Castor brain test will be back ! Coady will ask the weird questions, expecting the true/false answers. One clone will get it wrong, oh... We all know what it means. It will motivate Castor to get their hands on the original first !
- Donnie’s fight with Jason last week will have serious consequences for Allison and Donnie’s drug business. Donnie will try to fix it, doing his best to keep Allison out of the loop. He will have to rely on Helena's help.
- There will lot of blood in "Insolvent Phantom of Tomorrow", and some gruesome scenes. There will also be deaths but no one major.
- Mrs S will try to keep something secret from Sarah and Felix. I do mean try.
- Someone will realize, maybe a little too late, just how wrong she/he has been… Oops.
- Allison will wonder about her husband whereabouts since he didn't sleep in their bed, as he was unconscious at Bubbles but Allison will have a very tight schedule and many things to worry about.
- There will be a new bath scene, but this time, it will be less sexy and sweet than Cosima and Shay's.
- This season, Allison interpreted Sarah while Sarah was Rachel for a moment, then Cosima played Allison and this week, another clone will interpret one of her sisters. It will be great and so funny.
- Ferdinand (James Frain) will be back (he had to be). He is in London, and he will learn that Sarah Manning is in town. Remember last time he saw her, she was held at Dyad (and it was actually Allison Hendrix). Guess Delphine will have some explaining to do…
- Sarah will be that close to find the Castor original. Or is it really him ? I can only tell you there is a big surprise coming… I should write surprises. And of course, Sarah won’t the only one after him.
- Pouchy will be back and he won’t be happy. That guy never looks happy anyway.
- Delphine and Shay will have a conversation. I’m not saying more, but Delphine will ask all the questions I’ve been dying to ask ! Dark Delphine is freaking hot.
- Donnie and Helena will share more than one emotional and powerful scenes. Their chemistry is awesome, it’s a great match the writers have made there. I’m sure you’ll love watching them together.
- The identity of the Leda mole will be discovered ! I don’t want to say more, I’ll just say it’s a female character !
- EDIT: The ending of the episode will leave you speechless. I didn't want to write about it but I'll just say it's probably the best ending in the whole series. My first reaction was "Wow"... for 5 minutes.

"Insolvent Phantom of Tomorrow" will be another exciting and epic of Orphan Black. The scenes in London will be a nice change of settings and many revelations and twists will happen there. The other stroylines, Cosima & Delphine and Helena & Donnie, will be as exciting and great, less revealing about the main story of course but still, they will put things in motion for the final episode of this season. It's going to an excellent season finale ! You just can’t miss the next Orphan Black this Saturday on BBC America.
How excited are you about it ? Who do you think is the mole ? Are you interested in Mrs S’s past ? Who the hell is the Castor original ? Hit the comments !

Finally some quotes from "Insolvent Phantom of Tomorrow". Guess who will say them. Some quotes (two max.) can be from the same character :

 1-“You are fierce warrior”
2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know”
3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters)
4- “What are you not telling me ?”
 5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe”
 6-”I don’t really entertain much”
7-”I put everyone in danger. You, Sarah... Everybody”
 8-”You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had”
9-”Oh my God, it was you”

  1. Fantastic preview, as usual - thanks so much. I think the mole could be one of the clones - that would be a shock/surprise. Can't wait to watch it - dying to know what the story is with Shay. Too obvious for her to be the mole I reckon.

  2. Thanks. A Leda clone working for Castor !? I don't think I could handle it but who knows :)
Sure, Shay is an obvious choice for now, but there's the file.

  3. Thank you Romain for your previews, they help me cope with the waiting :)

One thing: will the razor that's been shown in the preview be connected to a scene in particular involving... blonde people?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Im glad you could help :)
Yes it will be connected to a blonde character. Nice catch ;)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Thank you for replying :) If it is who I think it is, that's gonna be interesting (and ouch).

  6. Yeah, it might be a bit much! But the only other female working at Dyad is Delphine isn't it? And I can't imagine that they would make her the mole because there's already been a lot of mistrust and I can't see the Cophine relationship moving forward if that happened. Does the mole actually work at Dyad?

  7. Thanks for the preview. So, does Delphine come off as fascinating and darkly protective in this ep, or increasingly unstable? I'm getting worried about her.

Thanks for your review!!! You are truly awesome! Are Cosima and Delphine heading towards a reconciliation? Are there signs that we will see Cophine reunited by the end of this epic season?

    Thanks!
Can't wait for the next episode!
I guess the answers of the quotes are:

    1- Helena
    2- Delphine
    3- Delphine and Helena
    4- Delphine
    5- Mark
    6- Sarah
    7- Cosima
    8- Donnie
    9- Sarah

  10. Wow... this ep will deliver ..i can tell ..Thanks for the super early and very informative preview Romain!

And now for the hard hitting questions!:

Will Delphine SLAY!?(DUh.)..Will Ferdinand still be creepy as hell? .. Will Sarah & Co. have time for some fish & chips? ..has Kira already achieved world peace and solved global warming while vacationing in Iceland?

    My guesses for this EP:

1-“You are fierce warrior” Helena congratulating Donnie, her new partner in crime.

2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know” Sarah trying to dig up info about Castor perhaps?

3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters) Delphine being really polite with Shay xD

4- “What are you not telling me ?” Delphine trying for the 34946983987 time to get Cosima to open up and stop being such a stubborn geek monkey.

5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe” Me ..about the Fanstastic 4 (clones) xD (hope none of them die this season honestly!) No but seriously.. Ms S ...

6-”I don’t really entertain much” Shay apologizing for not being able to offer some liquorice root juice to Delphine & Co. xD

7-”I put everyone in danger. You, Sarah... Everybody” Cosima owning up to all of her season 3 shenaningans xD

8-”You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had” Alison

9-”Oh my God, it was you” ME .. when they reveal who the hell the mole is!

Ps: ..The Mole: My bet is on Gracie ... Probs someone from Castor convinced her she would be actually helping Mark by helping them and she's being naive and manipulated enough before ..I'll have to wait till Saturday to find out but my bet is on her.

    3) Delphine and someone
    4) Delphine

    6) Scott
    7) Cosima
    8) Alison
    9) Felix

  12. Hi Romain! Sorry I have missed the passed couple of previews/reviews. I have just been so busy, that I haven't been able to make all my usual rounds!

"It might be their last attempt to get the upper hand on Castor, so Mrs S will make it pretty clear where she stands. She is going to kill that Castor original as soon as she finds him ! That the S I love."

Ha! I kind of love this, not just because of S herself, but because Helena just felt the same way about her when she showed up at the cantina...and speaking of Cantina, I happened to notice Star Wars Funko-Pops in the last episode (Scotts place, I think) and now there is the word "Phantom" in the episode title? Hmmmm Coincidence? If not, I wonder what it means? Is someone going to meet there father and be blown away by who it is??? Or is this just more Attack of the Clones and the beginning of the Clone Wars ;)

"Ferdinand (James Frain) will be back (he had to be). He is in London, and he will learn that Sarah Manning is in town. Remember last time he saw her, she was held at Dyad (and it was actually Allison Hendrix). Guess Delphine will have some explaining to do…"

Oh Good! He has been so under used so far! He's such a talented actor. I hope that he makes it so that he can maybe have a bigger part next season!

I'm looking forward to all of these surprises and the shock ending!! Is there any Gracie in the episode and/or do we know if Mark survived? (I really would like to root for those two).

    Thanks for everything!! :)

  13. There will be a very suspenseful scene, in quite a dark place. God, I was afraid my heart would tear up my chest.

Is this Delphine-related? Because i am so scared at that sneak peek of Delphine-Shay scene.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Just for fun, here is a screen cap of Darth Vader, R2D2, Jaba the Hutt, and Hoth Luke Funko Pop Figures on Scott's table (let alone that HUGE Mortal Kombat statue!) LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hmm the mole at Leda is a female so that might be Delphine? :( I really cannot think of any other female. I get the feeling that the person who has the book and the individual who is the mole is two different.
I would definitely love to learn about Mrs.S past. Will the cophine scenes be hopeful or just destroy my bubble of them getting back together.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Can you tell me if we will see poor Krystal a little bit this epi ? And will Del and Cos reteam to find the mole ? And will Del find out Rach has gone ???

    ReplyDelete
  17. i was going to ask about Krystal too

    ReplyDelete
  18. 1-“You are fierce warrior” - Helena
2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know” - Sarah
3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters) - Delphine + ??
4- “What are you not telling me ?” - I know this one's Cosima. (It's in another preview.)
    5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe” - Mark?
    6-”I don’t really entertain much” - Helena
7-”I put everyone in danger. You, Sarah... Everybody” - ?
    8-”You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had” - Alison
9-”Oh my God, it was you” - Ferdinand?

    ReplyDelete
  19. And I've changed my mind about the mole - I think it's Gracie (she knew about the book and didn't know Scott had it in his bag which is probably why Rudy had considered going to Cosima's - rather than heading straight to Scott's). Plus it makes sense for her to side with Castor.

    ReplyDelete
  20. For me, it's more fascinating and darkly protective :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. You're welcome.
There won't be signs but things will be definitely cooler between them than before. You can still hope for a cophine reunion in the season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Nice done you got 5 :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thank you :)
Ferdinand will be creepy as hell just like in the season premiere. Sarah and co will have time to get something to eat, but not fish & chips and well little Kira is still having fun there I guess :)

As for the quotes game, you got 5 :) excellent

    ReplyDelete
  24. Excellent you got 6 :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. No that scene won't be Delphine related ;)
The Delphine Shay confrontation will be so good :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. You might be right about the one stealing the book and the mole being different people... or they can be the same :D
The Cophine scenes will be more hopeful than usual this season :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Great. That was better than the 2 I got last time I tried the quotes game :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ ΜΑΓΓΙΖΗ11 June 2015 at 06:54

How did she know about the book?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Krystal won't be seen in the episode, I'm guessing she's still in a coma at Dyad and no one is questioning it's not Rachel.

    ReplyDelete
  30. There is a scene where Sarah, Mrs S, and I think Felix have skyped Scott and Rachel and they talk about the book etc as Gracie is just slowly going upstairs - within hearing range of the conversation.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hey ! Nice to see you back :) Always love your comments.

Ahah I'm not a Star Wars fan (actually I haven't seen any movie of the saga. Don't throw me rocks) but nice catch, Scott is definitely the nerdest character on OB :) I love his place

I was glad to see James Frain back, he has been a bit under used, They did better last season with Michelle Forbes' character. I really want to see him back, he's so good being bad.

Yeah, Mark will be back this week. He did survive the explosion :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cooler as in cold? Or cooler in a good way?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, I'm with Anwhiz on the mole - and I love the guesses. :)
    Love Ferdinand too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love how the only question u didn't answer was "Will Delphine SLAY!?" its 'cause its OBVIOUS she will, right? ;) ...How awesome will the Shaydown be? are we gonna get some new important info about who Shay D. really is/works for (cant believe the writers actually pulled this name off well she IS pretty shady after all xD) And Wow i was half joking in some of my guesses and got 5! will def try to get the other 4 now xD

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lol Thanks! I did have some fun coming up with crazy theories for a moment there, and u got 6! def gonna cross check with ur guesses to see if i can figure out the other 4 before saturday! :)

And Ferdinand teaming up with Rachel in the future (assuming they are still on the same side ..i mean u never know with this show!) Thats Clone Club's (and Delphine's) worst nightmare right there!

As soon as I read that the mole is a female character ...I started backtracking:

    -Been to Sarah' Loft? Gracie

-Been (Somehow informed about) and in a relationship with A Castor? Gracie

-In the know of the clone disease, and the fact it could affect her loved one? Gracie

-Easily manipulated back into a fanatic cray cray cult (and back)? Gracie

-Has met all the Clones? Gracie

-Been to Ms S' house? Gracie

    -Been to DYAD!!? Gracie

-Overheard plenty of Clone Club's important details and convos? Gracie

-Been to Bubbles? Gracie (not really important but it goes to show she's everywhere this season xD)

So while Shay D distracted everyone as the default potential mole Gracie slipped pretty much under the radar this whole season, i do believe she could be in a double blind (kinda like Season 1 Donnie) situation and is just trying to save Mark, but at this point really who else could it be!?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Probably in a Cool "Crazy Science" kind of way ,right Romain? xD

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thank you for keeping us sane during this testing season Romain I think it's helped us keep patience otherwise some of us would have lost interest a while back.

Out of curiosity does Cosima tell delphine what she's hiding or is she mute so to speak. ( I'm guessing it would be related to her illness right)!

I'm thinking there emotions won't be as strong as last week I mean it will be very hard to top that .

I'm liking the mrs s pics she's is underused but she like Evelyne is amazing when used.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Super smokey, what if it's Gracie :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yep, has to be Gracie now I reckon. Will be interesting to see what the Shay story is. I think she might end up dead but not by Delphine. Think she was brought in as a 'ship' that was made to be sunk.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ahhh, let's hope so. Would be great if they could get some trust in their relationship and end season 3 on a positive note. Hope Ferdinand does play a bigger role next season. Plus Krystal - or is it Crystal?? She was great I thought- and I've only seen positive comments about her (the boy clone last season - can't remember his name - didn't have such a positive impact I don't think).

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm going to have another go at the quotes:
    1) Helena
    2) Ferdinand
    3) Delphine and someone else
    4) Delphine
    5) Mrs S
    6) Scott
    7) Cosima
    8) Donnie
    9) Mark
Also, I'm a bit confused about the book stealing - don't we know that Rudy actually took the original book from Scott? And the copy is with Delphine somewhere safe?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thank you sooooo much!! I can't wait!!!

    My guess:

    1) Helena

    2) Delphine

    3) Delphine/Helena

    4) Delphine

    5) Delphine

    6) Scott

    7) Cosima

    8) Felix

    9) Mrs. S

    ReplyDelete
  43. You're welcome

Very nice you got 6 :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. You got 6 ! Excellent

Well, Rudy did seal the book true, I meant the person who had rated about the book to Castor :D

    ReplyDelete
  45. Cooler in a good way. Less cold :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. It was Tony and he wasn't much liked by some fans true, I very much enjoyed his part but Krystal is definitely my favorite temporary clone. She was so much fun but now lying in bed, in a coma, she's not that interesting.
First, Sarah or any other sisters need to find out Rachel is gone, and only then they would check Krystal in Dyad. I hope for her stakes it won't be too long.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you very much for this Romain! It's nice and entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  48. awesome! :D How is Delphine in EP9 do you think? sad? angry? dark? and what else?

    ReplyDelete
  49. How awesome is Delphine this episode? Is there a particular scene that we will be more in awe of her?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Round 2 ! Let the wild guessing begin!:

1-“You are fierce warrior” Helena congratulating Donnie, her new partner in crime.

2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know” Ferdinand before doing something extra creepy (im assuming he's the one with the razor blade from the promo actually)

3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters) Delphine being really polite with Shay xD

4- “What are you not telling me ?” Delphine trying for the 34946983987 time to get Cosima to open up and stop being such a stubborn geek monkey.

5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe” Our Fave Prolethean Castor Clone Mark

6-”I don’t really entertain much” Scott apologising for Denise's lack of roommate etiquette

7-”I put everyone in danger. You, Sarah... Everybody” Cosima owning up to all of her season 3 shenanigans xD

8-”You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had” Alison being Alison

9-”Oh my God, it was you” Ms S! *Insert Irish accent and Tyra Banks "Rooting for you" meme here*

Ps: ..The Mole: My bet is on Gracie ... Probably someone from Castor convinced her she would be actually helping Mark by helping them and she's being naive and manipulated enough before ..I'll have to wait till Saturday to find out but my bet is on her. < Yep still think its Gracie XD.

    ReplyDelete
  51. When you mentioned abt jobless Scott and Cosima and you said that Delphine has already been lying to Topsite, are you referring to her lying about Sarah being kept at Dyad or something else?

    ReplyDelete
  52. She's pretty damn awesome. Her scene with Shay will totally amazing :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Haha, well Cosima will have to decide if she can finally trust Delphine and tell her everything. It might involve more than just her sickness.

Mrs S is one the best character on Orphan Black, so complex and MDK is just a hell of an actress :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yes, I meant the whole Sarah/Rachel mess Delphine covered up ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Melissa Wilkinson11 June 2015 at 14:05

The titles from all the episodes this season seem to be taken from Eisenhowers military industrial complex speech.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Will we hear Donnie speak Portuguese again ?
Thanks for this, I can't wait to see the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Leela Keshavan11 June 2015 at 14:15

Is Krystal alive? I'm stressing out about her.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yes he will speak Portuguese again and Pouchy will say something mean (but funny) to him

    ReplyDelete
  59. Me too. I think she has to stay in her coma so no one would suspect it's not Rachel.
And as Scott sin't yad anymore, he won't be playing with her. No one is going to check on her in this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Excellent you got 7 wow :)

Gracie as the mole would be a nice twist but it'd destroy her whole redemption arc, realizing the clones are not abomination but real people.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Is Delphine in the preview for ep10? if she is, how was it?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Uhmm ... You make a good point there ..but I think she would still choose Mark over Clone Club if it means she can save him from the Clone Disease... but yes u are right it would kinde ruin her character .....You are not making this any easier are you !? xD

Lucky 7 Yes! I think 5 and 9 are the wrong ones ...maybe i'll give it another final try before saturday ^_^ ... and I know u are (kinda? :) ) part of Delphine's Defence Squad and u don't seem concerned about her character being damaged by that whole scene with Shay ...so i'll just asume it will be Delphine having a very informative chat with Shay and just being her awesome french self ;) (still can't believe how much my perception of Delphine changed this season! they totally pulled a "Carol" (if u watch The Walking Dead u'll understand XD) with her! Props to the writers!)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Cool! But doesn't mean they can't multi-reference! There are some episodes that have allusions to Terminator films.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks for answering my questions and don't worry, no rock-throwing is needed!

The Plots of Star Wars have a lot of elements that are similar with The World Wars and some familiar Christian allegories. (And there is a "Clone Army" where they can be pre-programmed like sleeper agents by a code word that makes them "turn") Episode one happens to be titled, The Phantom Menace and is partially about a boy who was conceived by by divine intervention (had a mother, but no father = Jesus/"prodigal son") and could be a boy noted in a Jedi Prophecy, but ultimately he ends up on the other path and by Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, he becomes the iconic Darth Vader (But Vader works for Darth Sidious - and there was another OB episode title this season with the word "insidious" in it!)....

I just found it curious since the characters are looking for "the original" Castor and the military aspect of Castor does remind me of Star Wars Clone Wars...

    ReplyDelete
  65. So, my guess for a cliffhanger twist is... instead of the Castor original, they find instead either the Leda original or a whole other group of Leda clones already in contact with each other. And as for the mole, while all the Leda clones were made by Project Leda, the sisters are not the only women who are part of Leda, therefore the Leda mole is... a still-alive Susan Duncan - even though, given her knowledge of Castor and last week's brilliant ploy, Rachel is a better fit than the too-obvious Shay; and as much as Delphine has been an in-bed-with-Leekie Neolutionist since the beginning, there is nothing to suggest that Neolution ever had anything to do with Castor. Which reminds me, there's a bigger unanswered question: who's running Olivier's club now, and does anyone else at Dyad have a tail? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh, and the secret S will try to keep? She had a child long before she adopted Sarah and Felix!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hmm interesting .

I don't understand why they always leave the best episodes till the end I mean luckily the show has loyal fans but sometimes they end up losing faith .

Did you see the preview clip for the finale

    ReplyDelete
  68. Sorry forgot to add I'm sure it can't be anything romantic or emotional cus delphine is too annoyed for any of that .... Or am I wrong hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  69. First off, I've got a question - will it be a real clone switcheroo again (you forgot to put Krystal as Rachel on that list, lol) or will it be only one mocking the other, imitating them to get someone to laugh (for instance us, viewers, like Cosima did when she imitated Dr Leekie xD)?

And now onto my (sorta) guesses, also based on others' results xD :

1-“You are fierce warrior” - Helena to Donnie, a missing pronoun is a dead giveaway.
2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know” - Ferdinand, while looking for Sarah, to the guy he beats up.
3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters) - You're saying it's two characters but based on my calculations of other users' results this was guessed correctly as Delphine, and it is only said by Delphine in this scene. And refrained with "Sit down." to Shay, obviously...Buuut now I think I got the point - IT IS SAID BY 2 CHARACTERS (it's not an uncommon word after all xD), BUT IN DIFFERENT SCENES, right? So my second guess as for this one will be probably Mrs S to the supposed Castor Original.
4- “What are you not telling me ?” This is SO obviously Delphine to Cosima, think it was featured in another promo.
5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe” Also guessing it's Mark to Gracie, after turning up God knows where, probably even at Mrs S's doorstep when she and the gang goes away.
6-”I don’t really entertain much” Scott to Cosima, as a nerd sucking at cheering her up.
7-”I put everyone in danger. You, Sarah... Everybody” Cosima to Scott, feeling guilty about what's been happening lately, also featured in the promo.
8-”You wouldn’t believe the day I’ve had” Donnie to Alison after visiting Pouchy, a nice role-reversal, him actually having s*it to complain about for a change. xD
9-”Oh my God, it was you” Delphine (?) finding out the identity of the mole. This must regard the mole, 'cause I god strong vibes from your preview the Castor Original will be a red herring, also as for what someone may be referring to when saying "it was you", this IMHO suggests some action i.e. providing Castor with Duncan's book.

Also, I am really really curious about that suspenseful scene, can you give any more hints?! Is it really that scary?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Good guessing! Yep I think 5 and 9 are the wrong ones. I'll have another go too later. I still reckon on Gracie too and maybe she doesn't have a redemption arc and is actually still an intolerant Prolethian at heart- she does have a troubled expression on her face sometimes. Unless - Marion is back and Cosima has been talking to her or something and Marion is the mole. She came into the season late last time too didn't she? Enjoying this season so much and loving this site too and the great reviews and comments.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ah thanks. Still thinking Gracie. About the clone switcheroo - could it be Helena being Alison? That would be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I don't think Gracie is evil per se, IF she were to be the mole (now Romain's comment got me guessing a little bit again xD) ...I think if she would take sides with Castor only to help/save Mark ...

And by that same logic I don't really think Marion could be the mole ...other than because of the fact it would be narratively cheap (at least to the audience) ..i mean she just comes out of nowhere and becomes this huge player in the dynamics of the show .. 1 EP before the finale!?..highly unlikely IMO.

Also if u remember at the end of season 2 Marion makes her motivations pretty clear to Sarah: She knows the disease that affects Clone Club will potentially affect Lil' Charlotte as well, she's invested (I think Marion and Delphine share very similar positions when it comes to the clones and their personal attachment to them and how that shapes their actions, also it could explain why Delphine became the new Rachel so easily ... Marion could have influenced the decision-making back at Topside knowing she can trust Delphine since she's invested in saving Cosima (and therefore Clone Club) too.

I think "Beth's" words make a lot of sense in this context ..the whole "we make horrible things for the people we love" or something like that and specially the "Stop asking why ..start asking who" ...Everyone is doing whatever it takes (Clone Club just screwed Krystal over, Delphine freezing her relationship with Cosima, Castor kidnaping women and running ilegal experiments,Paul sacrificing himself to stop Coady and her crazyness, Nealon betraying Delphine/DYAD) to help/save someone they love ...

So by that logic it would make sense Rachel mysterious rescuer would be none other than Momma Duncan! I gotta say ...Season 2 was all over the place ..and before S3 started I wasn't really into the whole male clone thing 'cause i was pretty sure it would mess the dynamics of the show but this new season (especially from 3x05 up) was really brought that original OB feel back! Here's hoping they end S3 on a high note and bring it for S4 ..but if these last eps are any indication I think there's still plenty of OB left to enjoy!

And yes this site is pretty cool, i think it will be my OB discussion/spoilers/reviews site of choice from now on ^__^

    ReplyDelete
  73. Oooh, great perceptive comments - thanks - that all makes a lot of sense - yes, it would feel a bit boring to bring in Marion again in the same way. And that comment of Beth's - doing terrible things for the people we love - yes, a poignant theme of the series now you mention it. Who? Who? Susan Duncan - gotta be. Yep, have loved this series too. Dark, witty, emotional - I'm really invested. :)

  74. " But will Delphine be ready to help Cosima after everything she has done ? What reason could she have ? Like proving she was right ? : )"

Oh I don't know, maybe Delphine would want to make up for her own lies and stalkery abusive behavior. I'm sorry, Cosima has no obligation to trust Delphine, when Delphine's stupidly set herself up again and again and repeatedly violated Cosima's trust. Delphine bitches about them trusting her, but loses Rachel and trusts the doctor that's obviously shady.

And really unless Shay does something REAL awful, there's not much she could do that Delphine hasn't done already herself.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I think Delphine is less hurt about not being trusted in general, and more hurt about Clone Club trusting Rachel, the one who was going to eliminate them and all of their families, over Delphine herself, the one who stopped the assassinations from taking place in the first place. It's a tough blow, you know.

Delphine can be very hypocritical, but I always find myself rooting for her anyway because I appreciate her character's complexity, and what fun is a black and white character who never does or gets anything wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well, when you act shady, stalkery, and secretive, that's what's going to happen (Not to mention incredibly incompetent)

I don't think she's that complex. She's pretty much there to give Cosima a storyline. That storyline has been the same for three seasons " 'forbidden love makes decisions against her and they fight before Cosima inexplicably forgives her'. except now she has a higher paygrade and straight hair.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well I don't agree with you at all, but I don't think I'm going to get you to change your mind since your opinion about her seems to be set in stone. Have a good day!

    ReplyDelete
  78. The only problem I have with this article are the grammar mistakes. Geez! Does no one proofread anymore?!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Give the guy a break. Either English is not his first language or he's really excited to post it as we are for him to do so. We've all noticed the mistakes, but don't make him feel bad.

    ReplyDelete
  80. he's French....and he's nice :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah, I think he's great and love his previews. :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Maybe the mole is Sarah. The episode titles for this season are direct quotes from US's 34th President, Dwight D. Eisenhower's farewell address to the nation speech. Where he basically says, we need to work together - compromise - to achieve peace. It's not gonna come from one getting over the other, or some miraculous plan on one side of things. We limit the power of the military and science, but we work together to find a common goal. So, maybe Sarah worked out some deal with Topsite and the military, under the covers, while keeping up with what Leda had. Working things from both ends. That would explain why Rudy didn't hurt Scott when he had the chance. Sarah must've said, no hurting the geek monkey or her friends.

Eisenhower was responsible for ending the Korean War, and settling tension with the Soviet Union w/o creating anymore tension. And that was all because of peacemaking with forces he didn't like.

I think it goes in line with spoiler from awhile ago that said that Sarah has to make uncomfortable alliances with Castor and Topsite, and that while the Leda clones relax, a life hangs in the balance.

    But yeah, maybe I'm off.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Sorry English is not my first language, I try to proofread as much as I can, I'll do better next time :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. She is. I have seen a promo but not the actual episode yet.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Great thoughts :) Sunsan Ducan still being alive would be a great surprise and twist :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. I don't want to spill much about the Delphine/Shay confrontation :)
But I watch TWD and I'm a big fan of Carol too :) I totally get your point there :) It's true the writers made a real and great job this season with Delphine. When last season she was sent to Germany I was afraid she would never come back.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Maybe.. Maybe not haha :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. It'll be a real clone switch, one clone will try to pass herself as her sister for real and it'll work.
As for the suspenseful scene, it's not that scary but stressful. It'll take place at the end ;)

And nice you got 5 corrects :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. It's a great theory. Sarah working with Castor behind her sisters would be so shocking but I could understand it. After all, "we do terrible things for the people we love."
But could she really betray her family (S + her sestras) ?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yeah I agree - Delphine has been great this season even though she was missing for a few episodes - she has made a big impression recently. I hope she's around for season 4. I think they'd have to give her a decent storyline again because she's a great actress. I can't see her staying as head of Dyad for much longer though.

    ReplyDelete
  91. So, Helena as Alison?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Well Helena has a strong Russian accent, it'd be hard to cover it up and pass herself as Allison but who knows :p

    ReplyDelete
  93. I know ! U have not given me anything about it ! Which can only mean its good and u don't wanna spoil the awesomeness to come :)

And u watch TWD too , Awesome!

Both Carol/Delphine went from characters that were constantly anchored and dependent on other characters decisions/development ..to actual power players that affect the plot and the dynamics within the main storylines, which is always great, especially when there's a great actor behind the character, 'cause the reason i didn't care for Delphine in the past is not because of EBro, she's an amazing actress! (she's actually the best of the rest of the cast - except for Jordan probably - went it comes to going back and forth with Tat IMO), but because of the lack of depth and impact her character suffered from during the first 2 seasons.

I also thought she was gone when Rachel sent her to Germany ..and I remember thinking the whole "Cosima's Near-Death Experience Vision" was kinda random, Little did I know those sneaky writers were planning to bring it back in a very meaningful way in S3 xD

Actually we could say that Shay is a version of S1 Delphine in a way (Hope they also give her some more development (Maybe she's a ghost that was sent by Paul!? that would be pretty cool , and it would also explain her involvement with the military) ...IF she even makes it out of S3 alive that is xD

On another note ...can wait for the Clone-Swap madness that will be Helena as Alison ...I bet it will be BLOODY hilarious *pun totally intended* xD

  94. Round 3! My final guesses for this week's EP:

1-“You are fierce warrior” Helena congratulating Donnie, her new partner in crime.

2-“You’ll tell me what I want to know” Ferdinand before doing something extra creepy (im assuming he's the one with the razor blade from the promo actually)

3-“Sit” (this one will be actually said by two characters) Delphine being really polite with Shay xD

4- “What are you not telling me ?” Delphine trying for the 34946983987 time to get Cosima to open up and stop being such a stubborn geek monkey.

5-“Cause I need to know you’re safe” Donnie justifying some pretty bad decision making to Alison

9-”Oh my God, it was you” I'm assuming this relates to the mole's identity ..so I'll give the honors to Clone Club's Comander-In-Chief Sarah ! XD

Even though it's not your first language, your writing style is clear and perfectly comprehensive. I am not a native English speaker myself, but reading your previews is a sheer pleasure. What's really important is not the amount of grammar mistakes, but the way you convey information (and you totally nailed it). Keep up the good work! Thankful Cophine fan from Ukraine :-)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Totally agree! and ..Helena ..IS THAT YOU !? XD

    ReplyDelete
  97. Thanks for replying!! :)

Exactly! And we all know there nothing she loves more than her family. So, I think she'd think of it more as a necessary means to end, as opposed to a betrayal, contrary to what her family might think. I mean, I wouldn't either. Sometimes you have to think objectively when you're dealing with something so close to your heart. Sort of like a President might, don't you think?

I mean...here's the thing, Cosima almost died last season, which we were reminded of in last week's episode. Her sisters were almost eliminated in the beginning of the season. Helena and herself we're kidnapped. Gracie was forcibly sterilized along with who knows how many other women. She had to send her daughter away because of the threat of Kira getting tangled up in her stuff again like last season (kira being kidnapped by Rachel).

Maybe she realizes, this whole working against the grain thing isn't working too well for her. So she said forget this...if you can't beat 'em join 'em ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    ReplyDelete
  98. 7 again ! Excellent !

    ReplyDelete
  99. I see your point, Sarah could form an alliance with Castor to protect her sisters. As their leader, it's her responsibility. It's true the writers have insisted enough that Sarah wanted to finish what Beth had started, to make all the Leda clones safe.
I'd be a real surprise and change in Sarah's character but it could be very interesting. Aw, Saturday can't come fast enough !

    ReplyDelete
  100. Thanks, it's very nice of you :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. Ah ah ah ! I just realized ! XD

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thanks you're all very nice ;)

    ReplyDelete
  103. The show keeps presenting Shay as too-suspicious, it's a classic distraction technique; so the real mole has to be someone else... if Ethan Duncan survived, Susan might have as well... maybe she's running Olivier's club now? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  104. It's true Shay is the obvious choice but maybe the reasons why she'd be spying on Cosima and her sisters are the twist and the surprising part :)

Susan could be very well alive, maybe running the club, who knows ? It'd be a great storyline, I'd love to see her and to know more about her :) just like with Ethan last season

Ahahahaha, you made my day! It's funny how I never associated myself with Helena))) and what makes it even more absurd is that Alona is kinda derivative name from Helena)))
    OB fandom, you are hilarious!

  106. "One of our castaways may, or may not, have spent time in a mental hospital" (J J Abrams) Thank you for that Lost flashback :p The only other secret I can think of that S might not want them to know is if she's the Leda mole, and that doesn't fit - her working for Castor goes against her wanting to kill the Castor original. Unless the Castor original turns out the be the one who killed her husband?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Precisely. Evelyne said, in regards to season 3 "when you're in danger you rise up to the challenge and react in ways you haven't before...because you were never in that situation before". So, who knows.

Either way, yesss, Saturday can not come fast enough. But only one more day, and a few more hours after that, and we'll finally get the answers we're looking for!! ^-^

    ReplyDelete
  108. I swear as soon as i read "Thankful Cophine fan from Ukraine" the funniest image of Helena came to my mind, something like this but referring to Cophine instead of donuts xD http://31.media.tumblr.com/4ee0eeadcd8432707ff218eab68298f5/tumblr_nhf33lfLBW1togzxko3_250.gif

And i had no idea about the whole Alona/Helena name connection , thats pretty cool !!

Hey since u are from Ukraine, i've always been curios about how authentic Helena's accent actually is? Is Tat Ukrainian enough as Helena ? as an actual Ukrainian what do you think ? ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  109. Don't worry so much about Krystal, she's tough as nails :p After all, "you can't crush the human spirit" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  110. After last week's super underwhelming episode, which you also loved, I'm a bit weary for tonight since you're giving it pretty much the same kind of praise.
All I'm hoping for is they make up for the lackluster installement that was episode 8.
